The United States Is Already Overpopulated

  • Agriculture — Forty percent of all U.S. land area is used as productive land or to support agriculture.8 However, this percentage is declining due to suburban development. Population growth contributes to the annual loss of more than three million acres of farmland.9 Furthermore, agricultural production is increasingly dedicated to fuel production rather than food.
  • Biodiversity — Nationwide, an estimated 6,700 species are at risk of extinction.10 Meanwhile, more than 500 known U.S. species are already extinct.11 The human population has now appropriated half of the continental U.S. for its sustenance, leaving native species with increasingly degraded ecosystems.12
  • Energy Usage — Increasing energy consumption is closely correlated to population growth. From 1974 to 2007 the U.S. population grew 41.7 percent while total energy consumption grew 37.1 percent.13 The growing release of greenhouse gases and fuel spills related to supplying the inputs for increased energy consumption degrade species habitat and contaminate waterways used for fishing and recreation.14
  • Forests — Since European colonization, America’s total forest cover has declined by a third.15 Only about five percent of the country’s original old-growth forests remain, while all other present day forest has been previously logged and is thus younger and less diverse.16
  • Land Use — Developed land in the continental U.S. increased 48 percent from 1982 to 2003.14
  • Sprawl — Across America, cities are challenged to cope with the effects of over-population-induced urban crowding and sprawl. Yet cities and localities have limited ability to slow growth through zoning and planning. Only the federal government can lawfully adopt measures aimed at stabilizing the population by curtailing mass immigration.17
  • Water — The average American uses 550,000 gallons of water annually.18 The decline of water levels has coincided with an increase in water pollution. Nationwide an estimated 40 percent of rivers, 46 percent of lakes, and 50 percent of estuaries are too polluted for fishing and swimming.19,20

The same crazy communist envirowackos who lecture us over using plastic straws and tell us that we must give up all our rights and money to stop global warming have no problem with illegals leaving trails of trash in the wilderness or overpopulation or 3rd world scum having 10 kids each. They are the worst sort of liars and frauds and are truly evil monsters that must never be allowed to enforce their madness upon us.

I call bs on those "statistics."

Agriculture -- 40% of US land is involved in agriculture? Doesn't look like that when I fly. For example the state I live in is still overwhelmingly wilderness. Additionally, a lot of land is arid, or mountainous or otherwise unusable for agriculture.

Biodiversity -- 6,700 species at risk of extinction sounds wildly exaggerated.

Forests -- declined by a third? Yeah, maybe since "European colonization" began, when a forest fire could rage from the east coast to the Mississippi River because the eastern half of the country was nothing but forests. Again, take a cross country plane flight to easily see that there are many billions of trees happily growing.

Land use -- increased by 48%? Where is the evidence to back this up, and all the other wild claims?

Water -- the average American uses about 1,500 gallons of water each day? lolol No wonder the French think we take too many showers.

Ridiculous assertion!

If a landlocked african shithole like Ethiopia can sustain 100 million people(granted, they live on white gibs to an extent),then USA can easily take care of 400 million.

I thought your claim that Ethiopia has 100 million people was way too many. Then I looked on Wikipedia, which said it does in fact have 102 million, which was the 2016 estimate. The 2007 census was only 73 million! WTF?!?! That is truly astounding.

What would it be,what would the population of Africa be, if Africa wasn't supported by America and Europe?

But what is the quality of life like in Ethiopia and other overpopulated countries?

People who have been to third world countries say the horrible stink in those places is something they never forget afterwards.

I see no evidence of overpopulation in the USA. In fact, the official policy is free housing and free food for every bastard child. The corporatocracy needs more useless eaters to consume their garbage.

It's hard to say, in 1900 their population was around 100 million but that was after centuries of colonization. So it would probably be much less than 100 million and possibly even zero. Who knows, a disease outbreak or a couple of bad droughts and maybe they would have gone extinct.

They have a low quality of life because they're black. You could have the least densely populated country in the world and place it in the most fertile land and if the inhabitants are black they're still going to have a low quality of life. Many European countries have way higher population densities than the US and they enjoy a high quality of life.

That's what I love about Nevada, besides the climate - lots of room, not densely populated. Most of the land in Nevada is arid and not suitable for farming, that's why it's not used.

