Don King did this before one of his big fights (maybe Holyfield vs Tyson II). King claimed half the world would be tuning in ie peasants in rural China and India would be piled on each other watching the fight. Then a reporter pointed out that the broadcast rights were given away to these two countries. That put a pin the hot air baloon.....Don Wassall said:<div> </div>Europe said:I would say Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi or Beckham are more famous. Soccer is the most popular sport. The English National team is actually the favorite team in China of all places. There are 500,000 people in South Korea with a Manchester United credit card. I think it is just American bias. When teams like Man United go to Asia, they have crowds at the airport waiting to see them.jaxvid said:A 'roids scandal would kill his reputation. All of the wins go out the book at that point. Him and Nickalaus become like Bonds and Ruth. Right now his troubles are not golf related. PED's would make it all about golf. On another item, all of the stuff I read about Woods is how famous he is and how he is the worlds most recognizable athlete. Is that true? Isn't that just american bias? Other then the English countries of the world and some high income asian lands who the heck else cares about golf? I've been to Europe and nobody much plays it there, I can't believe in the rest of the third world there are a whole lot of natives scheduling tee times. Like everything black and american, I think his "fame" is overrated.Bart said:Your post reminds me of some thoughts I had recently. We've discussed Tiger's possible use of steroids or PED's.I don't think his sexual escapades will diminish his standing in the eyes of DWF's. However, if it can be demonstrated that he indeed was roided out - his legacy would take a big hit. Woods has been more careless than I would have suspected. So, I would not rule out the possibility of a Jose Canseco tell all type of book describing injections in the back side.jaxvid said:On Jim Rome's radio show today he was disucssing a comment from Victor Comte (Balco-steroids) wondering how Tiger put on 50 lbs. of muscle so quickly and why the hyper sex drive. Nice that someone is noticing something that CF (esp. Don) noticed years ago!Written somewhere down the line by a jilted whore or perhaps his wife if she turns on him. Just sayin.
<div>The NFL used to boast that the Super Bowl had a worldwide audience of over 1 billion, until someone in the corporate media pointed out a few years ago that the audience outside of the U.S. is miniscule, consisting mainly of ex-pats, servicemen, etc. Now one rarely hears that claim. Typical American boastfulness and hubris. </div>

<div>Woods undoubtedly is one of the best known athletes internationally, because the U.S. Empire exports its bread and circuses around the world to often eager audiences. But that has everything to do with Woods being, alternatively, black and also the perfect example of the shining Tan Everyman the Empire wants the world to be populated by, except of course for the elite. If this was Jack Nicklaus's era, he wouldn't have one-tenth of the international recognition that Woods has.</div>

Exclusive: Rudolph Giuliani to Tiger Woods: "Hang In There"
Rudolph Giuliani -- who is no stranger to an extramarital affair scandal -- has a message for philandering golfer Tiger Woods.
"Hang in there," he told Usmagazine.com Tuesday at the NYC premiere of Nine.
In 2000, Giuliani's 16-year marriage to Donna Hanover ended very publicly with allegations of two affairs -- one with a former aide, Christyne Lategano, and a second with drug company executive Judith Nathan, whom he later went on to wed.
"He's going through a tough period," Giuliani, 65, told Us of Woods, 33. I know him and at an early stage in my son's career, he was very kind and nice to him. So I know what a nice man Tiger really is, particularly with children. He was extraordinarily generous to my son and my son played golf with him."
About eight years ago, when Giuliani's son Andrew golfed with Woods (father to Sam, 2, and Charlie, 10 months), "Woods showed him how to play and wrote him notes afterwards," the former NYC mayor told Us.
Added Giuliani, "He has a big heart for children. He's a very, very fine man. And people should know the way he treats children." Giuliani told Us his heart goes out the entire Woods family. "We know he's going to get through it," Giuliani told Us.
DixieDestroyer said:Thrashen, good rant on that verminous 9/11 profiteer/Globalist pawn/NeoCON "Ghouliani"!Yeh, "a very, very fine man" cheats on his spouse/mother of his children at all, much less with whores of all sorts. "Ghouliani" is a grade A shyster & festering piece of mule squeeze!
**Supposedly the race-traitor Elin is going to pass on the millions (to stay with "Cheatah") & divorce the philandering caste "god".
Race Traitor/Quasi-Mudshark Elin to Divorce "Cheatah"
I love how the serial adulterer doesn't know who the father of her child. If the kid doesn't look "Cablanasian" I suspect Tiger isn't the father...WASP said:Ian Baker Finch, CBS Golf Analyst: 'One Word About Tiger, I Will Get Fired'
Ian Baker Finch, the former British Open champion who joined CBS Sports as a golf analyst in 2007, has suggested that he is under network orders not to speak about the Tiger Woods scandal.
