Other NFL positions of potential growth for white players?

With the NFL a little whiter in the WR and TE positions over the last 10-15 years, what are the chances of seeing a little more whitening in other positions such as, RB, S, and the most difficult place to break through, CB?

I try to be optimistic that with the little progress we've made at WR there could be a small hope that we can break through at other positions.

If there is somewhere around 40 White WR's now with a chance to make NFL rosters, what would it be like if there was just half or 20 White RB's with the same opportunity? Does anyone here think this is possible in say the next 10 years?

Obviously, RB and Safety are the best hope, but I would like to here opinons from our
knowledgeable posters and to submit current names and positions such as,

Currently at RB we have Hillis, Woodhead, Gerhart,........etc. and we have have guys coming out of college like Burkhead, Line, etc. and then do the same for S/CB. If there are other positions you would like mention, that would be great.

I know, I know, the list will be short, but just wanted to see where we are now with RB's as opposed to the late 90's and early 2000's. Has there been some progress as we've see with WR and do any of ya'll think there could be more progress at RB, S, and CB or any other position

We have alot of intelligent gentlemen on CF and I would like your true thoughts and opinions. Remember as Don says, "keep the faith."

I think DT should be majority white in a fair world. I think it may lighten up a little simply because DT seems to bust more than any other position.

I don't think Hillis is going to find a team. I suspect his career is over.

The NFL will absolutely not tolerate white men running the ball. So there will be no improvement at RB.

Honestly, I don't think the numbers will improve for whites at any position. And they will continue to get worse at QB and OL. That situation will last for as long as the NFL can sustain it.

there's a lot of very good white LB and DEs in the league, i think we should see uptick there. nearly every white player that's highly rated delivers and many of the completely unheralded ones come through as well.

Linebacker has definitely improved in recent years, in quantity and especially in quality. I was just checking the list of White linebackers in the Hall of Fame, and the last ones were Jack Ham, Jack Lambert, and Ted Hendricks, whose careers ended in '82, '84 and '83 respectively. That's a long time ago. The '90s and early '00s were as barren for star White linebackers as was the case at wide receiver and tight end. But Brian Urlacher is a surefire Hall of Famer, and now we see Clay Matthews, James Laurainitis, Chad Greenway, Sean Lee, Paul Posluzny, Brian Cushing, Colin McCarthy, Luke Kuechly and Ryan Kerrigan all among the top linebackers in the league.

Linebacker seems to be the favored position to switch star White high school tailbacks to, especially with the continued diminishment of the fullback position. And there's also a trend of White college ends being moved to outside linebacker in the NFL, like Kerrigan, and now Bjoern Werner and maybe even Margus Hunt.

So I don't look to any short-term improvement on the d-line, possibly a slight increase in White safeties, and hopefully linebacker will continue to see incremental improvement. On offense, probably the continuation of the status quo with the main battle being whether the long-time White domination of quarterback can be weakened over the next few years. Burkhead and Gerhart are the Great White Hopes at RB but my hopes aren't very high at this point. Woodhead's lack of height will always be used against him but he has a shot this season if Ryan Matthews continues his injury prone ways. Too bad Hillis didn't understand that he had to conduct himself flawlessly after getting his opportunity and doing so well in 2010.

As the diminishing of the FB position may be having a positive effect on the LB position, could the glorification of the TE position possibly improve the DE position? The vast majority of the athletically well rounded men over 6'3" 240ish are going to be White. In college and HS quicker and less bulky White lineman may see more opportunities to become TE's at the next level instead of putting on more weight and fighting for lineman spots. That physical build and combination of speed and strength is ideal for DE's.

We should be making a bigger impact at safety, I mean there are at least a dozen White guys who can start in the NFL coming out every year. Only a few of them get real shots. We have Harrison Smith and Weddle who locked down spots. I haven't seen Eric Smith picked up, despite doing well when ever put on the field. We should see more since teams are playing in nickel and dime defenses more often. Guys like Chris Prosinski see the field during these situations.

As far as linebacker, the 3-4 has really helped our situation. There have been tons of guys considered "tweeners" at both DT and DE because they don't have an extra layer of fat to give them the prototypical weight. I mean if you have the power it shouldn't matter, but this is what they say keeps Whites out of the DT spot, being that most of the college ones are under 300 pounds or barely at 300, they like their defensive tackles to be closer to 320, doesn't matter if 20 to 30 pounds is fat. Now they can play 3-4 end. The guys that were considered too small to play DE in a 4-3 can now play 3-4 linebacker. Rob Ninkovich was an example of this, never given a chance with New Orleans, has done pretty well in New England, despite them transferring more to a 4-3.

Most of the notable black super stars at DE are getting old. John Abraham, not sure if anyone has picked him up. Dwight Freeney was just picked up after failing to do much after the Colts switched to the 3-4. The team that picked him up also runs the 3-4 but plans on catering the defense to suit him. I remember the 3-4 switch kind of messed up Aaron Kampman's career and no one was willing to cater to his skillset.

