Ironically they drafted Isiah Simmons to replace him in the 1st round. Simmons is a big time hype job right now with all the DWFs clamoring over him. Reddick's stats are pretty damn bad considering he was the 13th overall pick. His college stats and production were also not dominant. A white LB with his stats would of been drafted much lower - just look at where his teammate Tyler Matakevich got selected in 2016.

Reddick has impressively played in all 48 possible games with Arizona since joining the team as the No. 13 overall pick in the 2017 draft. Envisioned as an Isaiah Simmons-type of hybrid player, 25-year-old Reddick most recently logged 472 snaps as an inside linebacker and 137 along the edges as an outside linebacker in 2019. Simmons' arrival allows for a number of intriguing defensive packages this upcoming year if DC Vance Joseph is willing to be progressive before Reddick becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2021. The latter will make $4.28 million in what will likely be his final season with the Cards.

A lobotomy of the 2017 draft ( and others) easily exposes the rank negligence and racial accommodation that accompanies NFL drafts. The fact is that the NFL combine is used as a major tool in this ongoing tale of lies and deceit. And like many I see the lack of real defensive play in the NFL as a result of bending over backwards to fill up defensive rosters with as many black players as humanly possible.

Witness H Reddick. Let me just preface this with sure it is possible Isiah Simmons could end up as an underwhelming player. Jabrill Peppers was another one touted for his versatility but at least he dropped in the draft. Peppers like Kyler Murray did a great job of selling himself but a few teams saw through it but alas all it took was one sucker team to draft him in the first round. Hell if Murray or Peppers fall out of football there are plenty of used car lots that would hire them in a minute.

The two LSU defenders taken in the first round are suspicious to me. You don't draft 14 players from a single school without realizing many of them are being over drafted. Chaisson is a DE with 6'4" 250 pounds size but is seen as a linebacker. He decided not to run the 40 and I suspect he was carrying the weight to prove he was a legitimate pass rusher. And his 40 would have suffered.

Another red flag player is his teammate Patrick Queen. At 6'1" 227 pounds he is simply a smaller man than Tanner Muse. Yet he is seen as some linebacker terror who can rush the passer and play inside as well. With his real safety frame? Like Reddick, Queen wowed the salivating media with a 4.5 40 but naturally he skipped the 20 yard shuttle probably avoiding exposure. Is he yet another what I would call "steroid up" safety pretending to be an NFL type linebacker just like Reddick?

Reddick like Queen was an instant media hero with his combine 4.52 40. Predictably his 20 yard shuttle time was poor. This again points to another "steroid up" player who at 6'1" 237 pounds is a player with a safety frame bulked up. What is the effect of this bulking up? Simple a 4.52 time for a linebacker reads a lot better than it would for a straight up safety. And black players know that a fast 40 time will get the media swooning for years and prompt draft gurus to foam all over themselves. The result of all this? A nice fat first round selection. What gets ignored? Real defensive skills like tackling and recognition etc..

I remember the hype on Reddick at the time and like so many other black players in other drafts and this current one, they are catapulted into the public imagination as examples of "stunning" black athletes capable of leaping small buildings in a single bound.

Meanwhile T. J. Watt barely slipped into the first round after a late rush in the 2017 draft and has been nothing short of stellar and is now properly recognized as one of the best players in all of football. Of course despite the psycho behavior of LB Rueben Foster, who got into a fight with medical personal at the combine, still made it into the first round despite red flags from here to China. He as predicted amounted to nothing. The leeway given black players is beyond the pale.

But Hasaan Reddick is yet another example of teams flocking to sub standard black defenders. But like waves pounding the surf with no relief in sight the NFL draft will continue to load up on many black players who aren't deserving. But since there is a constant overflow of black players from year to year there is little chance to pause and assess the obvious racial imbalance. The collective media memory on this subject is short. If one black player fails in one draft he will be replaced by the next black hyped up wonder in later drafts. You can take that to the bank.

Soft and oft-injured Safety.