"Mate, if I say one word about Tiger I will get fired," the Sydney Morning Hearld quotes Baker-Finch as saying before playing in an Australian golf tournament Monday.
The Australian newspaper says that Baker-Finch "has been gagged by the US network from talking about Tiger Woods' dramatic fall from grace."
Tiger Woods: Divorce Looms for 'Athlete of the Decade'
A source close to Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, told ABC News.com Wednesday that a "divorce is 100 percent on."
Nordegren, a 29-year-old former model, was recently photographed without her wedding ring.
"It would not appear that Elin Nordegren is going to be standing by her man," Kate Coyne, senior editor at People Magazine, told "Good Morning America." "Sources have told us that Elin has told us this marriage is over and she is looking to divorce."
According to Coyne, Nordegren is "shopping around" for a divorce attorney. People Magazine reported Nordegren would be going to Sweden soon to get out of the media glare.
"She's not rushing to divorce, however," the source told ABCNews.com. "She's going to take her sweet time. She wants all the dirty laundry to be out on the table before she signs anything."
FEDS EYE TIGER $EX PROBE
In a potentially devastating development for Tiger Woods, his growing sex scandal and hush money payoffs have caught the attention of the FBI and IRS.
A top source in Washington, D.C., divulged that in mid-December "discussions were underway" involving those two government agencies about whether to launch a federal probe of the billionaire golfer.
"They haven't pulled the trigger yet, but they smell blood in the water," the source told The ENQUIRER.
"Their interest was heightened when they heard reports suggesting that Tiger may have been paying for high-class call girls.
"It had already come out that Tiger's company may have paid for the travel of at least one of his girlfriends for a recent hookup in Australia. If Tiger is using company money to do it - and if illegal activity such as prostitution is taking place - then they're going to come down on him."
...
Rachel's trip to see the golfer in Australia in early November was allegedly paid for by Byron Bell, president of Tiger Woods Design, according to published reports.
Bell has also been involved with the nonprofit Tiger Woods Foundation, which supports 100 charities.
Tiger's dealings with Bell could raise many new questions about potential illegal activities.
"You can't use charitable, tax deductible money for your own private purposes," said Craig Silverman, a former Colorado prosecutor. "It's also legally problematic if you use non-charitable corporate money for personal sexual adventures."
...
And the transport of escorts over state lines may violate an aspect of the RICO statutes - the willingness to commit an illegal offense by traveling interstate to engage in such illicit activities.
Woods wired regular payments to girlfriends
Despite claims that Tiger Woods was cheap when it came to spending money on the women with whom he had relationships, some did benefit financially and continue to do so.
According to several women who were involved with the golfer, Woods wired money to them on a monthly basis. The dollar amounts they cite range from $5,000 to $10,000 per month, and there's talk among those women that someone out there might be getting as much as $20,000 per month.
"The money comes via a wire transfer,"Â said one woman. "There's no contract about it, there's no discussion about what it's for, but it's implied that it's in exchange for keeping quiet about his affair."Â
According to that same woman, Woods continued to be in touch in the days following his Thanksgiving night car accident. "Elin took his cell phone away, so he had to call from his land line at home,"Â said one. "He hasn't called in at least a week though."Â
Source: Tiger and Mistress Rachel Uchitel "Are Not Over"
Behind the scenes, however, alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel is getting a slightly different message. The very first woman publicly connected to the married golfer has confided in friends that Woods remains in contact with her to this day. "They are not over," a Uchitel source insists in the new issue of Us Weekly.
The source reports that Uchitel very recently admitted that "Tiger was texting her, trying to find time to get together again. He wasn't even fazed!"
Uchitel sources also explain why the 34 year-old event organizer continues to deny the affair: Woods paid her $3 million to stay quiet. But don't mistake Woods' payoff for a sendoff. Even after the monetary exchange, "Rachel said he told her he was going to leave his wife for her, that he needed to be with her," the source tells Us.
So it seems. Although Uchitel was "disgusted" by reports of 13 other women (besides his wife) allegedly involved with her man, the Manhattanite coincidentally showed up Dec. 14 in West Palm Beach, Fla. -- within spitting distance of Woods' $22 million yacht, Privacy.
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEWS: Tiger Woods Offered To Buy House For Porn Star Mistress, Her Family Reveals
Tiger Woods offered to buy a house for his porn star mistress Joslyn James, her sister told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.
Her father is also speaking out and said Tiger flew James all over the country during their affair.
James, whose real name is Veronica Siwik, is wanted by the state of Washington for non-payment of child support, an exclusive broken by RadarOnline.com previously.
...
Now her sister Samantha Siwik has revealed to RadarOnline.com that Joslyn told her Tiger said he would buy her a house. Her comments add to growing reports that Tiger paid some of his mistresses with money or gifts.
