Espn was discussing which team he will be going to this season like its automatically going to happen, and that he would be a starter right away on some teams, they mentioned the Rams as one of those.

This guy hasn't played since 2008 and is 33 years old, numerous off the field issues. Matt Jones is bigger, faster and younger yet no one is talking about his return....I guess the "shot" with the Bengals was the last time he would play in the NFL, they could have used him last year but cut him. Neither Ochocinco or T.O. cracked 1k and both caught around 50 percent of passes thrown to them.Edited by: dwid

I knew as soon as this idiot got out teams would be fighting to sign him. Any black player can be out of the league for a few years and be welcomed back with open arms. Michael Vick is just one example.

Yeah, the media is already drooling over Plaxico's return. I heard speculation that the 2 years away from the game was good for him because he had knee and back issues. All I can think about is Matt Jones, who didn't go to prison but couldn't get a contract. Then, after only one year away from the game, and still in his prime, he was deemed slow and washed up.

Burress ran about a 4.6 flat 40 coming out of college and that was in 2000. He's now 10 years older(33 years old) and there is no way he runs faster than a 4.7 or 4.8 40 at this age and given the fact that he's been out of football for two years. Plenty of teams will be lining up to sign a 4.8 40 guy. Pathetic!

I was watching Sports Center last night and the clown narrating the segment on Burress said that the gun incident had "tarnished his legacy" of catching the TD pass that carried the Giants over the unbeaten Patriots in the 2008 Super Bowl. Conveniently ignored was the fact that Burress had been a world-class thug and bonehead his entire NFL career beforemanaging to shoothimself.

Since he is one of the very rare black affletes to actually do prison time for his crimes, there is going to be tons of sympathy for Burress. If he has anything left he'll get a couple of years at least of opportunities.

Speaking of the way Matt Jones has been screwed over compared to Burress, I'll always rememberhow Burress and record setting UCLA receiver Danny Farmer were both drafted by the Steelers in 2000. Farmer had a far better collegiate career and had virtually the same time in the 40 as Burress (Burress had timed .01 faster). But Burress was always labeled as "fast" by the Pittsburgh media and Farmer "slow." Farmer could jump like a kangaroo and was very smart; Burress was a poor jumper who showed up for his rookie training camp in a stretch limo dressed like a pimp. But Farmer was the one who was hated by his teammates, Bill Cowher, and the white whores in the Pittsburgh media and ended up being cut in his rookie training camp, while the underachieving Burress was given several seasons as a starter before finally putting it together.

Among Burress's arrests was an incident in Virginia Beach where he and his friends went "wilding," beating up every White person they encountered in that tourist city. Burress will continue to be portrayed by the media as a sympathetic figure coming out of prison, but the truth is he has already had nine lives and continues to be in high demand as a football player while the likes of Danny Farmer never did get a genuine opportunity in the NFL, and Matt Jones was whiteballed out of the league because of one screw-up in his personal life.Edited by: Don Wassall

Its sad that receivers like Blair White dont get drafted and have to work their tails off to prove themselves while losers like Burress get a free pass though not as talented.

at least rotoworld has got this much to say:

According to NFL Network's Mike Lombardi, the Eagles "love" second-year WR Riley Cooper as a fourth receiver.
Lombardi sees Cooper as one of the reasons Philadelphia "makes no sense" as a landing spot for free agent Plaxico Burress. Cooper was the 159th overall pick in last year's draft, and caught seven passes for 116 yards with one touchdown as a rookie. We don't see good reason to believe Plax would be a definite upgrade. Cooper is a possible red-zone specialist at 6'3/215.

There was a jock sniffing article in the NY Post today by writer Steve Serby. He basically claimed that Burress was the victim of a witch hunt and the Mayor was out to get him and that anybody else that did the same thing would have neve gone to prison. Than he complained that Burress had to be in lonely Protective Custody while forced to eat p and j sandwiches and surviving on water. Right. What crap. Burress is a millionaire and Im pretty sure he maxed out his weekly canteen oders. PLaxico has noone to blame but himself. That bullet ricochet almost hit a bouncer and could have killed him. What a load of crap.

To be fair, I think both Burress and Jones are bad news. The ESPN documentary on Burress (might have been on E:60) more than proved to me (and probably everyone who watched it) that nobody should ever sign him. Jones had drug problems -- and while I'm all for giving people second, third, fourth, etc. chances to be good, successful people, I would not give them second chances to be multi-million dollar investments as professional athletes, so I would most definitely pass on him, too. This goes for any professional athlete using illegal drugs. Maybe some will think I'm being closed-minded but so be it.

