It was a left hand. Yarde's bodybuilder physique betrayed him. He faded bad in the championship rounds.

Looks like it was a good fight. Excellent win by Khrusher. I would like to see the whole thing. Maybe BSPN will play it later.

Yes the announcers talked about Yarde's physique coming into play late in the fight and after he made his ko effort in the 8th round he was too dead to do anything afterwards and was ko'd by a jab!

Kovalev has a body of the old time boxers, he looks fit and strong but not like a cartoon character like Yarde who was probably on gear for this fight.

A great fight and performance by Kov. He was in serious trouble in the 8th round but weathered the huge storm. Base on skill, heart and experience he was able to overcome and put a courageous Yarde away in the 11th. There is serious talk of Kov vs Canelo. If there is not catchweight or limitations on day of fight weight, Kov should be able to box Canelo and get a relatively easy win.

I don't like the turnaround of this fight an older fighter like Kovalev needs down time to heal and rejuvenate their bodies, Kovalev is essentially having two training camps in a row plus he took a beating in the 8th round. But this is part of the games PEDnelo and his team will pull to get an advantage in their mini-super fight.

If Canelo demanded the November 2 date, and Kov gave in, shame on him. If he is not fully recovered from the Yarde fight, this mistake will be like the first Ward fight. Fighting in the US rather than Russia. If Kov is physically drained within 4 rounds and gets KO'd it all on him.

This is gonna be a great fight and it’s up in the air in my opinion because of all the variables.

Has Kovalev recovered from his war with Yarde?

Will the Kovalev we know and love show up hungry for a fight?

Did Canelo have to cut much weight to make 175?

Will Canelo have enough power to compete at light heavy?

Is Canelo juiced to the gills?

Can Kovalev hurt Canelo, especially seeing how he walked through GGG’s shots without flinching?

This could be fight of the century if Kovalev hurts Canelo early and it turns into a dog fight!!

If Kov is conditioned and fights at a distance using his excellent jab. Its Kov any day and every day. This is if Kov is not shopworn as Canelo thinks he is.

I think you right on point Westside. If his jab is on and he can land enough right hands to get Cinnamon roll from trying to work his body he will be ok. I hope they get a ref who will work an honest fight. They are the ones who dictate how the fight will be fought.

Yes, team PEDnelo think he is "shot" and that's why they are taking this fight, but Kov isn't going to roll over and die as the Yarde fight showed.

Team Tyson thought Holyfield was shot and signed to fight him and Holyfield boxed him to death until he was too tired to aggressively attack. Kovalev probably has a similar strategy and if he wins the fight should play out the same.

This one snuck up on me. Last I heard Canelo was a 4-1 favorite. I don't see it. If that's the case Kov is a very live underdog.

Canelo does have a great chin and body attack. The later the fight goes the more I have to favor the younger guy.

I saw the weigh-in. Kov looks like Kov. Canelo still ripped at 175 lbs.! Not getting that. As I said, if Kov just keeps it at distance and not get tired, its in the bag. When was the last time that Canelo KO'd someone? Almost 3 years ago against 147 lbs, China chinned Khan. This fight is indeed intriguing.

How quickly the boxing community forgets that Canelo lost the first fight to GGG, and at best got a draw in the second fight against a slightly faded GGG. Now he is going against a guy with longer arms who can punch even harder.

Added to that, both Ward fights were scams. These pundits talk like Ward whipped Kovalev twice.

Kovalev just stopped that beast Yarde, and will be punching down at a guy coming in. I don't get this overwhelming consensus for Canelo. I guess they are all going on that idea that Kovalev is a shot fighter and have a tacit understanding that Canelo's steroid cycles will turn him into a legtimate light heavyweight.
