Hall of Famer
Hoping Tom will cement his legacy as the greatest qb of all time!!!
Gronk - After his first preseason game, I knew this guy was going to be something special. Aaron has to step up!
Looking for the "half jew" Julian Edelman to become the first NFL player in Superbowl history to complete a pass, attempt a rush, catch, intercept a pass, and return a kickoff for a touchdown. If it's a low scoring game, he has the potential to become this year's MVP. The Pats will utilize him more since Underwood has been released.
Expecting a nice game from Danny. He provides hope for short white guys like me.
Wes Welker - A couple of weeks ago, I called in to a local Miami sports radio show called "The Jorge Sedano" show and he couldn't use any facts nor provide a logical response to counter my argument. Jorge Sedano, like many drunk fans/critics, kept stating that Devon Bess can be as good as Wes Welker, if Devon Bess had Tom Brady as his quarterback.
Here's a transcript of the call :
Me: Good morning Jorge,
First time caller....
With regards to wes welker....
I just feel like he does not get any respect.
Jorge: Hold on wait a minute, I believe he gets more respect than he should.
Me: Wait, does everyone keep forgetting about the year he had in 2009 with Matt Cassel as his starting quarterback?
123 receptions and over 1,300 receiving yards in just 14 games.
You can't compare Welker to Devon Bess.
Welker is quicker, faster, and blocks better. Welker ran a 4.5, Devon bess ran a high 4.6 which by the way, it's the same 40 time that Gronkowski runs and he's 6-6 packing 265, overall Welker is a better football player, end of discussion!!
Jorge: No disrespect, but I rather take a NFL Network analyst's opinion over yours.
call disconnected......................
Don't get me wrong... Devon is a potential 1k receiver, but he will never put the numbers that Wes Welker has put up nor ever lead the league for 15 straight weeks in passing yards/receptions.
LET'S GO PATS!!!!!
Welcome to the boards Sapient. I have to disagree with you on that on Brady being the greatest qb of all time. Best of all time is Steve Young in my opinion, then Peyton Manning, with Brady a close third.
In regards to Gronk, if he doesn't play or is playing less than 100%, Hernandez really needs to step it up for the Patriots to have a chance. Gronkowski is the one who catches all the touchdowns and if he can't go it today because of the high ankle sprain someone else has to.
