During the Dolphins-Jaguars game, Bob Griese noted that in 1970 there was only one player in the NFL that weighed over 300 pounds, while there are currently 530 players in training camp who are over 300.

Someone else in the booth (Nat Moore?) then immediately made the nonsensical but obligatory statement, "That just goes to show that today's players are bigger, faster and stronger." Uh, no it doesn't. What it shows is that the NFL is filled with fatties, just as obesity in U.S. society has become much more common over the past four decades.

The NFL wants bigger and bigger players. That would be okay if these guys were in shape but we all know they aren't. White center Greg Eslinger came into the league at around 285lbs and was told he needed to bulk up.

Did you all see how fat (the Cardinals) Levi Brown has gotten?

To me, he wasn't really a sumo when he came to the NFL from Penn State, and I think he was listed at 305 or so. Now, on ESPN, he's listed at 324 pounds, but I personally think he's carrying at least 330!

The announcers were shocked that the "heavy" Arizona line was unimpressive and uninspiring! Brandon Keith, Lutui and Levi Brown must be "eating buddies"... a pathetic bunch.

Another good example of a sumo DT that's "just taking up space."

http://espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=8551

He's from the "SEC" - though... I have to admit that I do make a habit of watching some coal-black SEC games (simply to reinforce how grossly-overrated most of them are), and it simply astonishes me how obese so many of these blacks are, not just on the line, but at RB and LB as well.

More Poly worship!

As Oregon State prepares for its 2010 season opener against TCU on Sept. 4, Paea is currently NFLDraftScout.com's No. 2-rated senior defensive tackle and is projected to be a first- or early second-round pick next April. The No. 1-rated defensive tackle on NDS' rankings is North Carolina's Marvin Austin. That could change rather quickly, and Paea could take over the top spot, as Austin faces a possible suspension stemming from an NCAA investigation over improper benefits.

Suspension or no suspension for Austin, there are scouts who believe Paea is the best interior defensive lineman in the country. The numbers that he has produced at OSU over the past two years on the field and in the weight room (550-pound bench press) have one longtime scout raving.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/story/13846531/paea-sticks-around-to-help-beavers-boost-draft-stock

The numbers haven't even been special!! From my observations, the Poly DTs tend to "play harder" than the affletes, but many are still overrated and benefit from the Caste System... Marvin Austin, though, is a scrub with ZERO endurance.

White men are superior.

Kris Jenkins tore his ACL, but it was a "dangers of playing in the trenches injury."

Hopefully, his "hype-train" is permanently derailed now...

Justin Harrell, of Green Bay, tore his ACL.

Jamaal Jackson tore his tricep. I've never liked this sloppy lineman.. A "Jamaal" at Center just sounds unnatural!

Jackson was placed on injured reserve with torn right triceps.
(Updated 9/13/10) STATS LLC
Advice It's a second year of suffering a season-ending injury after Jackson torn his ACL in Week 16 of 2009. He had been healthy before the run of bad luck and will likely be back with the Eagles next year.

Derrick Harvey isa huge first round bust, but of course is replaced by anotherSEC sumo:

Jaguars bench Derrick Harvey

The Jacksonville Jaguars have benched former first-round draft pick Derrick Harvey, sending a strong message to the three-year starter while promoting Jeremy Mincey.

Harvey, the eighth overall pick from Florida in 2008, has started 39 games, including 24 in a row. But his production never matched his potential.

Harvey, the defensive MVP of the 2006 BCS National Championship game, has 126 tackles and just six sacks despite playing every game in his three seasons.

Coach Jack Del Rio gave up two third-round picks and a fourth-rounder to swap first-round selections with Baltimore and draft Harvey. The Ravens, meanwhile, chose franchise quarterback Joe Flacco with the 18th pick.

Mincey, another third-year player from Florida, will start Sunday at Dallas.

Quite a few black rookies have been placed on IR... Jared Odrick (Miami) was placed on IR not too long ago... Brian Price is now on IR: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1244524/brian-price

Price was expected to start for the Bucs this season but couldn't get healthy. Continue to ignore him in IDP Fantasy play for now.
(Updated 11/02/2010).

He's probably even heavier than 303 pounds...

And younger sumo, Red Bryant, was just placed on IR with a knee injury: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/559795/red-bryant

Veteran OT - Cornell Green - was placed on IR: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/135796/cornell-green

With him as a starter, no wonder Buffalo couldn't win...

Green looks like a bloated Orson Welles in black face. Maybe he can get summer playhouse work as Othello....

Fat Albert is out for the season after someone stepped on the superbly conditioned athlete's foot. Weenieworld claims that Smith was "finally beginning to shine"
smiley36.gif
:

Bengals RT Andre Smith's season is in jeopardy after it was discovered that he broke the fifth metatarsal in his left foot in Wednesday's practice. The injury is to the same foot but not the same bone that Smith broke last year. He will undergo surgery, and coach Marvin Lewis suggested that the injury could end his season. It's poor timing for Smith, who was finally beginning to shine after beginning the season out of shape. Early-season starter Dennis Roland will step back in at right tackle.

Andre Smith should thank his blessings for the fact that he constantly keeps getting injured, before the masses catch on to the fact he is horrible.

"Entree" Smith should count his blessings that he was born in this time period of affirmative action style racial pandering which has allowed an obese, lazy, dim negro to become a millionaire. If he had been born 50 years earlier he would have been useless. Not smart enough to hold a white-collar job and too fat for a blue-collar job or athletics. Edited by: Freethinker

Carolina is 1-11 now, that's a bad record... they have a sumo-line that is disgustingly obese, and are definitely "heavier" than what they're listed at.

Travelle Wharton: Started 9 games this season; missed the last 3 games due to injury. Warning: "specimen" is cross-eyed.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/493111/travelle-wharton

Mackenzy Bernadeau: Started 8 out of 12 games. He's a blob from Bentley College.. He's "superior" - YO!!

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1615551/mackenzy-bernadeau

Garry Williams: Started 7 games, and he's at Right Tackle now. Another nothing-special, but "correctly-hued" afflete..

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1675045/garry-williams

An "intimidating" bunch of "athletes."

Nice to see that ultra-sumo Albert Haynesworth has been suspended without pay for the Blackskins remaining 4 games.

Here is something we see all the time with these affletes. If they lose a little weight, they automatically shoot up the draft boards. This particular sumo lost a whopping 12 pounds for the Combine and and now "only"weighs in at 358. Walterfootball gives him credit. Ohh please!

Marcus Cannon, G, TCU

Marcus Cannon played in the 370s this season, so to see him drop his
weight down to 358 was a good sign. Also, Cannon's arms measured in at
34 inches, which is definitely long enough for a guard.