Colts declined S Malik Hooker's fifth-year team option for 2021.
Hooker has yet to play a full season for the Colts, playing in 34 of a potential 48 games. Just last season, Hooker dealt with hand, knee and foot injuries. His name was also floated as a possible trade candidate by former NFL executive Michael Lombardi ahead of the draft. When on the field, Hooker lives up to his draft billing in a free safety role. The Colts have plenty of cap space available in 2021, so if Hooker produces a healthy and quality 2020 season, he could cost Indy a hefty price in the form of a long term contract. As Field Yates points out, among 2017 first-round picks: 17 were picked up, 13 were declined, one player was extended and one was outright released.

Ran a 4.63/4.68 40 at the Combine and a 4.75 at his pro day yet the Lions were stupid enough to draft him in the 2nd round.

49ers waived CB Teez Tabor.
It was with a non-football injury designation. The No. 53 overall pick of the 2017 draft by the Lions, Tabor was among Detroit's final cuts last summer before spending the year on the Niners' practice squad. Tabor has good length at 6'1/199 but tested extremely poorly from an athletic standpoint when he came out of Florida. Now 24, he'll look for his third team.

This is the guy who drafted Rashan Gary instead of Chase Winovich. A totally dumb move. Gutekunst was probably dazzled by Gary's blackness.

Washington released RB Derrius Guice.
Guice was released following his domestic violence-related arrest. Washington is cutting ties with Guice, but this is another bad look for an organization that's been under fire this offseason. ESPN's John Keim reports that charges against Guice stemmed from three separate incidents earlier this year. With Guice gone, Washington will move forward with Bryce Love and rookie Antonio Gibson competing with Adrian Peterson for snaps. Guice will be facing a minimum six-game suspension if he lands a second chance.

Lions waived OL Josh Garnett.
Garnett signed in February after spending last year out of the league. The 2016 first-rounder was a longshot for the final roster. The Lions also released Travis Fulgham, Chris Lacy, LB Christian Sam, and DE Jonathan Wynn.


Travis Fulgham was a 2019 6th round pick of Detroit /Christian Sam was a 2018 6th rd pick of New England. I wouldn't consider them busts - both were caste system beneficiaries though and picked over white athletes.

Jaguars DE Aaron Lynch retired. I decided to put him in this thread because although he was a 5th round pick he was a very hyped up, supposedly once in a generation can't miss 5 star prospect. His college career was only two years and he was in no way a dominant defensive player during his stints at Notre Dame or USF. He ends his NFL career having 20 sacks over 6 seasons which averages out to 3.33 a year and 105 total tackles which averages out to 17.5 a year. Fine example of how bogus these high school recruiting services are and an example of how a mediocre black player can hang around for years in the league living off of a 5 star HS ranking.

Dolphins cut Kalen Ballage - a terrible RB and 4th round draft pick in 2018.

Dolphins waived RB Kalen Ballage.
Ballage infamously averaged 1.8 yards on his 74 carries last season behind one of the worst offensive lines of the decade. The Dolphins had to upgrade their running back room, and they did so by acquiring Jordan Howard and Matt Breida. They also claimed rookie RB Salvon Ahmed on waivers today. Ballage isn't a lock to land on a 53-man roster this season but will likely get another chance to show he's healthy via try out or practice squad. He ended up on injured reserve in 2019.

Although his rushing efficiency was pedestrian, Ballage looks the part of a true three-down back at times, and shined at the Senior Bowl as a receiver. He showed high-end size-adjusted athleticism in Indy and ran 4.46. Ballage has a history of ball-security woes, however, and some scouts thought he "looked like tarzan, played like jane." Ballage was a college underachiever with a chance to be better in the pros.

He might have been the worst running back, not only in Dolphins history, but possibly the worst running back I've ever seen on an NFL field.

I'm more concerned about this other running back they signed. I hope this doesn't spell trouble for Patrick Laird. During practices, Tua Tagovailoa has actually developed quite the chemistry with Laird in the passing game. Laird is an extremely versatile back. I think he needs to get a bit stronger so he can break tackles better. Hopefully he's put on more muscle during the offseason.

Van Ginkel is now listed as the starter at one of the OLB spots by Our Lads. Calvin Munson is listed as a backup at ILB, while Clayton Fejedelem is a backup SS. Fejedelem is definitely starter material but like most of the small number of White safeties "allowed" to play in the NFL is always assigned the backup/special teams role.
