This hasn't been mentioned yet here and doesn't really deserve its own thread. Washington's dreadlocked midget black quarterback-black negotiated a new "top of the market" contract raise for himself after a prolific 5-4 conference season in the Big Ten. Two or three days after signing, Demond Wiliams re-entered the transfer portal anyway, imagining he could squeeze an extra million or two elsewhere.
Washington is suing him, either for "damages" or in an attempt to enforce the contract terms. I can't imagine the player suffering much materially, regardless of outcome. It doesn't seem possible that he can come back to the locker room now. Not sure quite how true this nugget is: allegedly, a bunch of coaches and teammates were at a memorial for a Huskies women's soccer player that died of cancer last month. In the middle of the service, their phones started buzzing that their quarterback was out the door - that's how they found out.
Also, that's the new trend this year: any returning starter or even backup makes a social media post announcing their commitment to the team. Talk about reliving your high school glory days!
