Great list @Truthteller

Curious to see where the large number of available White QBs in the portal end up. The MAC has been quiet in the portal. I wonder if any thing changes this week.

*** Thanks Leo, I added some QB's this time. The MAC really took a beating in the early days of the Transfer portal, as the exodus of stars really hit them hard. They are going to better football programs, which is expected. Obviously, had the portal been around 9 years ago, Maxx Crosby would've never been drafted from Eastern Michigan. Akron and Miami-Ohio really took a beating, it appears. But now (final portal days) they (MAC schools) are getting the ex-3 and 4-stars that struggled to get playing time at the power schools, plus some FCS stars looking to move up. MAC player I'm most interested in is Ohio RB Duncan Brune, a European (Frankfurt), who's mother was a big time Olympic swimming star. Hope Brune moves up, but if he can't, Ohio is a decent spot. Ben Minich leaving Notre Dame for Miami-Ohio was a big get, I hope.

***L Bryant. Glad to see Cole Adams landed at Vanderbilt; stayed in the SEC. Would not be a bad thing if Vandy and few other SEC teams would go the "Indiana route" and give some more talented White athletes a shot. Adams, Bray Hubbard, Kyle Simpson and several others where big time White recruits at skill positions back in 2023 (I think). Quite surprising, and astray from the norm, for a Nick Saban recruiting class. I guess if Simpson goes to the NFL, Hubbard would be the only one left?

Truth,

To your point, yes hese guys really need to go to programs with the right culture and with players that will have their backs.

Agreed! Sick of seeing our bigger WRs racially slotted to TE! Same with our Big RBs being slotted to FB! Rarely happens to WGAs!
Not just big running backs. I saw a mock draft with Eli Heidenreich going as a fullback. He’s a tailback/slot guy.....bunch of dummies out there.

That tells me.these ******** didn’t watch a second of his tape as a slot back/wide receiver. Wow.

Just realized the portal’s deadline is only for going into the portal. Players don’t have to commit.

Leo, I was thinking the same. Saw on a Ohio Bobcats' fan site that players don’t have to commit by the 16th, that is just the entry date. More good quarterbacks are signing; added a few on this update. Including some Atlantic coast small time players (F.C.S.) going to bigger shows? L. Bryant, seems like SEC schools are going after White offensive lineman. That's a positive, I suppose? Alabama signing a Cal-Poly lineman. That tells me he's either a "depth-piece" or a diamond in the rough type. Hopefully it's the latter!

QB Bryson Beaver Oregon to Georgia (Fresh) (N.I.L. $675K)
QB Dean DeNobile Lafayette to Florida State
QB Danny Lauter Georgetown to Syracuse
QB Grayson Wilson Arkansas to Boston College
RB Victor Rosa Connecticut to Ohio
WR Cooper Perry Oregon to California-Berkley
WR Jackson Harper Connecticut to Colorado State
WR Lance Beeghley Southern Methodist to Iowa (RS Fresh)
WR Bryce Cohoon Kansas to South Dakota
WR Gavin Freeman Oklahoma State to Baylor (Senior) (Reneged Tennessee Commit')
TE Zach Grace Oregon to Louisiana State (LSU) (RS-Soph)
TE Mason Williams Ohio to Ohio State
OG Sean Kinney Lafayette to Colorado
OL Racin Delgatty Cal-Poly to Alabama
DT Carter Janki Pennsylvania (Penn) to Illinois
DT Maxwell Van Fleet Cornell to Central Michigan
LB Anthony Speca Penn State to Purdue
LB Liam Danitz Hope College to Wisconsin
LB Ryan Davis Kansas State to Baylor
LB Anthony Polano Washington State to Boston College
SS Kolby Peavy Alabama to Southern Miss (Junior) (Walk-on/4 career tackles)

Speaking of the Ohio Bobcats, it appears Duncan Brune is going back, according to those on the fan site. He'll team with ex-Connecticut RB Victor Rosa. Ohio, since the Solich days, has been a great spot for White running backs. Solich provided them a chance and they've really done well for the Bobcats, since the early 2000's. Ohio has also beaten out several other mid-major schools for a fast, talented F.C.S. cornerback named Eli Thompson. His 2025 stat-line was: 47 Total Tackles, 5.5 TFL's, 1 Sack, 4 INT's, 10 PD's, and 1 FF

Psyched up about watching Bobcat football. Not since cult figure AJO

I'm really glad that Whittingham picked up another white defender. Next year's team still only has one white starter (DE John Henry Daley) and one white backup (DT Manuel Biegel). Staehling was a team captain and has a productive year under his belt, which gives him a leg up on the younger black "real athletes" he'll be competing against as the LB room completely resets.

It was somewhere on the spectrum of 'disappointing' to 'infuriating' that Michigan never gave Liam Danitz a commitable offer. He was apparently already enrolled in a grad school program in Ann Arbor and was physically on campus. I hope Wisconsin figures out how to play him.

Even if Staehling doesn't start next season, his commitment shows that Whittingham isn't completely hellbent to the black-poly slop model.

Well one of the top candidates for “Bonehead Coach of the year “ in the portal is , Will Stein of Kentucky . He drops the Up and Coming star QB Cutter Boley. He did try for Leavitt after Boley who saw the “handwriting on the wall”. But letting Boley go was stupid . That would be like Hal Mumme letting Tim Couch go or benching him to bring in another mediocre QB when he went to UK as coach. Reports are about the about money. But what did he offer Leavitt? Probably a lot more than paying Boley . ESPN on-line report said , more or less, he was bringing in his QB , not Stoops QB . At the rate he is signing portal players , Kentucky could be called Kentucky State. Some will know what I mean by that . But left wing Lexington will accept it with open arms , like every major city with a university in the SEC . Clowns are all over college sports.

The younger Mendoza is transferring to Ga Tech
Not sure that's official, but he's in the portal.

One of the unintended consequences of unlimited portal plus NIL is that "quarterback competitions" are basically dead in the water. Indiana already paid for TCU transfer Josh Hoover, who has an established record and surely commanded a significant price tag. The contract numbers aren't public, but it's reasonable to expect $2-3 million at the very least. The guarantee of playing time is practically implied.

I think Alberto Mendoza burned his redshirt this year in mop-up duty. A true sophomore still wouldn't be badly served by taking another year with the clipboard. Duke now needs a quarterback in a pinch after their alleged $4 million/year African bailed at the 11th hour. If they get into a bidding war with Georgia Tech and Stanford, Mendoza might end up making ten times the figure he'd get as Indiana's backup. And even though he has no college tape, those schools won't be spending that amount of money for him to "try out" against their backups and walk-ons.

Right now, there would be nothing stopping him from transferring back to Indiana in 2027. If the game of musical chairs ever stops through some new rule or ruling, it will be better a better life for returning starters than promising backups.

Oklahoma seems to have had one of the top hauls for a top 25 program.

New TE coach Jason Witten will be working with Florida transfer Hayden Hansen, Colorado State transfer Rocky Beers, and Tennessee transfer Jack Van Dorselaer.

QB John Mateer returns and will throw to Texas WR transfer Parker Livingstone. Former Michigan LB Cole Sullivan will surely start and could partner with Owen Heinicke (if he's allowed to not count his lacrosse season against his football eligibility).

This should add a few white starters to positions where they weren't at the start of last season.
