Some thoughts. FootballDad you are not alone. Going into the game I was leaning towards the Chiefs ( for some reason I am the only one here who predicted a Chiefs victory) but as the game played I was openly rooting for them. More on that later. The game was off kilter though and Mahomes was pretty awful until the last ten minutes or so.

Shakira has a "Latina" reputation because she grew up in Columbia. She is white however. Her mother has one half of her roots in Northeast Spain and the other half is Italian. Her dad is Lebanese. Love her or hate her ( I get the impression nobody likes her here) one has to admit that broad can dance. I guess they loosened the "sexual" rules a touch since that incident with Janet Jackson where a tit was flashed for half a second and the world almost ended. Shakira was simulating a sex act with some stage humping. I don't take half time entertainment seriously though and I can't remember anyone hitting it out of the ballpark.

We have entered a new era where all black or nearly all black defenses will succumb to lousy play. All through these playoffs that has been proven over and over again. The Ravens and Titans defenses collapsed in the worst possible ways and the nearly all black Patriots turned into chumps as well. What do these defenses have in common? The media praised them to high heaven. Not a peep about their crap play.

Lets play contrasts. Late in the game 49ers FS Jimmie Ward took the same bad angle as his LB which resulted in a long TD run by RB Damien Williams which sealed the game. Ward looked like a fool earlier on too in that key long flutter ball that hung up in the air for WR Hill but Ward was so turned around he couldn't recover despite the fact the ball was in the air for an hour. Need I mention the other 49er DB who barreled into Kelce in the end zone like some lost in space zombie.

The same RB/ Ward sideline play presented itself for FS Sorensen earlier in the game. What happened? Protecting against the deep sideline play like any good S Sorensen nailed the 49ers RB out of bounds. Since it wasn't one of those touch and tickle pushes the RB took affront whereas Sorensen went up right next to him. The message? "Listen pal you are going to get hit if it is up to me and get used to it".

There was one player playing actual defense for the 49ers yesterday and that was DE Nick Sosa. I believe he had up to 10 QB pressures but because his brain dead DL teammates didn't properly play the outside contain lanes Mahomes was allowed to scramble away most of the time. The rest of the 49ers defense was pretty bad as they collapsed in the 4th quarter. Yet again all we heard was how good they were. That would be a no.

Meanwhile Sorensen had so many responsibilities it was mind boggling. He lined up as a the deep free safety but also as a LB from time to time. He was lined up everywhere and took the main responsibility of covering the only dangerous receiver the 49ers have in TE Kittle. Jimmy G has taken the predictable media hits but no one dare mention that the 49ers all black receiver fleet are a mediocre bunch at best and I am being kind. They kind of stink. Low level talents.

Sorensen, the first starting white DB to play for a winning SB team since John Lynch was with the Bucs in 2003, was one of the key reasons Kittle was rendered relatively quiet. He ended up with 6 tackles but while he didn't make the kind of splash plays he made in the two previous playoff games he continued his solid and cerebral play. The type of defensive play that lead to victory. No two ways about it.

Meanwhile back up LB Ben Niemann made one of the biggest plays in the game knocking Jimmy G down and screwing up a key late third down play. The live legged Niemann was active when he was inserted on many of the late passing plays and made a crunching tackle on special teams as well. On several plays late Niemann and Sorensen were lined up side to side and what a sight for sore eyes. And they came through. That's my theme. Load up your team with white defenders and positive things will happen.

Oddly all the kickers made their kicks and apart from a muffed PR fumble by the 49ers which they recovered the special team defenses of both teams didn't allow squat. Usually in a SB something screwy happens on special teams.

I felt especially happy for TE Travis Kelce. One of the best TEs I have ever witnessed play. And one of my favorite NFL players. He has much as anyone else including their media hero QB is the main reason the Chiefs have been so damn good for several years now. Several years ago the Chiefs and QB Alex Smith were well on their way of destroying the Titans in the playoffs because Kelce was on pace for maybe a 300 yard day. Then he got skulled out of the game and the Chiefs eventually lost despite a heroic effort from then back up S Sorensen. I was hoping for bigger stat games from Kelce ( who is the main focus of defenses) and Kittle but the result of the game left me feeling OK.

To me the elephant in the NFL room is that teams are not loading up on more white defensive talent. The whole overblown black QB media fixation conveniently avoids the subject of why there are so few white players on defense in the NFL. When it is obvious that drafting, developing and playing white D talent will substantially improve your team.

