F***, damn...game over. We needed Hillis. What do we have left? Hoover 1 carry for 2 yds? Hillis was our white hope..and was having a good game. There goes our Caste Buster. We have to wait another 20 yrs..F@@@ it. Like the NBA , I gave that up 10 yrs ago, so will be the NFL. Things will be good, now I can concentrate on things that benefit the causes I fight for.

Listen man take some valuum Peyton is a good old rugged white man he will be back next week, and continue to dominate. He has proven himself to be a good running back in this leauge and his coach has the clout to play him with out a huge fan reaction because Shannahan has proven he knows talent when he finds it. So I say Peyton will play again why risk fuether injury when you need Hillis for the playoffs. Smart move by Shannahan to keep him out of the game and risk aggrivating the injury further.

Hillis will be back this season, definately in time for the playoffs.

To all of you here who think Shannahan is dumb enough to start flabby, ineffective, generic Tatum Bell during the playoffs...I think you're in for a big surprise.

Veteran caste-girl Mike Shannahan got his "wake up call" when Hillis took over at RB. With Hillis, Sheffler, and Stokley, the Broncos are the team to root for in the playoffs.

Shanahan ran only two or three times the entire second half--I think he's counting on Hillis as a ball carrier.

I was just reading the lastest news I could find on Peyton Hillis injury. According to what Hillis said after the game it was a hamstring strain, and he would get treatment throughout the week to prepare to play in next weeks game. His coach did say that similar injuries due somtimes take a month to heal however know one knows the extent of Hillis's injury. Hillis was walking without assistance, and without any noticeable limp righty after the game. Like I said before he was kept out of the game after the injury for precautionary reasons. I think Hillis will play next week, and continue to play well. I could not find where Shannahan say's that Hillis will be out 5 weeks, and I hope for all of our sakes those of us who really have an interest in seeing Hillis do well as a tailback, that the injury is not serious, and he plays next week. He really needs to play the rest of the season to further shatter the caste ceiling that has been placed upon the white athlete by the powers of the NFL. To further their own hate whitey agenda that they themselves have been implementing for nearly 35 the last time whites did run the ball on a consistent basis in the leauge before the purge of the white ball carrier began.

ESPN was giddy to repeat Shannahan's "Hills out 5 weeks" prediction. I agree that Hillis will be back very soon, perhaps even this weekend. Shannahan is a typical caste stooge, but he seems to be turning the perverbial corner.

Think about it....Shannahan is STARTING a young, white QB, a white WR, a white TE, a very white OL, and a white, rookie RB! I think he likes Hillis, as he completely abandoned the running game after his injury.

GI-15 I think I am right listen any chance they get to keep whitey down they will pounce on it. They being the NFL pundits and very biased media. Hillis cannot simply afford to take any time off from this injury because trust me he knows that if he does he will lose this oppurtunity forever. All Hillis ever wanted since the time he started playing running back was to play it in the pro's his father has said as much. I beleive Hillis would like to fulfill his dreams for himself, and maybe even more for his father. I know that Hillis will rehab well this week and carry the load for the Bronco's. I feel like he is destined for greatness. I felt it the 1st time I saw him play at Arkansas, and I very much feel it now look what it took for him to play the postioin this year all those injuries. Roll on Peyton you have many people behind you watching you're every move please make us very proud.

Our worst fears realized: ESPN.com reports that Peyton Hillis will miss the remainder of the season with a strained hamstring.

So much for our playoff hopes for Peyton. I hate to admit it, but I have to agree with Bigunreal's assessment written elsewhere; this marks the end of Peyton's tenure as a starting running back. Denver will, unfortunately, seek another through the draft and promote Ryan Torain, resigning Peyton to a FB once again.

Thanks for the effort, Peyton.

When he came down from making the catch he was in a lot of pain. He pounded the turf with his fist, which was a good indication he knew he was seriously hurt.

With the comments he has made about no one believing in him, I think Peyton is aware of the Caste System to at least some extent. Just his treatment when being recruited out of high school and then at Arkansas had to have opened his eyes.

What Peyton needs to do from here on outis play smarter, ala Wes Welker and Kevin Walter. Play hard, but not kamikaze style. It can be a fine line, especially for a white running back, but he's proven that he's a beast, now he needs to keep healthy as much as possible. Edited by: Don Wassall

There is always next year, at the very least he proved he could do it. There will be a lot of competition, but as our adversaries like to say " the best player will play " and Hillis proved he's their best runner for the long term. Until then my packers are going down the drain, no more white RB to watch, this NFL season is almost over for me... at least there is still fantasy football...