When Plaxico first propelled a bullet into his own thigh back in 2008, Don wrote an epic post chronicling his checkered past and inferior NCAA statistics and workout measurables when contrasted against those of former UCLA man-amongst-boys wide receiver, Danny Farmer (both of whom were drafted by the Steelers in the 2000 draft).

The Burress-Farmer saga is a bedtime story that perfectly illustrates the Caste System's modus operandi. A white athlete that is athletically, physically, intellectually, and socially superior to his "1st Rounder" black counterpart is cut, while his black counterpart is given every opportunity to succeed"¦even after being incarcerated for accidentally shooting himself whilst "partying" at a nightclub.

Now, the unathletic, 33-year old slow-poke possession receiver is being released to a league that is undyingly willing to embrace "troubled"Â multi-millionaires...so long as their melanin content produces a sufficient hue of darkened skin cells.

Plaxico Burress and Drew (The Jew) Rosenhaus, corporate butt-buddies for life"¦

I was watching a few minutes of Sportscenter yesterday at the gym. They showed some white idiot, most likely Burress agent, jumping into his arms like a girlfriend whose boyfriend just returned after a few years in Afghanistan. If he catches even 30 balls in his first season he'll be Comeback Player of the Year.

Jude "Blowsenhouse" sickens me to no end...typical money-grubbin', parasitic, cultmarx tribesman. He probably was "punkin" for PlaxiYO on the limo ride from the pen.

I saw this clip on the local news and figured it must have been a random DWF run amok. Knowing that it's his Jewish agent makes the spectacle no less awkwardor hard to watch.

The return of Burress has certainlygivenfans (that is to say undignified sissy boys and player worshiping wimps) a chance todisplay theirignorance.
One radio conversation went something like this:

DWF; "We need to get him if we can. What is he, like 6'7?
Host; "I don't have a tape measureup to him but he's gotta be at least 6'6."
DWF; "He'll be going up against guys like Revis, who is like, what, 5'10?
Host; "I think he's a little bit bigger than that but yeah."

First of all, when did 6'5 become 6'7 and 5'9 (Revis' listedheight)become "a little bigger" than 5'10. It's funnythatablack player that is not so tallis perceived by thedrunk asin the 6' ballparkbut a not-so-tall but athletic white athlete is defined by his "diminutive" stature evenif he is about 6' tall. If a black player actually is tall, the drooling sissies perceive him as almost unbelievably tall. How anyone who has actually seen Revis on a football field can believe he's bigger than 5'10 is beyond me. He looks about 5'8.

Further, when did height alone make a good football player? There are advantages to being taller and advantages to being shorter. The shorter players areusuallyquicker, faster, and more solidly built. It should be noted that many of the best Wide Recievers in the game are below 6' tall withsome of the mostoutstanding being5'9 and below. TheDWF also seems to fail to consider the fact that many DBs have vertical jumps that shame Burress' and thuswill allow them to make plays on the ball even duringhis suppossed specialty play,"TheJump Ball".

Another conversation went like this:

Local Host: "So do you want a guy like Burress...I guy that shoots himself in the leg, etc."
St. Louis Rams fan: "Of course.Have youseen our recievers. We have nobody."
Local Host (Interjecting): "They're shorter than me hahahah."

Again, the ignorant preocupation with height and disregard forup-and-coming talentDanny Amendola (among others). It speaks for itself how this obsession with height over all other qualities applies only to blacks. Edited by: Latspread

Isn't living in a pigsty par for the course for the groidians? Also, wasn't PlaxiYO in PC ("Punk" Custody)? I hear-tell any "celebrities" are marked men in the joint. I'm sure the Brand would have made short work of the vermin.

Plastic-hoe Burra$$ doesn't deserve to be anywhere near a football field, except maybe to clean up the grounds. Of course he'd never do work like that. I sure hope Eli doesn't start lobbying for Burra$$'s return.

Burress' actual height is 78" (or 6' 5"Â) and his arms are exceptionally long, a physique he so desperately needs"¦you know, since his vertical leap is so disgracefully pedestrian. During actual gameplay with the Steelers and Giants, I've never seen him elevate or "climb the ladder" more than 6"Â.

I personally can out-jump this unathletic slug by a mile"¦God only knows what Danny Farmer (or the many hundreds to white Casteon screw-jobs) could produce.

Note - Burress was likely wearing shoes (probably expensive boots) for his mugshot...

PlaxiYO Burr@$$'s combine stats show a 33" vertical. He's supposed to be this freakish "afflete", yet my best vertical was 34"...at 6'8 250 (in college)...and I was considered an "average" to above-average athlete (for D2). This guy has been (over)hyped to the moon by the caste vermin...whilst being worshiped by the DWFs.