The basketball on grass crap played in the Big 12 and many other college conferences that results in clueless touch and tickle all black defensive play is killing the concept of solid fundamental defensive play. The media of course is completely silent on this subject preferring to worship black offensive heroes and praise the workout numbers of useless black defenders.

One of my key measuring sticks I have been using the past several years is if teams draft white defenders or not. Those that stay away will remain on my screw you list for the most part. Or they better make up for it by drafting say white wide receivers.

Poor Garappalo. That fourth down desperation two hander was Yaro Yepremian like. But you gotta try what choice did he have.

Poor DB play in the 4th killed the niners. Sherman got beat.

Another guy got turned around on that 4th and long.

And that P.I. in the end zone was pathetic. Turn your damn head around and at least give the impression you're playing the ball.

Somehow ended up watching the game with people who didn't know much about football.

The BBQ ribs were good though.

Kyle Shanahan is taking a lot of heat. However, Mike Lombardi made some good points: prior to the Super Bowl, Lombardi noted that KC would not be able to block SF’s d-line without holding. That if the refs don’t call holding on the Chiefs, they can give them the trophy. 42 passes and zero offensive holding calls. Offensive holding can be called whenever, or strategically on big plays, such as 3rd down conversions. Also, the SF secondary had epic fails in the 4th quarter, giving up the long pass to Hill on 3 and 15; Sherman getting burned by Watkins on 3rd amen 10; and, and the end zone pass interference with Kelce.

I just had the opportunity to watch the game closely last night, as during the actual game I had other emergencies come up.

Interestingly, I don't remember seeing an offensive holding call the entire game on either team. The Chiefs all-white offensive line is one of the best in the league at avoiding penalties, so that didn't really surprise me all that much.

Shadowlight is dead on with his defensive observations. The only player on the 49ers defense that was making a consistent impact was Nick Bosa. I don't care what color you are, blocking him is a near impossibility. The other 3 "all world" D-lineman only made plays after Bosa had already blown things up. Daniel Sorensen was all over the field for the Chiefs. Sorensen and Tyrann Mathieu make a deadly combo at safety. Ben Niemann was out on the field a LOT, especially in the 4th quarter as he is the primary coverage LB for the Chiefs. I watched his hit on Garoppolo in slo-mo and it was a perfect form tackle, facemask planted firmly at shoulder-pad level. Jimmy G was wincing not because he was hit "helmet to helmet" like many were whining about, but because his head slammed into the ground after being leveled.

But yeah, seeing the two palefaces on the field was hard to miss because they were blowing things up. I don't think Jimmy G even threw a ball toward whoever was being covered by Niemann. Well, back to my bowl of Mahomes Magic Crunch cereal........ ;)

Because I rooted against S.F. (Rams, Minn, G Bay, ect) most of the season I did not realize how pedestrian their wide receivers are.

Very instructive this. All stinking year long the Patriots theme was this: Tom Brady is half dead and their wonderful nearly all black defense is carrying the team. And every week I heard that the Patriots lack receiver talent. ESPN beat that drum beat to death. Woeful lack of talent were the buzz words. ESPN's Ryan Clark spitted that out with venom and made sure to say he thinks Edelman is a bit of a fraud and scoffed at any HOF talk. Of course once that defense was exposed nobody pointed a finger at them. Blame honky for everything no matter the truth. The Patriots still finished 12-4 and barely got beat in their playoff game despite what the media felt was a talentless WR group.

Listen you bitter prick Clark ( he was on the Pittsburgh defense when Jordy made winning plays in the Super Bowl) if Edelman was black like Antonio Brown you would have heard none of this. Yes the other Pats receivers were slugs but Edelman had a heroic 100-1117-6 stat line despite missing some time and playing with basically a broken rib. Edelman is a superstar but media outlets like ESPN just can't accept that fact.

Meanwhile has any media outlet mentioned the mediocre 49ers receiver core? Hell no. The fact that all world TE George Kittle carried the receiving team shouldn't mask the fact that the 49ers all black WR core is substandard. Blame Jimmy G for everything was the motto after the SB. It reminds me of how silent the media is on crap black DB play. We know the double standard is in place but things are getting so blatantly obvious these days you wonder how long the media can keep this charade up?

Meanwhile all the draft gurus are saying the all black wide receivers for the 2020 draft are the best lot they have ever seen. Which means teams will load up like drunk demented fools snapping up every black WR draft prospect known to man. A few will pan out but I imagine most will be false alarms. This BS act is really getting old.

