Edge of Darkness is the first film in 7 years to star Mel Gibson. CF members should support this film, as he is one of the few Hollywood elite to portray white men as an heroic and strong people. His latest project in developemnt, which manifested in thought when he was only 15, is a heavily researched Viking piecethat will playin the native Norse language! Needless to say, this Nordicfilm will not be mongralized as evident inthe newest "Conan"film.

Check out the way he dismantles this leftist:

Yes,---though one must greatly regret his upcoming divorce(i hope he comes to his senses about this), and the air of hypocrisy which willaccompany him because of his status as a "traditional" catholic---Mel is still largely a force for good in the world. Edited by: Solomon Kane

He may make some good white films, but I can't stand him shoving religion down everyone's throat. Now, he has his pregnant girlfriend by his side. I am tired of religion as much as I'm tired of him.He pretends he's better than everyone else. He's not.

Europe, I understand your disdain for hypocrisy, but Mel Gibson isn't forcing religion down anyone's throat. Neither you or I have to watch his films. Now if you want someone to agree with you that US public schools are forcing secular humanism down children's throats, I'll be the first to step up. Of course, there are non-public school options which are available. Personally, I recommend homeschooling.

Agreed on all that above, Reb! Braveheart, Patriot and Passion of Christ are some of the best movies ever made. I will be seeing the "Edge of Darkness" Tuesday night along with a few friends. Edited by: guest301

The man's personal lifeaside, he createsthoroughly researched films - Apocalyptotransported us to Mayan culture, contrasting sharply with the fairy tale of the "Noble Savage." And now he will be directing and producing a film about the great Viking Warriors. For a people that Holly wood has always portrayed as barbaric, beer guzzling buffoons, I can't think of any one director/writer that would be better suited tocapture the essence of Viking culture: the legendary strength of the "berserkers," their expertise in seanavigation, and the wonderful images of the Nordic religious rituals to name but a few.

Mel Gibson was one of the best but his fawning apology and then throwing his father under the bus after he made some drunken comments about jews was a horrible example of his "real life" courage. Sure he admires and portrays brave men but he is not one. Too bad. Better then the rest but that's not saying much.

One could say that apology, fawning as it may have been, saved his career and allowed him to make movies like the upcoming Viking film.

Alpha, I agree and am looking forward to the Viking movie. Vikings are a great symbol of the adventuresome and heroic spirit of Western man.

Saved his career? Bah, he's a millionaire and would never have to work again anyway. Was Braveheart worried about his "career"?

His spology:
"There is no excuse for anyone who thinks or expresses any kind of anti-Semitic remark. I want to apologize specifically to everyone in the Jewish community for the vitriolic and harmful words that I said to a law enforcement officer the night I was arrested on a DUI charge"¦.Please know from my heart that I am not an anti-Semite. I am not a bigot. Hatred of any kind goes against my faith. I'm not just asking for forgiveness. I would like to take it one step further, and meet with leaders in the Jewish community, with whom I can have a one-on-one discussion to discern the appropriate path for healing."Â￾

and a good comment from don's link:

"But of course he did grovel, even if he is no longer doing it. And what about Apocalypto? What the hell was that? Not exactly an affirmation of higher Western culture. Then he divorces a woman who bore him seven children and takes up with an ugly Russian skank?

This board is delusional if it sees Gibson as some anti-Judaic hero, and it's quite disappointing to see it so celebrity struck like the rest of the American booboisie. Gibson is just a Hollywood pragmatist and hedonist."

jaxvid, count me among the non-delusional. I have no faith in anyone in Hollywood. If and when someone in Hollywood tells the truth (either in word or film) about the vast negative jewish influence on the media and White culture and refuses to apologize for it, then I might change my mind.

I'm with Jax and Reb on this, too. Hollywood is just as bad or worse as everything else the Tribe controls.

Ditto here. "Hollyweird" is hands down controlled by the Tribe (just as the Central Banking Cartel, Madison Avenue & the rest of the "Sheepletainment" industry). While, I liked "Braveheart", "The Passion of Christ" and "Road Warrior", I've never been a wholesale fan of Gibson (I'm more a fan of his Dad, Hutton). He (financially) didn't need to bow down & kiss the Tribe's @$$, and I personally disagree with divorce (unless a spouse has committed adultery). I rarely go to the movies these days (usually just for/with my kids once in a blue moon), but I might see this upcoming Viking film IF it's pro-White & not chalk-full of PC/BS.

"Conspiracy Theory" was another interesting Gibson film. It's one of those ones I usually end up watching if I find it while channel surfing. He and Julia Roberts are very good in it.

