Scottish actor Sean Connery, best known for portraying the first James Bond, has passed away at the age of 90. Personally, I thought he was the best Bond.

Connery was an iconic actor. I agree that he was the best Bond, even though the Bond in the books was English and Connery was Scottish.

Didn’t know he was Scottish. I always liked him as Bond. He seemed to be a sort of masculine ladies man from his era, a type of guy who current society will not allow anymore. RIP

No question about that, Sean Connery was a traditional and unapologetic alpha male, a man's man and a lady's man as well. Easily the best James Bond. Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan were pretty good but Connery emitted raw masculinity befitting an invincible spy. RIP

Connery didn't make Baba Wawa very happy when he said this in an era when women are applauded for being aggressive and violent towards men but God forbid a man even touches a woman:

Connery was a "man's man" for sure. I was reading some about his passing this morning - sounds like he had been fighting dementia for a long time. At least he passed away with dignity, grace and went out on his own terms. Great actor, good man and the original Bond. My favorite movie of his is "The Rock".