Btw, one of the up and coming black "super stars", Bruce Irvin for the Seahawks, tested positive for PEDS, 4 game suspension next year. It will be interesting to see how Aldon Smith does when Justin Smith retires, but I have a feeling Justin will be around for a while, even at the age of 33.

I think that the real big battle fronts in this struggle for more white NFL players are D-line and linebacker. There are so few white starters in these non-speed oriented positions that there is tremendous room for growth. A good example of the potential for this is to look at the Big 10 teams. Teams like Minnesota, Ohio State and Wisconsin will unfortunately have very few white safeties, CB's or runningbacks, but lots of white D-linemen and linebackers. Even Illinois this year looks to have four white starters in those positions. Coaches in the Big 10 are still afraid or unwilling to put non-blacks in the ultra forbidden territory of cornerback, but they are much more white friendly in the defensive front seven positions. Iowa goes further and will have whites as safeties as well as the front seven, just not CB. Anyway, using the Big 10 as a model for the NFL that could be, I'd say the defensive front seven is a gigantic zone of potential.

Penn St seems to have quite a few White safeties every now and then. Although Notre Dame is independent, they are in big 10 territory and they usually have one White safety starting.

How bad were things in the 90's/early 2000's? I was watching a few games and it seems like we had a few guys on dline. Last one I watched was Saints vs Bucs 99. Bucs had a White DT, who looked like he was doing a better job than Sapp (for the game), supposedly Sapp had a hand injury. The Saints had two White defensive ends, but seemed to use them more to occupy blockers and used the interior to get pressure, this would make sense because Glover the DT put up a high sack count from what I remember. They also had a White middle linebacker. Both teams had several White tight ends and the Saints had a White receiver in Keith Poole, although the qb play was terrible. Dilfer looks better than given credit for, the wideouts were dropping passes left and right.

I know there was breif period in the late 90's with some White receivers but does anyone remember how the dline situation was? The older games I have watched are mostly from the 70's/80's, I try to find the oldest and have ignored the 90's/early 2000's for the most part.

dwid, the Bucs DT back then was likely Brad Culpepper, who was vastly underrated. The 2 DE's from New Orleans were likely Brady Smith and Jared Tomich; both were fairly high picks by Mike Ditka, who seemed to be fairly "less-caste" than most during his day. He only had a brief stay in NOLA before he was fired and caste clowns Haslett and Mueller were brought in to darken the roster and keep local police busy.

Overall, I'd say there might've been more white starting DL's in that time period (latter 90's and very early 2000's), but their seem to be better white DE's and edge-rushing white OLB's these days. I believe the year was 2004 (or soon after), when all the 4 starting DE's in the Pro Bowl were white -- Kerney, Kampman, Schobel and Vanden Bosch?

In sum, I think the percentage of whites on 53 men rosters has held steady for a couple decades now -- at about 30 to 32% overall. That's about 26% (or less) when you factor out special teams "goys" -- punters, kickers, snappers.

So if there is a small rise of whites in one area (i.e white receivers post-Welker), there is an inevitable drop in another area. Overall, I think the quality of whites at certain positions is better today -- i.e linebacker, even if the percentages have dropped.

I have been following the NFL pretty closely since 2003. Over the past decade I would say that advances have been made at OT, DE, TE and WR.

OT was a fairly black position 10 or so years ago - guys like Walter Jones and Ogden were getting all the publicity. These days their seem to be a ton of great white OTs being churned out year after year.

DE/OLB is another position where I have noticed a small uptick in white players. Jared Allen and JJ Watt are the two best DEs in the league. Like others have mentioned the growth of the 3-4 has helped some of our guys transfer from being "too small" to play DE in the NFL to translating perfectly as OLBs.

TE seemed to be a position that was dying out somewhat 10 years ago, all the "best" TEs seemed to be black but this position has seen a pretty nice increase in white TEs drafted. More and more they are becoming relevant once again.

WR is a position I will acknowledge to a point. Welker, Decker, Hartline, Amendola, Edelman, Cooper, Walter (I am sure I am missing a few) have all become productive players and proved to people that white wr's are very good and have a place in the league. 10 years ago all I can really think of is Jurevicious, Stokely and Drew Bennett.

With that said we all saw how Vernon, Swope, Spadola, Moe (to name a few) all were screwed over in the draft this year. Hopefully these guys will all be able to make their squads.

RB is pretty much status quo. Alsott was the only white allowed to carry the ball in the early part of the 00's. Hillis was given his shot - proved himself as a very good RB, admittedly shot himself in the foot with the handling of his contract and fell out of favor in Cleveland - KC was not much better for him and now he is a free agent getting zero interest. Leonard has been typecast as a third down specialist. Woodhead seems to be the best bet to make a meaningful impact. Ryan Matthews sucks and is injury and fumble prone. Woodhead is a dynamic player - I hope he gets to play the Darren Sproles role - he should help out Rivers a great deal. Gerhart is stuck behind Peterson, hopefully he escapes Minnesota and is able to get meaningful carries in 2014 with a new team. Burkhead seems to be replacing Leonard's role in Cincinnati (if he makes the team). Line is behind Gerhart and Peterson and probably some black scrubs to make the roster in Minnesota.

