Looks like the Vikings and Bucs both lost a starting sumo tackle to season ending injuries in the first half of their game.

Right now Wegher is not even listed on the team's depth chart.
I heard that he will featured on the TV program 'Undrafted'

He will make the team. You heard it here first. Not only that but they will find him playing time. He is that good.

On a side note, I'm looking forward to watching Tebow play tommorow. He probably won't play till the 2nd half but I hope he puts on a show. Love the guy.

Who are the running backs we might see actually run the ball this year?

Danny Woodhead - San Diego
Toby Gerhart - Jacksonville
Rex Burkhead - Cincinnati
Zach Zenner - Detroit
Brandon Wegher - Carolina
Zach Line - Minnesota
Tyler Varga - Indianapolis
Tyler Gafney - New England

Any others?

>Chase Reynolds for the Rams...last year he had a nice 38 yard run on a fake punt in the pre-season. Sure would be nice to see him get an opportunity...should easily be in the mix

Agreed...Wegher should make the Panthers team..as a freshman in the Orange Bowl(already mentioned) you could tell he was a legit NFL prospect..heck even Oklahoma was interested in his skills!

Burkhead is simply too dynamic to waste-away on the bench...the Bengals are realizing this

At age 30 this is going to be Woodhead's year! Still has the fast-twitch burst! Even got a sleek buzz-cut to replace the mop he had...

Gerhart needs to shock the world...he can be a 1,000 yard bell-cow...has to stay healthy! The Jags O-Line must improve too..didn't help Julius Thomas was lost for the season. dwf's need to know Hillis was not an anomoly in 2010'.

Looking forward seeing Tyler Varga tomorrow

Zach Zenner had a solid first outing...

Adam Thielen had 2 rec for 54 yards & TD

Rookie WR Jaxon Shipley had an electric 56 yard kickoff return after a free-kick/safety

Jameis Winston has pedestrian speed...to compare his running skills to Andrew Luck is laughable! The Bucs will probably start the season 2-6 & then ask Glennon to magically salvage the season...finish 7-9...then ask him to go back to the bench next season.

I was reading the comments section on yahoo sports article about Winstons poor performance. Not a lot of support for him out there.

Watching the some of the 49ers - Texans replay. Gabbert has not been great during the course of his career - he does look pretty solid tonight though. He's still just 25 years old, it will be interesting if is able to develop and resurrect his career.

Watched some of the Chiefs/Cardinals game. The Chiefs do have an impressive QB roster, Alex Smith, Chase Daniels, and Aaron Murray. All three played well. Jaxon Shipley returns kicks for the Cards, he looked very fast, but the blocking up front really sucked, and the Chiefs are a good coverage team.

One observation about Brandon Wehger with the Panthers. It's funny, when my son was playing RB, his biggest boosters and advocates were always the other black skill players and coaches. The white guys seemed to feel guilty about choosing him over black RBs even though he was much better. sCam Newton could actually be helpful in promoting Wehger's career. We'll see how it plays out.

The Chiefs also have Tyler Bray. Should be interesting to see if they give him a lot of playing time in the next few preseason games to see how his development is coming along.

Yeah FootballDad that is a good point. I don't come here to bash blacks, sure they produce more than their share of lunkheads and idiots, and frankly I avoid them best I can, but my ire is directed at the people who produce the Caste System and its propaganda. I have nothing but scorn for the white minstrel show that sports media is. Without those whores we could put the black racial politics back in its proper place, like subordinate to reality

I don't know if it's been remarked on, but the Cleveland Browns have 8 whites in the offensive starting lineup. That surprised me.

Yeah, the teams with at least 8 whites starting at this point are Cleveland, New England, Green Bay, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Dallas, and Minnesota. Houston only has 7 but they're worth rooting for also because of J.J. Watt.

Edit: Just checked out Ourlads again and Houston actually has 8.

Yes, but only two white defensive starters, Paul Kruger and Scott Solomon . Also almost no white depth on defense. I think Mike Reilly is all. They have Dylan Wynn and and Jamie Meder but it is possible neither makes the team.

I haven't watched any preseason NFL, and was contemplating skipping the season altogether. But, this thread reminds me that the league lets just enough guys through for us to root for and tune in. We've had some great receiving years the last few, but it looks like there might be a minor breakthrough at running back this year. As always, it will require a perfect storm of black injuries, then our guys taking advantage of opportunities, staying healthy, never fumbling, and even then they still might get screwed. I'll keep reading this site to get all my sports news. I appreciate that others can stomach ESPN, watching NFL preseason, reading bleacher report, and sifting through the nonsense to keep up with our guys.

Stupendously sad,but true.I predicted Fat Rex will cut Hogan over on the Buffalo Bills thread as he is a first rate DWF.Not only did Fat Rex cut Danny Woodhead,he also was slobbering the other night at the post game press conference about the "magic" Idler Arm Taylor brings to the game !!! Not only does Hogan measure out and even surpass all the other receivers on the roster when it comes to athletic skill drill measurables,he also proved beyond a shadow of a doubt last year that he should be a STARTING WR in the NFL,not on any roster bubble !!!! The only hope Hogan has is the WR coach going to bat for him----as he unashamedly does in the article cited---or for China Doll Goodwin to hurry up and get injured again which almost happened AGAIN the other night on a simple 1st half ending kickoff return kneel down from which he came up limping.

