There were discussions between the 2 camps for a fight between Maris Briedis who's one of the best cruisers in the world [and a guy who's done well at heavyweight] and Hughie Fury.Briedis is now back at cruiser but who do you think would win a fight between Briedis and Hughie Fury?

I rarely disagree with Charlie here, and Briedis I can't praise enough, but I would take Hughie over Briedis in a heavyweight fight. Hughie's just a basket of skills, with height and reach to go with them, though he's not focused on knocking opponent's out.

It's not a surprise that Fury wants to fight Joshua as he hates him and his promotor Eddie Hearn.Joshua had this to say about Vitali'when i got in the ring i saw Vitali really staring me down and i thought dont worry about that mate we can do a few rounds too' so much for his humble mr nice guy persona which of course is fake as the guys a former drug dealer.Joshua also mentioned that he's from the streets when referring or threatening Vitali.Vitali 5 or 6 years ago would have cleaned the thugs clock,would have given him an absolute hiding but at 45 he's most likely to old but there's no doubt the thought of coming back to fight Joshua would have or is running through his mind.But maybe Vitali could come back at 45,he's very strong has an iron chin and a very scientific style so i would never write him off.

That big palooka got (very) lucky against a middle aged Wlad...who would have easily dispatched the thug 5+ years ago.
I cannot wait to see Fury whip that boy like a stepchild!

Fury says he's coming back and in training and wants Joshua.Don't know how serious he is and whether he can keep it up.Hopefully he can fight Joshua in front of 80,ooo with his friend Billy Joe Saunders on the undercard against Golovkin.Both Fury and Saunders would win them fights.Saunders will beat Golovkin but not many know that lol.Hopefully if these fights are made and they can fight on the same card that fat mess of a man Dan Rafael can watch from the front row as his 2 boys get beat.

I appears that Tyson Fury will have a lot of work to do if he chooses to begin boxing again. I am in my late 60's and I do not have a beer belly to match Fury's.

Tbh i will publicly root for Fury but im not a fan of his antics or boxing style. I would rather watch a Povetkin type and miss the Wlad era.

Ditto here. I could do without his excessive yappin’ at times, but he has some guts & bravado...which is increasingly rare amongst modern “males”. For fighters, I prefer Fedor & Mirko Filipovic’s “silent assassin” style...ice cold & dangerous.

I think we will know a lot after his first tune up fight. If he is able to come into the fight conditioned and boxes like a world class professional, then it will be promissing. The potential is there to pick up where Wlad left off, but he has to really want it.

Fight is Saturday. I had never heard of Seferi before but he's been a cruiserweight/small heavyweight for most of his career. He's also 39 years old. This should be a low risk tune up for Fury. Hopefully he's in shape!

At the weigh-in Fury towers over his undersized opponent. And he still has a huge gut. It will likely be two more tune-ups and 40 lbs lighter before he competes at the elite level, if he can ever return to it.

Fury could have been so much more than he is by now.

He's a great talker and hype artist when he does bother himself to do something. Right up there with best of them.

He just doesn't have the drive and discipline.

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury just nearly came to blows after Fury’s weigh-in in Belfast … the question is — do the guys REALLY want smoke or was it all for show? Or both?

Fury is set to take on Italian rumbler Francesco Pianeta in Belfast Saturday night — and, at the weigh-in Friday morning, Wilder got all up in Tyson’s face, prompting a crowd of people to separate the men.

Wilder & Fury have a fight scheduled for November — so, there’s a good argument to be made that this is showmanship, but then again Fury did just publicly rip Wilder, saying he doesn’t have one brain cell in his head. So, it could be real or could not be … but one thing’s for sure, it’s a hell of a lot of fun.

My worry is Fury gets cocky and somehow get knocked out by Wilder. I am hoping he can put together a performance like he did against Klitschko and make Wilder look stupid.

I still stand by my prediction that Wilder will lose in a highlight reel fashion either via drunken sailor TKO or a flat out KO. But, up to this point he has passed every test and I'm not convinced that Fury will be the one to beat him. Fury definitely has the potential to beat him but he just didn't look that great against Pianeta, who by the way, has been stopped multiple times. If the right Fury shows up then it's a drop in the bucket, but if not then I could see him getting caught with something. Wilder and Joshua have cleverly avoided each other for years now in disgraceful fashion and I won't watch any fight that either is in until they face each other and unify the belts. So for this one I'll just be looking at the result on Sunday and maybe check a highlight reel. I have probably watched the least amount of boxing this year as I have in the past 10 years because of how disgraceful and horrible the matchmaking and the decisions are.

Wilder would have lost that way if Ortiz wasn't pushing 40(or older than that if the rumours are true), there is no way a guy with the legs of a giraffe can have an iron chin in the heavyweight division. Historically all of the iron chinned guys have had stout legs and generally compact builds. Vitali is an exception on the compact build but he too had strong legs.

As for Saturday I could see a few scenarios playing out. Wilder could bum rush Fury and ko him early, or Fury could get out of the way of the wild shots and make Wilder pay and gradually weaken him and we see the Ortiz round but Fury finishes Wilder off. The fight is close to a 50-50 fight because of Fury's personal life issues.
