he gets quite a lot of recognition after his 6 interception season of 2009.

NFLdraftscout has Tyler Sash as the second best strong safety for 2012. I think that's as high as I have ever seen for a white defensive back.

Positives about Tyler Sash "¦ More than anything else, Sash has tremendous awareness for his position on the field, especially for a player with just two years of experience. He's usually in the right place at the right time, and when he's not, has the motor and the speed to play catch up. At 6-1 and 210 pounds, he has the size and physicality to support the run, but is most dangerous roaming around centerfield in pass defense. A ball-hawk, with the hands of a receiver, he has outstanding vision in the open field and more interception return yards than any player in Iowa history.

Negatives about Tyler Sash "¦ While Sash is a very good athlete, he doesn't possess elite athleticism for a safety. He won't remind you of, say, an Eric Berry at the position, but then again, who does, right? He's not the smoothest or most fluid athletically, needing to work on his back-pedal, and could get exposed if forced into too many man coverage situations.

A cool thing about Tyler Sash you probably didn't know "¦ An outstanding basketball player in high school, Sash fielded offers to play hoops at Nebraska, Iowa State, and Drake, and had dreams of playing two sports in Iowa City. In fact, his first exposure with Hawkeye head coach Kirk Ferentz was during a junior high basketball tournament. Ferentz was in the stands to watch son James in a game Sash dominated with 36 points.


I notice that it says he doesn't have elite athleticism like Eric Berry. Of course, us Caste Footballers recognize this as code for "he's white". How can a guy be an elite guard on a basketball team, the quickest, fastest guys on the court, but not have elite athleticism?? I say let's have Berry and Sash have a nice game of 1 on 1 at the nearest "Y". Sash, and his not "smooth", not "fluid" style would dominate the more "affletically gifted" Berry.

I remember skimming through this kids scout profile a couple years ago thinking Iowa had landed themselves a real good player. I look forward to seeing him and Brett Greenwood roam the Big Ten's secondaries!

Thats a shame. He was a damned good player at Iowa and was relegated to wstd in the NFL. RIP

The death of Tyler Sash is a bad surprise.

He was an excellent college player and was drafted in 2011. He was a prototypical strong safety.

Sash was a good pro player who deserved more of a chance than he got in the NFL. At least he got to play on the 2011 Giants Super Bowl winning team.

I watched Sash's entire career at Iowa and was very excited about his prospects in the NFL. Naturally, despite his gaudy collegiate production, he was barely drafted (6th Round) and was promptly jerked around by the elderly wigger, Tom Coughlin, upon arriving at his NYC-based plantation.

Sash seemed to have problems with addictions (drugs/alcohol), which was most likely his cause of death. The poor guy was only about 2 years younger than me and he's gone. If the NFL was a fair league, he'd probably be getting prepared for the season instead of wallowing in depression (and passing away). RIP...

Sad, for sure. He gave his life to be a WSTD in the JewFL. Until the caste system is eliminated from recruiting, drafting, and personnel decisions, there should be a mass exodus of White players and fans. If the league were truly racially fair, there would be greater emphasis on player safety. Until then, the owners will continue to treat the players like cattle.
