Thanks j41181, well I'm off to bed...j41181 said:Majority Decision WIN for Pavlik!
Not his best effort, gotta give Lopez much credit for giving Pavlik a real fight. Pavlik's got a long way in regaining that 2007 form.

All of this constant "pound for pound" hype wouldn't be trundled out if the heavyweight champions were black. Pacquiao is conveniently lauded as "the world's greatest boxer" and is purposely overexposed as the so-called "face of boxing" - for example, his ugly mug has appeared on the cover of Time magazine - while the heavyweights are virtually ignored (and on the occasions that they are not, the heavyweights are dismissed as "boring" and "weak").

I don't think Pacquiao gets special attention because the media wants to further embarrass Whites, he gets attention because he's quite simply one of the greatest boxers in recent memory -- all time, even -- from any weight class.
Yes, the media is racist against the Klitschkos but I don't think Asians as a group are not promoted by the media to be anything special athletically. Latinos aren't promoted as an athletically-superior group, either.
Physically, Hispanics and Asians aren't trumpeted by the media as being better than Whites -- only Blacks are given this spurious honor.
The fact that Hispanics and Asians routinely own Blacks in the ring and in the case of Hispanics on the soccer field especially, it just goes to show that the entire idea of Blacks being better overall athletes is patently ridiculous.
So, there's nothing wrong with enjoying the fact that Pacquiao kicks any other overhyped (ahem, Merriweather) Black ass.

After all, they said, Jones was 39, going downhill and his best years were behind him.
So, the 37 Joe C. beat up an old man. Big deal. So what! Nobody cares!
Bad, bad, bad for boxing.
Pac-Man pounds a 39 year old, past his prime fighter, it's great for boxing and everyone gushes over Manny.
Just sayin.