The sad retirement of Brian Urlacher today reminds me of how much more quality there is now as far as White players, even if the overall numbers of Whites in the NFL has been holding steady for a long time. When we see overwhelmingly black classes going into Canton each year now, that's a reflection of how bereft the NFL was of star White players in the 1990s and early 2000s outside of quarterback. Urlacher is a cinch to break the long drought of White linebackers making the Hall of Fame, but linemen Jeff Saturday, Steven Hutchinson and Matt Birk have all retired since this offseason and all have a shot at the Hall.

There's no question the quality of White players is higher now than it's been at any time since the Caste System went into high gear circa 1985. Jaxvid has compared this to the late 1950s and 1960s in baseball, when most of the blacks who were integrating MLB were high caliber players. I think that's a good comparison, with of course the gigantic difference being that the media and various individuals and groups were constantly agitating on behalf of increasing the number of black baseball players -- and still are, 65 years later -- but the entire power structure is aligned against White football players and White athletes in general. Not to mention most of the fans and many White athletes themselves are eager Kool-Aid drinkers of the Big Lie of black athletic supremacy.

The much higher success rate of drafted White players over the past several years than black players (that's why those "Biggest Draft Busts" shows aren't updated anymore) illustrates the shrinking black pool of talent while the White talent pool is still very strong even after 30 years of extreme institutionalized discrimination in favor of blacks. And some undeniable headway has been made in making some fans at least partially aware of the Caste System.

Can the Caste System continue as is indefinitely, favoring a group that's but 1/8 of the population and whose urban ghetto feeding grounds continue to become more and more dysfunctional, while continuing to ignore the worthy White talent across the country? Maybe, maybe not, a lot depends on whether the country itself continues to slide into full blown Banana Republic status or not.

i looked Ray Holley up, dude's built like a LB!

View attachment 772

Didn't know where to post this. (Understandably) There is no specific thread for white running backs and no one has posted in the Seahawks forum in over seven months, because the team has been pretty much all black for several years?

Anyway, Holley was signed today by the Seahawks. It's sort of weird, as their must be someone in the organization that that has a soft spot for white players at caste spots. Team has signed a fair share of white rookies at caste positions, including a white CB last season. They might even draft them from time-to-time. Inevitably, however, they are usually quickly cut or (best case scenario) only allowed on the practice squad for a while, before Whigger Pete takes them out!

Seahawks sign RB Ray Holley, waive WR Justin Veltung (who is black?)

The Seahawks have signed Louisiana Tech rookie running back Ray Holley, and waived WR Justin Veltung to clear a roster spot. The Seahawks had showed some interest in the smaller, shifty running back way back in April and with RB Robert Turbin and OW (yeah I said it) Percy Harvin both ailing in training camp, Holley will get a look. He was the MVP for the small-school Casino Del Rey All-Star Game, with 12 rushes for 88 yards in front of NFL Scouts and execs.

Holley does not fit the profile as a Seattle running back, necessarily, weighing in at just 194 pounds, but he packs a punch for his size. He's also very strong, as Gil Brandt pointed out during the Pro Day circuit. Said Brandt:

Ray Holley RB (5-8, 194 pounds) - He ran 4.57 and 4.56 in the 40-yard dash and recorded a 37.5 inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-11 broad jump. He finished the short shuttle in 4.15 and the three-cone drill in 6.85. He recorded 27 strength lifts, which is unheard of because of his size. Holley is a guy that is small, but really quick and strong. He catches the ball well.

Here's a look at his running and receiving. Holley racked up over 1000 yards at Louisiana Tech last year - 740 yards on the ground and 324 through the air - and scored 8 touchdowns....

Here's an interview with the newest Seahawk - and as you can tell, he's a little muscle-hamster looking kind of dude. I like him already. Maybe I should do the football analyst/scout thing and compare him to another small white running back - let's say - Danny Woodhead? Sure, that works.

Happy to see this kid get a slight chance at making an nfl roster. He has his head on straight and would be a good fit on the Seahawks on even another teams roster if he gets cut. I like his power, speed and especially ability to cut on a dime.

If Ray Holley gets even in the rotation that will be a big win for us. We have so many White backs, usually at the lower levels that are around 5'8 to 5'11 that are around 200 pounds, Woodhead is the only one who has gotten a shot but he ran a 4.3. We have many his size that run closer to the 4.5 range but are still plenty fast and shifty like Holley. Chase Reynolds is like this but he has been on the practice squad I believe for the Rams.

Just checked BSPN for today's KFL (Kosher Football League) transactions and saw this:

Seattle: Waived RB Ray Holley. Waived/injured WR Greg Herd. Claimed WR Perez Ashford off waivers from New England. Signed TE Andrei Lintz.

Why did Wigger Pete and the other a$$holes that run this odious organization even bother signing the kid for only 2 or 3 days?

Any white person that supports this Marxist league in any form -- buys games tickets, or trading cards, or official league apparel -- is bat sh!t crazy. Don't put one stinking penny into the hands of these slime-bags.
