Good moves by both the Jets and Panthers. Carolina didn't give up too much and Darnold gets to get away from a jeering bunch of Gotham idiots. Both teams should concentrate solely on offensive line and tight ends, and to hell with defense this year. Non sumo, of course. You HAVE to protect the qb and his mental and physical health at all costs to even start building a team. Washington can now call themselves the Washington Next of Skins in honor of a permanent Snyder inheritance.

Now for some draft news. Atlanta is fielding lots of calls for Pick 4 (presumably DEN, NE, maaaybe WAS/CHI), hope they trade down. Marty Ice has at least 3-4 good years left, he takes care of his body like Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc. and is extremely smart and cerebral. Need pieces to support him in the fourth quarter of his career.

Also, despite restructuring Goff, rumor has it DET is open to taking a QB at 7 if the right one fell. Could see this as “sit Lance for two years” and then move on from Goff. Hope it’s smokescreen and Goff proves to be their answer (I think that’s the case).

Happy for Darnold, gets a fresh start. I’ll pay attention to the Panthers with him, McCaffrey, and Arnold, but I remain suspicious of Rhule for obvious reasons. Also, him replacing Bridgewater (presumably Wilson goes to the Jets) is a net gain of one less black quarterback starting. I think getting away from Gase and joining Joe Brady can unleash Darnold and turn his career around.

Holmes seems like a fair evaluator of talent, Rams have usually had one of the better rosters in the Holmes/McVay era, from stars all the way down to depth and preseason/practice squad guys. That’s what makes me cautiously optimistic and I think Holmes was a good hire. Anzalone winning a starting LB spot would be a good start. Bringing back Amendola, fixing the OL again (had a snowplow in 2018/19), and at least a few more depth guys would be a good first impression.

I would love to see Zach Zenner find a team to take a chance on him. He is just too talented to give it all up yet all we hear is crickets. His athletecism speaks for itself and with the little football he has played over the last several
years he has fresh legs and a young body. He is alot younger than his age and running backs take a beating. The Patriots would be great as I know he would get some carries. What other teams do you think might have an interest?

Still devastated about Ryan Nall in the death pit of the Bears. What a talent. What could have and should have been? Will he ever get out of Chicago?

My guess is that Zach is moving ahead on his plan to be a doctor. It's great that he had a plan, which indicates that he may have been aware to some extent of the Caste System. White running backs have been unwanted by the NFL since the mid 1980s. Christian McCaffrey is the once every 50 years exception, the same as cornerback. It's disgusting and incredibly racist but until others begin speaking out besides us here at CF, nothing is going to change.

Don, you are probably right about Zach. My how I wish he had signed in hometown Minnesota. Their starter is made of glass and Zach would surely be on the team with his talent and the game tape he has in the NFC North.

Zenner’s career in the NFL was frustrating. He flashed as a rookie and the suffered a major injury in 2015. He was then yanked around by the Lions for the next few seasons. The only mistake of his own doing was placing some sort of loyalty to the Lions rather than signing with the Vikings ( a topic that has been discussed numerous times here). I compared him to David Johhnson - they both played FCS during the same period and had similar careers. The NFL obviously preferred David Johnson and he received all the benefits of being a black player while Zenner was never given an opportunity. I do wish Z2K the best and reaches his goal of becoming an MD and feel he could of been a solid starting RB in the Nfl if not for the caste system.

Tyler Varga, Brandon Wegher, Chad Hall and Dalton Crossan all come to mind when thinking of screwd over white RBs from the mid 2010s.

Another NFL story that is not going away it looks like Watson has come out to try and say all of his antics with massage therapists were consensual. It’s not looking good for him as the number of women accusing him is around 22 now. He may not see the field for some if not all of the season. The SJWs might cannibalize him to an extent.

Bills are rumored to have interest in TE Jesse James. James was criminally underutilized with the Fatt Matt regime in Detroit. He is a very good blocking TE and is a quality receiving option. He seemed to be an ascending player at the position until his Lions stint. The Bills traded away TE Lee Smith - James would be a great replacement - a younger option with better receiving prowess and similar blocking ability.

Yes he had some personal demons but I’m surprised he didn’t try to catch on in another league like the XFL, Canadian, etc. All he needed was chance to get on the field but alas... can’t have white men showing up the blacks at “their” position. Big reason Peyton Hillis was pushed out so fast... he routinely emasculated black defenders.

Excellent post and your spot on in your analysis of both of these very talented running backs. I will add Zach Zenner, Toby Gerhart and Ryan Nall but to be honest the list is endless.

All jokes aside this could be the end of his productive career, it will interesting to see if he gets hall of fame consideration. Lynn Swann is in from the Steelers dynasty of the 70's and he never had the stats to make the hall but had similar playoff moments of excellence.

Edelman is retiring. Spectacular career with many highlights. He should be seriously considered for the Hall of Fame. His post season stats are superb. He was also an all-time great punt returner the first several years of his career.

I doubt Edelman will make the Hall, the main reason being the four year racial apprenticeship he had to serve. It wasn't until his fifth season that he saw the field regularly as a receiver, which obviously held back his numbers from where they should have been. Being on multiple Super Bowl winners and great individual post-season performances may make him a sentimental favorite with the veterans committee way down the road and he might finally get in that way, as John Lynch finally did (who also served a long racial apprenticeship).

Same thing with Ed McCaffrey and Jordy Nelson. Both were great receivers who had to serve prolonged racial apprenticeships that retarded their career numbers, which cost them any chance at being selected to the Hall. Wes Welker's another. Racial apprenticeships are why almost no White players make it to Canton anymore besides quarterbacks and the occasional o-lineman.

Edelman proved the "greasy hips" theory is largely bunk. He seamlessly transitioned to cornerback in an emergency role and wasn't a glaring black hole in the Pats defense for a half season or so he filled in for the role.

I remember him playing cornerback- he played quite admirably. He looked like he could have carved out a career as a nickelback.

Heck of a career for Edelman; looking at his numbers, he didn’t play early as he was behind Welker on the depth chart (although he clearly could have played outside) but once he began starting he never looked back. Only thing holding him back from a couple more 1,000 yard + seasons were his injuries and the suspension. Great career! Great football player.
