Agreed on Herres. Disappointed he's not with the big boys.

Really like this pickup from Indiana State for Northwestern and HC Fitzgerald. They land a massive 6'5 285 DL in Henrik Barndt! He has been fairly productive along their DL with 6.5 sacks last 2 seasons. Makes you wonder how a guy like this, all the way from Colorado, ends up at Indiana State? C'mon CSU, CU, Wyoming, etc. Piss poor job of keeping this guy out West! Plays to NU's and Coach Fitz advantage though that he would up in Midwest!

Joey George (DT), Griffin Korican (OL), and Jack Stewart (has played both) are all moving on from Michigan with underclassman eligibility. George and Korican were walk-ons that clawed their way onto the bottom of the depth chart early on. Stewart was a 3-star OT recruit out of high school (ranked ~#50 at his position) and was listed with the defensive linemen last year at 6'4, 314 lbs. All three should be able to find new D1 homes with more playing time available.

Rumor is that Brian Kelly is going after the Arizona State quota in the transfer portal. Garret Nussmeier should be the 2022 LSU starter not a mediocre PAC 12 black quarterback. I am personally hoping that Kelly's total caste sell out to LSU implodes.

That's a lot of beef up front! Keep us posted on where they end up.

And he’s the 3rd best QB the roster behind Nussmeier and Brennan

Dat upside. I'd say Nussmeier and Brennan are in big trouble though with this move. QB Battles seem to go to black quarterback most of the time and Kelly didn't recruit either of the incumbents..

Pretty sure he convinced Brennan to stay at LSU and now it may just be to screw him over.

That's about on par personality wise for Kelly. Left CMU hanging at their banquet to go to ND. Left ND for $$$ to go to LSU. He doesn't seem to have a problem lying to people's faces. Perhaps a run in politics will be next for Kelly when he fails in Baton Rouge.

John Rhys Plumlee now at UCF and back playing quarterback. Amazing this supreme athlete has been reduced to a bench player after he rushed for over 1,000 yards as a freshman and Ole Miss.

JT Daniels is down to Missouri, West Virginia and Oregon St.

It amazes me that Iowa and Wisconsin don’t go after him.

Safety Bryson Shaw has entered the portal. Surprising, only because he did play a lot last season with 59tkls and an INT. I figured he'd be lucky to ever see field there, so exceeded expectations.

These are some positive vibes. First off with John Rhys Plumlee back to playing qb! At this stage I would have preferred him just be a running back but I will take it!

JT Daniels will be a step up for whichever of the 3 teams wins.

Also glad to here about Cody Schrader. If he want's a chance to play on Sundays he is better off moving up to a Bigger School. Any positive press is another big plus!

Hopefully he lands somewhere else and is inserted as an immediate starter. I’m glad to see he left Ohio state.

JT Daniel should more than 3 options. His career has been hampered by injuries. Stetson Bennett is a good college QB but I think Daniels would have won them the national championship too. It’s bizarre that teams like Wisconsin and Iowa were not keen on getting him in as a transfer - Oregon State, Missouri and WVU aren’t top tier destinations. I am personally hoping he chooses Oregon State as the PAC 12 is wide open and he can make an instant impact to get Oregon State to a big time bowl game and increase his draft stock.

Like you mentioned previously Iowa and Wisconsin should be at the top of his list!

Not sure if its been mentioned but Duke wr Jake Bobo moved to UCLA and is penciled in to start. Hes got some NFl potential as he was underutilized at Duke.
Syracuse rb Cooper Lutz has moved on to Vanderbilt. Not sure how that one is going to play out but I saw some WF black coach talking about how Lutz is probably going to be the fastest player on the 2022 roster as he mentioned his 10.7 100 meter speed.
I believe Luke McCaffrey has been mentioned moving to Rice but not sure if people know he is now a wr for them. Im looking for Rices transfer rb, Dean Connor to be starting sooner or later as he looks really good on tape.
A few more non-transfer notes. Stanford cb Ethan Bonner is listed as the starter during spring ball so we will see how that goes. It seems like he has been around forever. I can't find anything on Illinois rb Mike Epstein as I thought he might have a 6th or 7th year ??? to COVId but the kid was really special before the injuries. Unfortunately I am not sure if Rice's cb Andrew Bird is going to get much playing time anymore. He has got younger guys passing him on the depth chart.
I also like Nebraska db Issac Gifford who is listed as the starting NB which is like a third corner. They had that athletic Phelan kid backing Gifford up but he is not listed on ourlads right now.

I think Epstein retired due to medical issues. His promising career was hampered by injuries.

it looks like you know your stuff - I hope you stick around. College football write ups are around the corner if you are interested ;)

This is just one example of why this is such a quality website...so many contributions (news) from different posters!

Welcome to Ben Sharp Arrow! Enjoying the Solid post! Hope it works out at Vanderbilt for Cooper Lutz! Had almost forgot about Jake Bobo to UCLA...had a nice start to last season at Duke . It's Ethan Bonner's time to shine at Stanford!

Interested to see where ex Texas A&M TE Baylor Cupp ends up??
Former LB turned TE Luke Knox (younger brother of NFL/Bills Dawson Knox) is leaving Ole Miss...curious which team he goes to?

Surprised to see Safety Bryson Shaw leave Ohio State too...he was getting playing time for a young player! Does he end up with the Wisconsin Badgers?

Sorry Mike Epstein gave up football...break away threat had a legit shot in the NFL...guess no real surprise ;Just way too many injuries.

Texas A&M WR Caleb Chapman has entered the transfer portal. Chapman has huge potential, he’s 6’5 and was a 4 star recruit. He was never able to stay healthy at A&M but he was very impressive when he was healthy. He caught 9 passes for 151 yards and 2 TD’s against top 5 ranked Florida in 2021.
