Looking forward to seeing Hillis and Woodhead run wild today. Hopefully Hillis can get some blocking. I am predicting 100 yard games for both, at least from scrimmage.

I have a question, is it usually reliable to watch these games online?

I usually go to a sports bar or this wing place but I am out of town with my family and there are only sports bars. I know its usually reliable with big college games, not so much the smaller ones but I remember the NFL being hard to find.

It's being reported that Hillis was seen driving away from the staduim and will not be active today. Wow- hard to believe that strep throat (on Friday) is going to keep a professional athlete out of a game two days later. Antibiotics should have knocked that out well before now.

If Hardesty does anything at all- anything- Hillis is, at best, part of a RBBC. This is disappointing, unbelievable news. I'm sorry- but he should be tougher than this. No one expected him to miss this game- coach, media, etc. So why is he?

I found it on Rotoworld. Very strange since all the reports I read were stating he would definitely play.

Peyton Hillis - RB - Browns

The Browns have ruled out Peyton Hillis for Week 3, meaning Montario Hardesty will draw the start against the Dolphins.

Damn that sucks about Peyton. I guess I will have to start Toby in his place alongside Woodhead

He's "on the outs" with Shurmur, as I reported in Peyton's thread.
Shurmur already wanted more Hardesty before Peyton got sick. The illness gave him the excuse he was looking for.

He fed him the ball 27 times last week. He can't hate him that much.

Well did he practice on Friday? some coaches are strict about not playing if you didn't practice on Friday. It could be a mixture of things. I would imagine Hillis is upset after being told they want the backup to get more carries after he just carried the team on his back for a win. Hopefully the sumos on the line don't overachieve for one of their own.

I know Joe Thomas said something about getting Mike Bell a 100 yards rushing in a game last year. I don't know what that was about, hopefully he likes Hillis more than Hardesty. Hopefully he doesn't play any harder than usual either. I know most linemen will block harder for a guy that gets the most out of their yards and doesn't go down after first contact. Hardesty is more of a powerback but doesnt break tackles like Hillis. If Joe Thomas plays like he usually does and the sumos elevate their play then Hardesty will be able to average 3+ ypc.

This has me nervous, I don't the coach views Hillis as having a unique skillset, probably sees him as a Lendale White type. If Hardesty shows any kind of ability then Hillis is going to be up for a 50/50 timeshare the next few games. Its going to be pretty hard to standout but the Dolphins defense hasn't been great this year. They've been awful from what I have seen. 3 ypc would be enough for people to consider Hardesty showing ability.

Ditto...LOL...trying to start an all white FF team gets difficult as the year goes on with the injuries. Hopefully, Toby can do something majic with his four carries today! And Woodhead is definitely due to break one.

Yeah hopefully he gets stuffed. I see them running alot of trick plays, like reverses with Cribbs and Little. Hardesty probably can't take 20+ carries.

This sounds like bad blood b/w the coach and Hillis. If he was seen driving away from the stadium then its obvious he came to the stadium to play.

Coaches don't like to think they can't win with a particular player. Its probably worse being that Hillis is a White runningback. He probably thinks he can out-coach the other team no matter what but he can't out-coach them with an elite rb, they won despite the playcalling. I don't think any player is above the team but Hillis should be able to miss a few practices for an illness, they need him, even if the coach doesn't see that he is elite. They don't have any depth.

well, i really hope he was simply too ill to play (hard to believe). we don't need our sole star back to be in the doghouse, especially since there's nothing that could have brought it on?!

Pats started 9 whites, Welker and Gronkowski are already killing the Bills

Welker and Daniels already have TDs

Welker is finally completely healthy and as much as the media and DWF's hate to admit it, he's even better without Randy Moss.

Welker has nearly 100 yards with 7 minutes left in the quarter... Gronk with another TD!