For "Braveheart" and "The Patriot" Mel deserves lots of credit. We talk about the deliberate lack of strong White role models but he's defied that with some terrific movies. He's carved out a strong niche for himself in the Cultural Marxist stronghold of strongholds. He knows the score and everyone knows he knows yet he has persevered and thrived as an actor and director who has upheld some of the great values and heroes of our race. It would be great if he would help fund the patriotic opposition in this country, which has a few pennies to work with for every billion dollarsthe power structure has, but other than that I don't know what his critics want from him. I like Gibson a lot. He has flaws but he is a strong white male who knows who controls America. Maybe if we combined Alex Jones with Don Wassall and add a smidgen Glenn Beck and Mel Gibson we'd have the perfect person people on this forum are looking for. Hard to do.

"Conspiracy Theory" is a favorite of mine, also. The chemistry between Mel's character and the Julia Roberts character makes the film interesting.

How many people today would know who William Wallace was if not for Mel Gibson? How many films like "The Patriot" have there been in the last 40 years?

Gibson also deserves credit for starring in "We Were Soldiers," about the battle in the Ia Drang Valley in 1965. One of the first successes of the Cultural Marxists was the demonization of the American soldiers of the Vietnam War. Even if you didn't approve of the war (I didn't), it was white American Vietnam vets who have been bashed in popular culture ever since. A staple of the cop shows of the 70's was the criminal (white) Vietnam veteran.

I recall David Denby, film critic for The New Yorker, criticized "We Were Soldiers" for "taking the war away from the writers and artists." The film is filled with heroic white men, led by Mel Gibson as Hal Moore, the battalion commander.

I don't think anyone on the board is star struck with Mel Gibson. Anyone here have a subscription to People Magazine? How about US Weekly? CF posters are not the type to live in a fantasyworld created by the film and television conglomerate. But we are struck though, every second. Struck with and affected by what the "high priests" of the media and entertainment industry have to say about ourculture, our history, and our race. And when someone in Hollywood opposes that heavy current, is in some accord with our views, and produces films from that heroic ideal, I think we should give our support.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

On his pandering: I too was repulsed by this; it was a direct submission to the vitriolic power of political correctness. But whatever prompted Mel to grovel has surely been repressed; just look at the way he attacked theleftist reporter highlighted above when questioned about whether he should return to film.

If others in power withconservative views cangravitatetowards that center â€" a center where one speaks from the truths of his blood instead from the lies of his indoctrination- then perhaps we can all have the courage to speak against the tyranny of political correctness. Kevin MacDonald is one such man who speaks from that center; maybe Mel can too.

Star Wars, Sport historian and Alpha male, 100% spot on posts. The apology was over the top but millionaire or no millionaire it obviously saved his career and allowed him to stay in a position where he could make these movies most of us like so much. Mel doesn't like the game but he knows how to play it. I Don't like the fact that he left his wife and kids, it's certainly a blight on his character but 50% of marriages end in divorce and so how many of us can truly throw a stone. I like him for what he is and what he has done and expect and require no more than that.Edited by: guest301

Only about 40% of marriages are ending in divorce, 301. That 50% number often thrown out by the media was a little higher than the actual numbers during the peak divorce years of the late 70s/early 80s. It has declined since then. The biggest problem for marriage is the increasing trend of cohabitation. Marriages are declining as a result.

Glad to know that the divorce percentages are lower than reported, kinda like when the MSM claimed that 10% of the population was gay when it has always been at 2% and holding. 40% is still a high rate of divorce though and your comment on cohabitation is spot on, unfortunately there is little to no public shame for shacking up anymore, in fact the goverment encourages it through it's tax, Social Security and entitlement program rules and policies.

Don't I know there is no shame in shacking up now, even amongst "Christians." One long time acquaintance of mine (I won't call him a true friend) is a professing Christian. He has recently decided to get an apartment with his fiance who is also a professing Christian. I told him that cohabiting isn't right for a Christian and that he knew better, even if they aren't having sex. I warned them of their need to repent and reminded them of God's judgment for living openly in sin. He cut me off and said I was being judgmental and told me never to talk to him again. His fiance did the same thing to my wife, whom she has known for years. You can't call sin a sin anymore, I don't care how close you think you are to someone, even if they claim to be a follower of Jesus. Now, things have reversed so severely that it is more acceptable for him and his fiance to go around telling lies about the whole situation than it is for us to be real friends and show some tough love to them.

I can cut Mel some slack for having to do some damage control.

But I will not forgive him if he casts Leonardo DiCaprio as a Viking leader.

All you can do is speak the truth Reb, you can't control the outcome. I admire what you did though, few Christians ever want to make a righteous judgement of a fellow believer because so many Christians have misinterpeted scriptures on judging so badly that they think it's wrong to make any kind of judgement at all. Just plain stupid.

Hock, how about Russell Crowe instead of DiCaprio? As long as it's not Johnny Depp!

edit..Maybe Gerard Butler who played the king in the movie 300.Edited by: guest301
