Couldn"t believe Mike Mayock said on the live show this morning of the North Practice that Leonard took one on the chin for the team by taking a backseat but he really wants to play TB.Mayock also said he sees Leonard as a TB first but could play FB also.Leonard was smart to drop weight to 224,Mayock commented on this that he heard Leonard compared to Alstott but in his mind he didn:t think so because he said Leonard was more lean muscle and Quicker than Alstott.Because by him losing the weight maybe he will get the chance if not he lost money by not coming out last year.I"am planing on making a trip Friday to Mobile if I get to speak to him I going to tell him to remember what Bettis di when he came out, because he told the scouts that he would not play Fb but wanted to play Rb and look what it did for him.

Watching senior bowl practice Mike Mayock said"I struggled watching tape to find anything I disliked about this kid." and "He will find a home at the next level at either position, and it will be interesting to see how a team decides to use him." The way Mayock said interesting almost sounded like hoped he plays RB. That's white.

What teams are you guys hoping draft Leonard? The two New York teams are very interested and both are in need of a starting back to carry the load with Martin and Barber both done.How about the Lions? Their offense is very white and Kevin Jones is always hurt, they did draft Staley it wasn't their fault he couldn't stay healthy. Any other teams who might give Leonard a shot?
The Giants may be a very good fit for Brian. Tiki is leaving and I believe Coughlin is fair (in terms of NFL coaches) and they already have a battering ram of a fullback to block. But the Lions may be the most interesting pick from our point of view.

mock draft on draftdaddy.com has brian going to the pats in the first round. could you imagine the whitest team in the nfl picking up the only white rb in the league. i could see it now "Patriots win 8 Super Bowls in 10 years."

but the pats have mauroney and dillon, so it would help us none as he wouldn't get many touches.

Leonard in the first round? He will be a second rounder at best.
Maroney is a good rb but Dillon is a shell of his former self. He's shouldn't be in the league very much longer. Leonard is every bit as good as Maroney and would see the field for the Pats in some form. But the problem is most teams will want him as a fullback or H-back with the occasional carry.

Dillon might be a cap casualty. Maroney hit a wall this year as well and struggled to make any positve yardage when hit behind the line.

He did play well and was second in kickoff return average. That is why he is getting credit.
Not all rookies are good. Some really suck and get cut in camp. It doesn't matter to me what color their skin is, it is what they do on the field. Hass was cut because the Saints didn't consider him a good WR. They had Colston and he impressed them in camp. Maroney also played well in some games, poorly in others.

At any rate, one of this arguements is sufficient, but I disagree that the Pats would be a good fit. But who knows? Injuries can bite any team...

I heard scouts talking about the Pats using Brian in 3rd down / short yardage back. Picture Marion Barber in Dallas.
Great Pics! Also I really cannot see Leonard getting drafted in the 1st Rd because let's face the reality of the situation. Unless Leonard were to run a 4.40 40 yr dash there is no way an NFL team would draft a white RB in the 1st Rd. I don't care who the team/coach is. I can see brian going in the 2nd but that's about it. Could you imagine all the scrutiny a team would come under from the media for taking a "FB" like Leonard in the 1st Rd. I could see ESPN burning people at the stake for making a "mistake" like that.

Brian had at least 3 for 15 on the ground, and the aforementioned 13 yard catch. He blocked most of the time though.
I'm pretty sure Brian got 5 carries. He was on the field a lot in that game. Tony Hunt only had 8 carries. other than being overlooked for several passes by his QB's, I think he was showcased pretty well by Gruden. I would have loved to see him get the ball out in space more.