I'd say far more than 40% of arable land in the US is used for farming or urban sprawl, more like 90%.

I've driven through Indiana, Iowa and Illinois, and there's nothing but cities, towns and farmland. New Jersey is has little but towns and villages. Throughout the USA, only land that's too arid, too rocky, too sandy, too mountainous, or too cold and snowbound (like northern Maine and Michigan and of course Alaska) isn't currently used.

The limited temperate parts of Canada are likewise overpopulated now. Southern Ontario and southwestern BC are full of Asians now with many millions crowded into the small areas that have a temperate climate. Not much in our Maritimes, the East Coast fishing stocks have for long been depleted due to overfishing. This area has an unpleasant cool, snowy climate and has very little arable land (except for tiny, cool-but-fertile PEI).

Twenty-five years ago, the Southern Okanagan of BC used to be like a paradise for me to visit, but now it's become overpopulated too, with many rude and arrogant South Asian drivers on the roads.

Of course, in Canada we have our vast, thinly populated boreal forest, but it can't be farmed because of permafrost and few people want to live in areas with 8 months of winter.

Canada was just right when I was growing up at 20 to 25 million, nearly all along the temperate southern fringe. Now it's overpopulated and not clean like it used to be (South Asians seem to have no sense of the value of a clean environment, they throw their garbage everywhere).

These are the types of endless double standards that illuminate anyone with a working brain that these Communist scumbuckets have to be purged from every area of our nation. That, is what is a matter of whether we can "survive" or not.

There is no other alternative if they don't fully repent, which is very unlikely.

CM what part of the South Okanagan are you referring to? Osoyoos, Oliver?
From Vernon to Osoyoos.

Far more traffic now, there's many rude aggressive South Asian truckers. I used to enjoy driving in the area, because people were polite on the roads, like where I grew up.

Kelowna used to be a small city - now it's big, with LOTS of South Asians. Penticton used to be a nice, small, friendly place and close to 100% White, except for a few people from the Indian reserves coming in. Now it's much bigger and is gradually becoming multi-ethnic. Even tiny Okanagan Falls has quite a few South Asians now.

When I stop at service stations in Princeton, Vernon, Osoyoos, Penticton, etc now they seem to be all owned by South Asians.

Still predominantly white people in some of the outlying smaller towns like Salmon Arm though, last time I was there.

I’d love to move out West to a far less populated state/area like AK, WY, ID, MT, NV or northern Arizona. It’s a (pipe) dream of mine to build a “SHTF ready” compound in the middle of a few hundred acres (in the least populated area of the Rockies or Alaska). :)

There are a lot of beautiful areas in Washington once you get east of the mountains. It's common here to say you either live in western Washington or eastern Washington. The eastern side has more of a 4 seasons type of feel. You get a bit more extreme cold and heat than the west side but nothing that crazy. The summers are beautiful with lot's of rivers and countryside. There are a few areas with large hispanic populations and of course the gang and crime issues that come with that, but outside of those areas it's really a nice place to live. I may end up looking into it once retirement age gets closer.

I live in sh!thole New England right now - just a liberal cesspool. I wouldn't mind moving to Pennsylvania - their are a lot of beautiful expansive forests throughout the state. Just a matter of being able to continue my career and provide for my family as well as living far enough away from bigger cities.

I agree with you, Charles. There are too damn many people in the world and this country. What skeptics miss is how many horror headlines every day are a direct factor of overpopulation.

The next sneer they throw is "well if you think there are too many people, why don't you set an example and off yourself nyah nyah nyah?" -- a false dichotomy worth of any gliberal. Food for thought that will apparently impress nobody here:

http://vhemt.org/

As a result of reading our own sites and pubns and simply studying humanity, I've decided we can only be some lesser god's failed science project. Humanity will never get it right, it's mostly atrocious through history, it's hell on the environment, and among the most deeply vicious species on earth. So it might as well quit.

Voilà, a post for everybody in CF to hate -- even you perhaps!

Nelson,

Someone might say, "Get a life" but it's somewhat obvious from that absurd link and your post that you don't want one. I hope I am wrong about you, as I see you are fairly new here.

The Lord Jesus Christ offers the abundant Life spiritually to anyone who desires it and simply accepts it. The offer is there for you as well. The choice is yours...

See, I knew you'd hate it too. Perfect record so far!
