I hope Vander Esch just pulled some muscles. Neck injuries can really disabilitate a player. Hope he is ok but they should keep him out the rest of the game to be safe.

Wish they would get Cooper Kupp more involved. He is way too talented to just go to the same receivers 90% of the time!

Glad to see the Rams win. Cowboys run defense looks to be an issue - they spent all their energy getting suspended pass rushers on their roster they did not address the interior.

Five minutes of highlights, none of our guys even made the stats page of the D for the Packers. Nice to see Thielen make some plays. Hopefully I can still stay at the level of casual fan who likes highlights other than that I honestly did not pay any attention to the Packers and only flipped thru the comments here after the early games.

Rogers is an all-time great but management and coaching are utterly caste.

I can sympathize with the members who are Packer fans. I think their strategy is to cram in a caste approach in the middle of the night like thieves do.

This is a jerry-rigged outfit. Having Aaron Rodgers allows them to go full hog caste without the usual repercussions of having a failed football team. See the (how did they just lose that game) the Lions for reference.

The glaring truth here is if you take Rodgers off this team they would likely be the worst team in the NFL. Having Rodgers run the team helps mask the overrated caste talents they keep shoveling in.

Yea once the new GM took over from Thompson it was all down hill. Geutencuck is pure caste cuck through and through. When watching highlights from Rodgers yesterday it’s obvious he still has a lot in the tank and his arm strength is tremendous. I think the current regime will run Rodgers out of town in the next year or two and put in the mediocre black quarterback because he is “their guy”. Its obvious Rodgers keeps that team afloat and once he is pushed out the Packers will be mediocre until the current regime is fired.

Injuries to key white players drives me crazy.

Bad enough Gunner wasn't around to help out Edelman but three likely season ending injuries put a pall on things. I remember I couldn't maintain my focus after Adam Thielen went down for a big spell last season with a bad hammy. I couldn't get up for games .

Tranquill looks to have suffered a broken ankle and I suspect he might not make it back this season. A dagger because he was on a star trajectory. Has a history of bad injuries (two ACL tears, one self inflicted).

Vander Esch has a broken collarbone. His injury miseries continue to pile up. I'm writing him off for now but if he does make it back all the better. No point getting continually let down.

His teammate TE Blake Jarwin probably suffered a torn ACL last night. Lights out for him this season if true.

Because the pickings are so slim out there any injuries that contribute to the NFL's white deprivation look is tough to take. There just aren't any replacements for these type of players.

Washington defensive coach is none other than CF favorite Jack Del Rio. He who giveth taketh away. On the one hand he started S Troy Apke and didn't yank him after a couple of wobbly moments. For the record Troy played well in my estimation. Fastest safety in the NFL. But rising young speedy LB Cole Holcomb never played a defensive snap. Relegated to special teams he was seen limping off the field but returned to his special teams fetch role. Reminds me of the Pack's Ty Summers, tremendous athletes buried on special teams. Now edge Ryan Kerrigan did have 2 sacks and a fumble recovery but he was on spot duty. DT Matt Ioannidis played more and I believe had one and a half sacks. Ohio State rookie DE Chase Young was cited for off sides twice but he did play well otherwise.

Washington along with New England were the two early games I watched. I thought OC Josh McDaniels had a good game plan. Rex Burkhead is perfect for this type of offense because he can be used in a variety of ways. He had a 7-32 stat line. Actually more 6-35 but garbage time loss. Julian had a 5-57 stat line but also added a nifty 23 yard run. Edge Chase Winovich finished with 6 overall tackles. He is going to be a star.

It looks like I will have to sign up for the sports package to see Joe Burrow and Sam Hubbard play this week because their game is on the NFL network Thursday night. I tried to call up for the NFL Red Zone yesterday but everybody and their mother must have been thinking the same thing so I bailed.

Now there are other cases unrelated to injuries etc.. I have been scouring internet newspapers to see if Andy Isabella has an obituary up but I couldn't find one. Huh. I could have sworn. Maybe I missed it. And he was so young.

6-8 weeks likely for LVE. Have to say, I expect him to retire fairly soon. I think the injuries are mounting, and it's tough to take, given his age and talent.

Interesting display of Jets idiocy. But we must bear in mind they are the Jets. My take on this Wk. 1 disaster is that the coaching staff will at some point have to defy the blacks in the locker room and play White players. I'm still waiting for Braxton Berrios to get on the field. He's the real deal and I think the coaches are well aware of it.

What happened to all the Rams white defensive players?

DL Morgan Fox gets to play. But this D is a far cry from S Eric Weddle and LB Clay Matthews from last season. Throw in a couple of white LBs who played including Troy Reeder who I thought might start this year.

Don has mentioned the Cooper Kupp usage decline in detail. Last night didn't instill confidence. Now as a quick summery Kupp had 4 straight 100 yard games early last season culminating in a huge game against the Bengals where he caught 10 balls for a whopping 220 yards. After that game his role quickly diminished into a short yard specialist for the rest of the season.

Did the locker room have a problem with Kupp's huge emergence? I don't think so but is worth asking. Watching the Rams last night most of the thrill is gone. Since that big Kupp game last year the Rams offense has become conservative and a bit constipated. And even though they won last night against a lousy overrated Cowboys team if you ask me, I don't think they are contenders anymore with this new dullish approach. What happened to the wing it high flying offense of yore that propelled them into a Super Bowl?

I think that McVay is a confused coach. Instead of riding the horse that brought his team to prominence he thinks the new grind it out team will improve his fortunes. I think not. They still seem a step behind the 49ers and Seattle might be a problem yet again.

Kupp had a great year last season and I will give it a few more games to see if they can open things up for him. But if they don't go back to a semblance of their old ways of a high flying offense I don't see this team going anywhere.

I read earlier today that Kupp had the most snaps of any of the Rams receivers last night and he was out there just about every time I looked other than that one early departure for one of their two TE alignments, so that's encouraging. It would be insane for the Rams not to use him all the time given his talent and the contract he just signed. Just gotta hope last night was just a sub-standard receiving game for him as the offense tried to hold onto the lead by mostly running the ball.

As far as the defense, Weddle and Matthews got old, Reeder has a shot at starting at some point this season, and Fox and Greg Gaines are rotating d-linemen. Reeder is currently listed by Our Lads as one of their two starting ILB but such didn't seem to be the case last night.

No matter that the NFL players and staff have ZERO positive tests week one. No matter that a positive test is meaningless unless you have several co-morbidities. Well said ICEPT, if only people at the grocery store would feel the same way. Ive cowardly given into pear pressure as many others have as well ( at least around here). Gas station 10% wear the mask grocery store/ restaurant 99% wear them. Its a giant psyop shitshow and they are good at what they do.