Tom Luginbill and the rest of the ESPN caste clowns are secretly getting their sick enjoyment out of Peyton Hillis going down possibly for the season. Their whole lie with white RBs was beginning to get a dent in it.

Their WR lies already have come crashing down due to the play of Wes Welker and others, but they refuse to admit it. Even some drunk white fans are starting to see what a joke it is to not have a white WR in the top 30 in the nation every single year.

Hillis is going to have to come back for the playoffs if he wants a shot next year. I just don't see Denver trusting in him based on one 100 yard game even though he ran for 5 YPC in his stretch as a starter. The caste system is just too strong for him to be seen as legit yet by the Luginbill media and his black running back teammates.

But I repeat Hillis's season "might" be over. Here is what Yahoo reported:

Broncos RB Hillis could go on IR with hamstring pull

2 hours, 9 minutes ago

ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO (TICKER) â€â€￾The running back situation has gone from bad to disastrous for the Denver Broncos.

Rookie Peyton Hillis suffered a pulled hamstring in Denver's 24-17 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday and could be done for the season.

Coach Mike Shanahan said Monday that Hillis could go on season-ending injured reserve, which already has claimed four other Denver running backs this season.

In addition, Selvin Young, who opened the season as the starter, has had just one carry in the past seven games due to a lingering groin injury.

Hillis, a blocking fullback in college, has been a revelation for the Broncos, scoring five touchdowns in his last four games after being pressed into emergency duty at tailback.

"He brings a lot of energy to the table to it's tough to lose a guy like that," Shanahan said.

The Broncos (8-5) hold a three-game lead over the San Diego Chargers in the AFC West and can clinch the division title with either a win or a Chargers loss.

Hillis' injury leaves Tatum Bell as the only healthy tailback on the roster. Bell rushed for 52 yards on 11 carries after Hillis was hurt Sunday.

"When he's got his opportunity to play, he's played well," Shanahan said. "I've been pleased with him."

Denver's second-round pick in 2004 and a 1,000-yard rusher in 2006, Bell was re-signed by the club on November.

After Bell was released by Detroit in the preseason, he was accused of stealing luggage from fellow running back Rudi Johnson.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

I think he still might get a shot next year. He was one of the surprises this year and did a lot with his limited opportunity, he has only really played the past month. After the jets game it seems that he gained the respect of his team mates. only time will tell...it was a thrill while it lasted. Hopefully Hester can pick up some of the slack for the rest of the season.

Peyton Hillis' 2008 season:

68 carries, 343 yards, 5.0 avg., and 5TDs.

It's going to be pretty hard for people to ignore him next year. I think Mike Shanahan will give him a legitimate shot to be the primary ballcarrier for the Broncos next season.

We all know the deck is casted against them, but I hope that Hillis, Hester, and Leonard will all get reasonable chances to carry the ball in 2009. Edited by: Van_Slyke_CF

Here's an article I pulled from my FF site. Notice the title of the article calls him a tailback. Also, nice quote from Shanahan about Hillis's future:

Broncos TB Hillis going on IR with torn hamstring

By ARNIE STAPLETON - AP Sports Writer

2008-12-09 02:51

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -The Denver Broncos' backfield carousel shows no sign of slowing down.

Rookie Peyton Hillis, who had energized the offense over the last month, on Monday became the fifth Broncos tailback to go on injured reserve when medical tests showed he had a torn right hamstring behind the knee and could need surgery. He faces a two-month recovery.

The Broncos are now down to their seventh tailback in Tatum Bell.

Hillis had moved over from fullback with the spate of injuries to the Broncos' battered backfield and was the biggest surprise among a dozen rookies who are getting significant playing time in Denver this season.

He averaged 5.0 yards a carry and scored five times, including an 18-yard rumble Sunday before getting hurt in Denver's 24-17 win over Kansas City that put the Broncos (8-5) on the brink of the playoffs.

Hillis rushed for 343 yards and had 179 yards receiving with one touchdown catch. He quickly emerged as a fan favorite by running over safeties and bullying his way past first-down markers and the goal line alike.

``It's always tough to lose a guy like that,'' coach Mike Shanahan said. ``But he will be good for the future. He's proved that he can play tailback in the National Football League, and that one catch he made was probably as good a catch as you could make in a very tough situation and unfortunately, he pulled his hamstring making that catch.''

Hillis, who rushed eight times for 58 yards, made an acrobatic, leaping catch but when he landed, he was smothered by free safety Jarrad Page and cornerback Brandon Carr. Hillis was bent in half with his right foot planted and his right knee straight.