It is pretty remarkable that a proven commodity like Hogan has to go out and prove himself once again. If he gets cut, I hope he is able to find another job soon - the Patriots can use him for sure.

Regarding Taylor - He can't read the whole field, can't make all the required throws - he is basically an RB playing the position. If his first read isn't there he will run with it. I doubt he will complete 60% of his passes if he "wins" the job. I have seen it so many times before - dumb ass coach gets enthralled with a black QB because he can run, he will win a few games, defenses adjust as his weaknesses are exposed and than exploited. Ryan is not a great coach - the Bills will try to win with defense and a running game - that is all Fat Rex does.

Italian Stallion, Buffalo reminds me of Pittsburgh North - It seems their fan base has become a bunch of drunk white fans. Buffalo has steadily fielded coal black teams for some time with nothing to show for it yet they continue to buy into the same nonsense year after year. Am I right? It would be interesting to hear from someone who is local to the area on the climate of the fan base.

Watching the Eagles - Colts game.

Beau Allen looks pretty good, Barkley has been efficient. Unfortunately, turncoat caste stooge Mike Mayock is announcing the game and seems to be insinuating that Bair and Allen could be cut but make it with other teams. I am eagerly awaiting Tebow.

Bryan Bennett is starting the second half for the Colts.

Philadephia's 1st round pick in 2014 Marcus Smith looks pretty bad again. I hope he is cut.

Not really sure how to gauge Tebow's performance. He only completed 50% of his passes after starting hot. He did run one in from 7 yards out.

Barkley appeared to play really well. Not sure how the QB battle will play out.

Most of his passes were pretty solid - he was pressured quite a bit up the middle and it caused some passes to skip off the ground. The o-line didn't give him much time. His only really bad throw was the overthrow of GJ Kinne. His throwing motion is alot more compact and refined. It's hard to evaluate his game playing with the 2/3rd teamers. Hopefully he gets some time behind the Eagles 1st team line.

Barkley played pretty well himself, showing alot of growth and development. I honestly think he is just as good as Sanchez.

Your assessment is right on the money,Leonardfan.Buffalo IS now Pittsburgh North, especially after the promotion of the Majical Hiyella,Doug Whaley, who of course, got his start with Pittsburgh.Add to that mix "Director" of Scouting Kelvin "Affletes" Fisher, and Director of Pro Personnel Jim "Waynes Fontes Jr." Monos and we have a triumvirate of Afroletes First mavens with an agenda running things around here.Fat Rex fits in with these guys to a tee.I wasn't at all surprised when they hired him.My thinking was him or Hue Jackskin----who it turns out was their second choice !!!

These clowns will run this franchise further into the ground.Had to love this year's draft. With a glaring need on the offensive line and Jake Fisher still on the board at #50(our first pick due to the stupid Watkins trade last year),Whaley and crew took a CB who was in the very ROOM where Jametard Winston raped that girl. They then took a black Sumo lineman in the NEXT round,John Miller. The scouting reports on Miller said he was totally lacking in awareness and he scored pathetically low on the Wonderlic, yet all Fat Rex and Whaley talk about is how intelligent he is----give me a break !!! I can go on and on,but will save it for later posts.Sadly, this all started under two old time Caste Whores,Old Fuddy Duddy Nix,and Tommy Gailey.I'm so glad I joined this site---now I have a place to vent about this nonsense !!!!

P.S.>Leonardfan,I posted a thread titled "Rex Ryan is a First Rate DWF" over on the Buffalo Bills thread earlier today which focuses on the the inanity of the BS QB "competiton" as well as the inadequacies of Idler Arm Taylor.

Tyler Varga like Zach Zenner is on the wrong team. He had 3 rush attempts for 16 yards today. This kid has starting running back potential. Strong, fast, and elusive. It's similar for Rex Burkhead with the Bengals.

All of our young running backs either don't get drafted like Zenner and have to sign as free agents or they get drafted very low and go to teams that don't need them. It is so frustrating. Varga was a stud at Yale. He had 5 tds in one game. He is built like a mack trruck. If only he could get a fair chance like all of the rest of our guys. Watching these kids rot away and never play makes my blood boil.

It's frustrating but the Colts RB situation much like the Lions isn't that strong. The Colts have an old Frank Gore who can breakdown at any point and a bunch of no names. The Lions have the much hyped Abdullah to go along with an average black RB Bell. Hopefully they both get more playing time. It looks like Zenner is being groomed to be a 3rd down RB - Staying in for pass protection with the occasional screen pass - he did see a decent amount of playing time in their first game. I didn't see Varga take the field today until late in the game but hopefully his time increases.

I did catch your post in the Bills thread - I totally agree with your assessment on Fat Rex and the Buffalo franchise. I thought they had a decent shot at turning it around back when they draft Trent Edwards but then he got shell shocked due to the lack of protection. I think the Nix/Gailey regime came in after Jauron and basically started really blackening the team up. It's no surprise that Kevin Colbert disciple Doug "AA" Whaley is using the same mentality as the Steelers. I was hoping when the new ownership took over they would clean house but it I was wrong.

I am enjoying your posts so vent away.
