[Extra Point]

Pro Football Focus is quoted by a lot of people nowadays. I don't think their grades are very accurate or worth very much. Here's a couple of examples why.

They have a bizarre theory on run defense. They've said "Tackles don't matter, anyone can make tackles." (This, of course, raises the question if anyone can make tackles then why don't they.) Instead they apparently assess players by how many "run-stops" they have.

Blake Martinez is one of the best run defenders in the league and routinely is among the league leaders in tackles. I remember one year he had 144 tackles and they rated him poor against the run. Apparently he didn't have enough "run-stops."

In another case a player offered to fly in the person doing the assessment to watch video to show him why his assessment was wrong. In turns out the PFF employee was in Bangladesh and couldn't come. Can you really be an expert on football when you never watched it growing up and never played it?

While I will quote PFF if I can make a white player look good I really don't think PFF has much validity.

Crissie Collinsworth is the majority owner of PFF, one of the most biased football analysts ever though I'll admit he's improved this season. That alone makes it suspicious. I don't go directly to PFF, not about to join it at this time, but the site and its grades are mentioned constantly by the media as it has a monopoly on its particular niche. I occasionally see "grades" which make a White player look good, but it mostly appears to have the usual Caste System slant against White players, similar to scouting and recruiting sites.

On the right hand side of this page are very easy to digest articles on how they rank each position. I like how they grade QBs, but thats the easiest one to do (Aaron Rogers is the highest ranked QB right now). However at the other postions such as Pass Coverage and Run Stopper, the put to much emphasis on "style points" For Example, Jeff Heath, the number three rated Safety in football per PFF even though he has limited snaps accrued a high grade because of his three ball hawking interceptions he has on the season. He got a better score for his interceptions then say Harrison Smith on Monday as the ball fortuitously fell into his hands. Blake Martinez however droped from an 81, which is an all pro ranking, to a 76, a prowl bowl ranking over his performance last Sunday. I didnt watch his play, but I doubt he did anything much worse or more spectacular than he has all season so that is a bit odd and needs to be dissected

David Montogomry of the Chicago bears has a 77.4 rating which as we all know is laughable. Any algorithm that says that guy is an elite RB is very flawed and needs to be revisited. The highest rated RB right now is Derrell Henderson of the Rams....nobody who follows football would ever list him as the best RB this season even in limited snaps so that obviously needs to be addressed!

It's leftist logic applied to sports. In a sport where tackling is the most important aspect of the defensive side of the game they decide to totally ignore it and minimize it. Then they don't question why offenses are scoring at a record pace.

I ran across a PFF report on Rams linebacker Troy Reeder. In a recent game he had 10 tackles and 3 sacks. PFF gave him a very bad grade for his performance. Pro Football Focus is a joke.

If you think that the current political climate, the decades of "Critical Race Theory" as a belief system of the societal managers has nothing do with this bias, bigotry and discrimination you are gravely mistaken.

These people are barely credible at best.

It looks like PFF has it in for Giants guard Shane Lemieux? In week 12 Lemieux played 57 snaps and did not allow a single pressure in 33 pass-blocking snaps. PFF "inexplicably" gave him a 31.0 grade, a very bad grade in their system.

If you don't give up a single pressure how much better can you play?