Shanahan said Hillis suffered a 2- to 3-inch tear of his right hamstring.

Hillis joins tailbacks Andre Hall, Michael Pittman, Anthony Alridge and Ryan Torain on IR. Plus, Selvin Young, the starter when the season began, has carried just once in the last two months because of a torn groin.

``It's disappointing you lose him at this time of year because he's a load and he's one of the few guys ever that I've watched that will actually run over safeties,'' Shanahan said of Hillis, a seventh-round draft pick from Arkansas who made his mark in college blocking for first-round draft picks Darren McFadden and Felix Jones.

The Broncos will promote Cory Boyd from the practice squad to compete with P.J. Pope to serve as Bell's backup.

Bell, who was selling cell phones at a local mall when he was re-signed last month, had a 28-yard run on Denver's winning 95-yard touchdown drive Sunday. He's rushed for 100 yards on 24 carries since his return to Denver, where he played from 2004-06.

After a dismal season in Detroit, he was jettisoned by the Lions and went to work hawking cell phones and wireless plans at a kiosk at the Aurora Mall before the Broncos came calling again last month.

``Well, when he's gotten his opportunity to play, he's played well,'' Shanahan said. ``And he made a guy miss on that one sweep, and he did a nice job and got some big yards on that play. So, I've been pleased with him.''

Taking advantage of his second chance, Bell has adjusted to the Broncos' offense faster than expected for somebody coming in at midseason and having been out of football and working 9-to-5.

``I think anytime somebody's out on the streets for a while, everybody gets humbled,'' Shanahan said. ``If a coach has been fired, a player that's been cut, it's the same thing. You look forward to those opportunities and you take advantage of those opportunities once you get them.

``And Tatum's come in, worked extremely hard and he's taken advantage of an opportunity.''

The Broncos' troubles at running back present a unique opportunity for Bell, who played three solid seasons for Denver and gained 1,025 yards rushing in 2006 to re-establish himself as an NFL back.

Bell has at least one supporter in receiver Brandon Marshall.

``We've got T-Speed back there,'' Marshall said. ``Hillis has been doing a great job, and that's the only thing keeping Tatum on the sideline. He's a premier back in this league, and I'm excited to see what he's going to do.''

Notes: If Hillis finishes the season as the team's leading rusher, his 343 yards will be the lowest leading total in team history. Gerald Willhite's 347 yards in the strike-shortened 1982 season is currently the low. ... Boyd, who was signed to the Broncos' practice squad on Nov. 4 after being waived by Tampa Bay in July, said he's caught on quickly to Denver's offense because he ran in a similar offense at South Carolina. ... Shanahan said WR Brandon Stokley (heel) should be able to play on Sunday at Carolina. Stokley was still limping and looked to be in a lot of pain when he walked gingerly through the locker room Monday.

I wonder if this injury was exacerbated from his heavy lifting to maintain his bodybuilder thighs. I'm not saying he wouldn't have been injured without squatting. But I suspect the injury would have been less.

He ought to get down to 230 or 235 between now and training camp whether Shanahan or anyone else likes it or not. He'll be unbelievably effective running at that weight.

I agree Don, I'd say 230 lbs. that'd be perfect for his frame and 6'2 height and probably give him his 4.5 speed back. And I have two questions. Did Hillis do most of his running from a single set backfield? And how bad is this hamstring tear was it a full tear or partial? Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Not to pick a fight with anyone in particular, but Peyton Hillis did not appear particularly heavy as an NFL tailback. What he did look like was a back who made definitive cuts and BROKE TACKLES as he made his way downfield. He also possesses EXCELLENT skills as a receiver. His speed is not IMO in question; his durability is.

Hillis is an NFL talent AT TAILBACK and Mike Shanahan knows it. While he is certain to hedge his bet and open competition to every back in God's creation, I would not be surprised if Peyton's performance reminded Shanahan of another late-round "tweeners "pro career-- Tyrell Davis'

He looked faster every week he played TB, there is a definitive difference between emergency-TB Hillis against the browns and rookie-of-the-week-TB Hillis against the chiefs. Confidence is a big factor, shaking the rust and getting the RB vision back is another one. I think he could play at 250 pounds next year and be effective. His injury was really a freak incident. But he would be more effective as a 230-235 pounds RB. I think there would be less chances for him of going back at FB at that weight.

NFL players can do whatever they wants in the off-season right? Could he lose the weight by himself and go to camp at 230? That would be a big statement, I don't know what effect it could have on his coaches...
