What horrific games today. The Lions game was especially disappointing. Everyone was primed for an exciting shootout, and instead the first half especially resembled a Pop Warner game.
I want to like the Lions- nice story after being down so long, but they are one of the dirtiest teams I've ever seen. Schwartz is a juiced up psycho on the sidelines, and even Stafford isn't very likeable. Their game plan today was idiotic- even Pat Shurmur couldn't have been any more conservative and predictable. How many times will they force feed passes five yards across the middle to obese, unproductive TE Brandon Pettigrew? He is one of the worst TEs to ever play this game.
Calvin Johnson has proven that Chris Carter was right at least once in his life; "Megatron" is not an elite receiver. This guy disappears when the team needs him, and failed to beat mostly single coverage from the Packers' second (and sometimes third) corner. They didn't need Woodson to shut down this "superstar." The Lions desperately need some quality receivers for Stafford. But hey, they do have the incessantly recycled wonder Rasheed Davis now (who was also playing DB some today!)
As for Suh, what can I add to the comments from others? He's a total disgrace, and in an honest work environment, his presence would not be tolerated. Also, prior to his childish outburst (which was the turning point in the game), he was completely invisible on the field. The only time I even noticed him was when he savagely tore the helmet off a Packers' lineman, thereby keeping a drive alive, before he set up their TD with his assault later on. I don't see anything special at all about him, except a penchant for dirty play.
