If teams want to waste his talents as lead blocking pile driver an H-Back is a better option. But what a waste of his running ability.
Leonard is a TOOL!!! The guy takes black literature and is content that his number of carries per season has actually gone down every year. A true competitor would be pissed off that they'er working their tail off trying to become a better player and yet they get touches taken away from them. Screw Brian Leonard!
He may be a tool - or even a wigger - but he is one of the few we can cheer for. Until they let more of our people on the field we have limited options.
Besides, most wiggers outgrow this silly phase and look back in shame on their former antics. They thought they were being cool at the time but realize they were perceived as quite pathetic by both blacks and whites.

In Arizona, part of the requirements for a degree in addition to your usual core math, english, science, et cetera are courses that also fulfill certain Cultural Awareness and Global/Historical Awareness criteria. All of the cultural awareness classes have something to do with either Indians, Blacks, Hispanics, or women as they pertain to literature, sociology or what have you. Everybody at some point has to take a Black/Hispanic/Women Literature class to complete their degree, even if they don't want to. Maybe NJ is similar to AZ in this respect. He probably takes the class because he has friends from the team in it.
Maybe Brian is pissed off but is it really in his best interests to voice his frustration? Whites don't seem to make it very far if they don't play the "team player" card. White players who are perceived to lack humility become reviled much easier than their black counterparts.

It's too late now. He should've told his coach before the season began that he wanted to start at RB. Of course he would still have to go out and perform regardless of what the coach decided.
Whites typically don't make it very far, period.
We don't want him bitching and moaning to the media, but he should've stood up for himself behind closed doors, at the very least.

If Leonard can't even get the ball at Rutgers, why do you guys think he would sniff the ball in the NFL? I hope he does, I'm just asking.

i asked the guys at DraftDaddy about it, and they suggested that his decision about this year came after talking to another former Rutgers standout ( i think it was a receiving tight end?) about how the NFL treated guys like them... DD suggested that i read between the lines, and you know what they meant.

Brian Leonard will be attending the Senior Bowl. Hopefully he can showcase his talent to NFL coaches and scouts.
Brian's final stats of the day were:
19 carries for 106 yards, 5.6 ypc (season best, 9 of these came in a row, on the last possesion. Schiano just let him pound it in, going for it on 4th and 1!) and 2 TDs plus 4 catches for 27 yards.
he did better than Rice who got 106 yards on 21 carries and no catches.
one thing i noticed about Leonard following his stats, he has never fumbled a ball!

What a monster game!It really sucks because we all know that he could have done this all year long.Maybe they can showcase him in their Bowl Game.I sure hope so because he needs to make the scouts & coaches in the NFL into believers.It just makes me sick that this incredibly talented running back had to block all year long like so many others.Especially after being hyped for the Heisman and then to get shafted.Keep your head up Brian and kick some ass in the Senior Bowl too.

50-50? i don't think so. i think it would probably have been better at 80-20, of course in the other direction.
Leonard just does so much more than rice, in every facet of the game. he excites his team and the crowd in much the same way Alstott does for the Bucs.
Leonard is faster, bigger, and better than rice. PERIOD. this game makes you wonder how the season would have turned out if Leonard had been the featured guy in the backfield... especially their loss to Louisville.
it's a great video, but it proves all of my points. look at it again, and notice that Leonard runs away from people when he's not running over them. rice, on the other hand, never outruns the angle, blows past people, or looks like a break-away threat. in fact, he routinely gets caught from behind.

Rice is sgiftier than Leonard but that's to be expected with size difference.