Deebo Samuel is a genuine talent -- 57 catches for 802 yards and 3 TDs, another 14/159 rushing, including 3 rushing TDs. He's a bit of a beast, much like another rookie who had an even better season, A. J. Brown of the Titans. If he was a White rookie we'd justifiably be thrilled with his first NFL season.

The 49ers' receivers drop off considerably after Samuel and it's a shame Trent Taylor lost an entire season after it looked he was primed to be a very good slot receiver after being tutored by the great Wes Welker, but to have credibility we need to give credit where it's due, as CF has said since Day One -- we respect the fact that many blacks are damn good football players. I expect Samuel to be a star -- but that doesn't cause me to root for White players any less.

I am not penciling in Samuel as a star just yet but if he "gives " the 49ers WR crew legitimacy why doesn't established super star Edelman not give the Patriots WR crew any respect? Samuel is not at Edelman's level and yet the Pats were seen as being completely depleted at that position.

And unlike Edelman Samuel apart from a few trick runs didn't do much in the playoffs and the SB. Edelman on the other hand is one of the greatest playoff players of all time.

My experience is that Edelman is quite respected at this point in his career. It took a long time, but Ryan Clark is hardly representative of the "mainstream" media as a whole. I read article after article recognizing Edelman as the only good receiver on the Patriots this season. Screw Clark, don't listen to him, don't let him get to you. Avoiding ESPN is good for your health. I stay well informed on what the "mainstream media" is saying even while avoiding anti-White, communist media outlets like ESPN.

Good point. ESPN in general was killing the Pats receiving core all year and Clark was just one of many saying the same crap. The problem is the alternative Fox channels etc. are pretty much the same and since I don't get a daily paper anymore always hungry for sports news/talk I reflexively turn on ESPN in the morning. In general I do not like looking things up on the internet as a substitute. And trying to find a viable daily paper these days is murder. And expensive. Have you seen the USA Today lately? Useless. Toilet paper. I live in an area where I can get the NY Post, The Daily News or the NY Times. But the Daily News has disintegrated. The version I get in my area doesn't even have movie reviews anymore. Can you believe that? The Times offers the best tennis commentary among US newspapers but you don't get a good feel on everyday sports with them. The Post has a detailed sports section but they are too local. My local papers the New Haven Register and the Hartford Courant are but shells of themselves now cutting corners on the sports page to the point where I gave up.

So I wasn't exposed to any of the respectful stuff towards Julian this season. Just ESPN stuff.

But for sure it is reaching a true crisis point and I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to change my routine and start weaning myself off the toxic ESPN except for their live events. It appears to me they have only gotten worse in their caste stance now and I need to think long and hard about changing my ways. ESPN is unhealthy in general although some of the guests are tolerable.

I do tune into the MLB station, the NFL network and the NBA channel ( and NHL network at times too) but they bore me after a while.

Sports Illustrated used to be less caste than ESPN and I looked forward to it every week back in the day when it was basically a weekly or close to it but they have been gutted now. I just received my first monthly issue and it was beyond depressing to see how out of place they are now. They have added four "special" issues but they aren't a viable alternative anymore either.

I'll think of something but I should stay away from the ESPN talk shows. I should just watch the morning SportsCenter for news of the day and move on.

I get Google Alerts on the players I follow. That way you get a mix of local and national stuff, and you can completely ignore (bypass) ESPN. I haven't watched Sports Center in at least 25 years, never listen to anti-White "Mike & Mike" and the rest. YouTube can also be helpful, I am more than happy to stay away from the worst of the anti-White crap out there, and of course it's endemic.

Yes those are good stats for a rookie but like DJ Metcalf I believe Samuel is on PEDs ( much like so many black DBs) based on my observations. The NFL has a weak drug testing program compared to other sports. He missed most of his junior year at SC due to an injury and I suspect/predict both of these bulked up thickly muscled rookies will have injury issues cropping up during their playing careers. Neither of them seem awfully quick to me despite their power and speed.

Throughout the playoffs it appeared Samuel struggled to get open. It is early yet and I could be proven wrong but he is not a player I would bank on full bore going forward. Same with Metcalf.

That takes guts to watch ESPN it has sucked since Berman and Jackson hit the air together. But here we are decades later and it is plain as day that ESPN's "talent" has views of sports and athletes biased by their political/social views and they are to be discounted.