"She told me once that Tiger Woods was going to buy her a house in Las Vegas and that she had seen him many times," Samantha said about her sister. "I believe that my sister took advantage of him because I know that she is that kind of person â€" she only thinks about herself.
"It would not have bothered her that he was married she would wanted to get all that she could from him."Â
Siwik's father, Charles Siwik, has told a newspaper that he knew about his daughter's affair with Tiger when she lived in Las Vegas. "He used to fly her all over the country," he said.
...
Siwik's father told New York's Leader-Herald newspaper that the lifestyle his daughter was leading while hooking up with Tiger was just too much for him. "It saddens me, but she's 32 years old. I can't do anything about it. It's up to her to straighten her act out," he said. Charles Siwik hasn't spoken to his daughter in three years, he admits.
Tiger Woods -- No Stranger to Keeping Secrets
Tiger Woods had crisis managers bail him out of sticky situations with women long before Rachel Uchitel became a household name -- sources tell TMZ.
Several years before Tiger Woods married Elin Nordegren, his lawyers and PR firm got him out of a messy situation over an Orlando woman who hooked up with the golfer.
We're told Tiger had met a wienertail waitress at an Orlando bar and the two drove off together. They pulled over and stopped on the side of a remote road. A cop car drove by and the officer became suspicious and approached the vehicle. We're told there was an exchange between the officer and Tiger. It does not appear anyone was arrested or cited.
One of Tiger's handlers at the time tells TMZ Tiger's PR firm and lawyer were worried the woman might sell her story and they "negotiated a carefully-crafted settlement" with her -- in the end, she never sold or went public with her story.
Sources say there were other situations where Tiger's team resolved messy situations with women that "could reflect negatively on his squeaky-clean image." The reps were especially worried because of the morals clauses in various contracts Tiger had signed.
EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Tiger's Mistress Was A Vegas Stripper
It seems Tiger Woods' fourth mistress, Jamie Jungers, wasn't telling the whole story when she described herself as a "model"Â. RadarOnline.com has learned that the beautiful blonde also worked as a stripper at upscale Las Vegas gentlemen's club Badda Bing.
In an exclusive interview Badda Bing boss Rick Belcastro reveals that Jungers worked for him as a stripper at the club and was working up till around two weeks before she came forward with her story about her affair with Tiger.
"She was a dancer at my club for about two months,"Â Belcastro says. "I fired her because she didn't show up for two weeks. Then I saw her on TV being interviewed about Tiger Woods and she had gained so much weight I didn't recognize her.
...
"You can't take the stripper out of the stripper and if Tiger's wife sees this girl she'll go over the deep end."Â
EXCLUSIVE: Payoff For New Tiger Woods Mistress In The Works
Another one of Tiger Woods' mistresses is negotiating a payoff, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
After Rachel Uchitel cashed in on a deal that is worth from $1 million to $3 million, the next mistress closing in on collecting is Theresa Rogers.
One asset Uchitel and Rogers share is powerhouse Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred. While Allred negotiated Uchitel's deal she will not officially confirm or deny that she represents Rogers.
But sources tell RadarOnline.com that she represents Rogers AND at least one other woman who had a relationship with Tiger.
RadarOnline.com was first to report that Rogers had been sexually involved with Tiger for at least five years, both before and after he got married.
Rogers, who was married at the time to fourth husband and clothing designer Wayne Rogers, told close friends that she hoped to have a baby with the golf champ and was actively trying to get pregnant. Roger's husband was apparently ok with it because he was unable to get her pregnant.
When Rogers did become pregnant, she confided to a close friend that she believed Woods was the father, despite another affair she was having simultaneously with a Serbian basketball player.
According to sources, the baby girl, born sometime between late 2003 and early 2004, was never given a DNA test but looks Caucasian.
...
RadarOnline.com has also learned that Tiger's reps have had a private investigator working feverishly on the case, looking into the backgrounds of many of the women who have claimed affairs with Tiger.
And one source told RadarOnline.com: "Theresa was bragging about her affair with Tiger last week. She wasn't making a secret out of it at a social event."Â
jaxvid said:I don't like that the government is going after him (if in fact they are). This kind of thing is not the business of the govt. C'mon RICO violations, that abortion of a law is bad enough without it being used to zing some guy who was just cheating on his wife. I hate when I read stuff like that, and I hate that people feel it's justified. (HATE!)
If I was Tiger I would cut the losses. Divorce the wife, stop the payments to the whores and tell them go ahead and blab. Then he can go on and be the poon hound he wants to be. Once there is no image to defend then it's not a big deal if he picks up a weiner tail waitress or a porn star or a street hooker for that matter. He should just tell everyone to screw off, if Gilette doesnt want him as a sponser then go sell Trojans. Get back to playing golf, getting high and getting laid. It's more of a "dream" life to more people then that phoney suburban marriage he was doing anyway.
