As I can remember this is the first time I disagree with you. When you are trying to play the media's game (as Palin is doing) this is what happens. If She immediately denied it, the media would accuse Her of closet racism. I think She will come out with a denial, but She must handle this issue carefully even if it hurts Her white base. A rushed denial will only get a white sheet pulled down over Her head by the media.

Even then, the stench of possibility will stick to Palin forever, because she doesn't have the aura about her that informs people that such an event is a complete absurdity. In other words, just the fact that people are considering that something like this might have happened tells us something significant about Palin.
And I would be remiss if I didn't point this out, but it was Palin herself who, during the 2008 campaign, made such a big deal about her "sexy interracial marriage" to her Eskimo* husband in order to prove her "street cred". Her behavior is not and has never been consistent with what I consider to be a proud and racially aware white woman.

Amongst the aforementioned you are certainly correct.
