Again, don't have a lot of time right now, but for every Thielan/McCaffrey there are ten other white players that didn't get the opportunity. McCaffrey only got a shot because his dad played in the NFL. If not, we may have never seen him. No question blacks can play the game, but so can whitey as you've alluded to. I can give you several white RB's coming out HS that were as good or better than CM! The same year as CM!

I think there will probably be plenty of responses to this thread, so I'm going to leave just this one thought, and it's a very general one: at certain positions, particularly on defense, the only white players in the NFL are superstars. That makes for an odd looking curve. I discovered this a few years ago when looking at the NFL leaders in sacks. Something like 6 of the top 12 in the league were white, then there was not another white player until somewhere around 35th. That's a very weird grouping near the top, then basically nothing after it.

Okay, one more thought. "... a smallish quickster"? You mean like Joe Washington?
