Slice should be nowhere near MMA. Sadly, the UFC will find a way to market that ape one way or another, seeing as he remains popular, God knows why.

There are also rumors that Kimbo is already scheduled to fight on the finale show, even if it's not in the Final for the contract itself.

I hate Kimbo, but I hate his fans worse. they are exactly what MMA is not suppose to be about. I see these guys defending Kimbo, saying things like "he had to go that route because he has six kids to support". In my opinion Kimbo is a typical black sterotype, black guy with six kids and no responsiblity. White people plan thier kids, blacks have them whenever they feel like it. He has a degree from the University of Miami and still his future is being a bodyguard for pornagraphers. This is not some young guy either Kimbo is 35 years old still doing this. As far as his mma future goes he might beat Roy Nelson, but I am pretty sure he doesn't get much farther. He is 35 years old and has had way more opportunity then some of the other mma fighters because he gets to train with the best instructers, but he really only has three or four years before his age catches up with him.

Is Kimbo really a bodyguard for pornagraphers or is that a prediction of yours? Either way it's kinda sad and funny that a streetfighter with a degree from Miami U ( how did he get that) ends up with a job like that. Good points about his age and likely short career as a MMA fighter. Of course Japanese MMA fans always love a good freakshow fight and so I am sure a mid 40's bout between Bob Sapp and Kimbo is very likely to happen.

G301, according to Wikipedia...

"Ferguson (aka Kimbo Slice) started working as bouncer for a strip club until highschool friend and current manager, Mike "IceyMike" Ember, offered him a job as limousine driver and bodyguard for RK Netmedia, better known as RealityKings, a Miami-based pornography production/promotion company responsible for a number of popular adult subscription websites. Kimbo still maintains close ties with RealityKings who now accompany him, as his fight entourage, under the name Team Kimbo."

Nice resume there "Bimbo Lice"

Thanks for the info, Dixie. Kimbo can shove his humility act because with that kind of resume and posse still following him around he's nothing more than a street thug that got famous. I sure hope Roy beats him tonight but even if he doesn't, no way Kimbo wins the whole thing.

Well, we'll find out tonight what really happened with Slice v. Nelson. All sorts of rumors are floating about the Internet. The most common seems to be that Kimbo wins a BS decision. I have seen both guys fight though and still can't see how Slice (who can't fight) beats a capable guy like Roy Nelson.

But like I said, we'll see tonight.

Well, Roy beat his a** the first round. Ref should have stopped it as Roy landed about 30 unanswered blows. Let's see how the second goes. Same ol' Kimbo so far. Like a turtle on his back on the ground.

Nelson TKOs Slice in the second with the same (somewhat weak) crucifix. Guess it proves the old adage about never believing Internet rumors (though the second most common rumor was that Roy wins by crucifix).

Hats off to Roy for getting it done. Bimbo would be owned by a BJJ ace or wrestler (via G&P). Just imagine the outcome with a giant mauler like Lesnar or Carwin with side control or full mount on Bimbo! BTW, notice Dana seemed irked that Roy simply made a joke (about wanting a burger)...I think Dana was a little upset his TUF "gravytrain" was derailed. They're already running ads for the next episode speculating Marcus Jones bows out (injury/sickness) & Bimbo backfills Jones' slot. I guess they're trying to get the gravytrain back on track asap.

a guy at my gym told me the story of roy getting him in a crucifix and pounding on him so I kind of suspecting Roy must have won, but then I seen Kimbo getting all this pless and I starting thinking maybe my friend didn't know what he was talking about. I guess UFC and Spike were just tring to milk the kimbo hype to get people tuned into the show.

Yeah, funny thing is that Kimbo might be better than Jones!

So, good victory by Roy, though I expected more from a BJJ black belt. He played it safe as he has about 4 more fights to go if he wants to be in the UFC. The winner will almost definitely be white again this year. Got a feeling it won't be Roy though.

Slice does come across as being a decent enough guy on the show though. He can joke at his own expense -- something they are not really known for. Of course, when you are in a house with a bunch of guys who are bigger than you and can kick you a** it pays to have a sense of humor.

Nice to see this guy lose like a novice to a guy with beer gut and a complete opposite persona. Let's have a retirement match with Bob Sapp. Maybe they can have clause if there is draw they both have to retire...

Jake Rossum just wrote an excellent article on sherdog.com about Kimbo. Rossum points out the fact that Kimbo numerous times contradicts himself. Early on in the episode Kimbo is seen talking about his faith in god. Halfway through the episode however Kimbo is seen braging to Marcus about his gang lifestyle and later show his mouthpiece with Realitykings, the porn site writtenon it. This is not an appropriate way for a 35 year old to act.
Also I think that Roy did a commendable job, he started tring to stand when that wasn't working he shot on him. He BJJ is his best asset he won both round in my opinion, in the first round Kimbo was saved by the bell, and in the second Kimbo was saved by the ref. Roy is a mixed martial artist; Kimbo is a Boxer.

Kimbum is not a boxer. He is a Youtube manifestation that beat up a bunch of no name, back yard bums. I am sick of having this negro promoted and talked about as if he actually earned his recognition. This guy is about one click above his Youtube brother Bling Bling.

Nelson beat Kimbum and that should be the end of it, but Dana must continue to sensationalize the negros so that the UFC may become a caste system similar to the NFL. So we will get force fed Kimbum and other negros until the UFC is disproportionally stacked against the whites.

Slice is so full of crap. He is the biggest hypocrite in the world. He says he has nothing to lose but he has plenty to lose after his loss to Petruzelli. Also that negro Marcus Jones is a little cry baby. He was whining about not being able to fight. TNB of acting like a 5 year old to get attention. Slice is worthless in MMA but he will still make money regardless of his non existent skills. The DWF's watched Slice on Youtube and probably thought that he would be an unstoppable force in MMA even though he was fighting a bunch of bums in street fights. Maybe now that another afflete has been exposed as a fraud it will wake some DWF's up. I doubt it however.Edited by: whiteathlete33

WA33, good analysis partner, I agree. Lice is no boxer and would be summarily destroyed in a boxing match with a decent heavyweight. He has heavier than average hands (compared to an average Joe), but Seth P. exposed his chin.

Fyi, here's a good article on Dana "Sailormouth" White's double standard on "Bimbo Lice"...initially dissing him (when in Elite XC), yet now juicing him for $ (now on TUF and having a UFC contract...already).

Dana White knows that somehow he will still be able to make money off Slice. What the hell is this guy even doing in MMA? Oh yea I forgot he will be marketed as another super afflete.

The truth is no white guy would be able to record a couple stupid fights on Youtube and then be offered millions and an invitation to the UFC. Slice just needs to find another proffesion. It won't be boxing either because even a C level fighter would knock him out inside of one round.Edited by: whiteathlete33

He'll been exposed further in the UFC. If he fights a glass-jawed fighter, he may sneak out a lucky win...but it's doubtful. I think ol' Lice would probably do best portraying (his natural self) a heel-thug in the WWE. He doesn't have the athletic ability to be a good pro wrestler, but that's where his faux "ghetto hard@$$" persona is best suited.

Dixie who was he supposed to fight when he fought Petruzelli? I don't watch much MMA but I think it was a big name fighter. The media was making it out like it was the biggest fight of the year. Then Slice got knocked out by an average fighter.Edited by: whiteathlete33
