Geno Smiff has somehow managed to get signed again. This time by the Chargers. The Chargers have also been heavily connected to Lamar Jackson. The also have Oafdale Jones on the roster behind Philip Rivers. I don't really want to see Bosa end up on a team with a black quarterback replacing Rivers at some point.

So the Chargers and Packers both are stocking up on black flops to back up their White superstar at QB. They're both teams I wouldn't have expected to go that route. Maybe in the case of the Chargers it's because of their black head coach, but who can understand the thinking process taking place in Green Bay, what with the purging of Jordy, Janis and Abbrederis the past two seasons. Both teams are screwed if their starting QB gets hurt, and both may be anyway. It's hard to see the Packers in particular as anything but continuing their decline.

Yup GBs window has come and gone. My guess is Guntenkunt has an affletic draft. He's already purged both white WRs and brought in Wilkerson to replace Lowery.

Compton should end up being the starter.

Titans signed ILB Will Compton, formerly of the Redskins. The Titans lost stud ILB Avery Williams to the Jets in free agency. Wesley Woodyard is still in the building, but second-year ILB Jayon Brown and veteran Compton figure to compete for the other starting job next to Woodyard. Compton is recovering from a Lisfranc injury suffered in November.

They cut Max McCaffrey, as well.......
They’ve gone from one of my top 5 teams to an afterthought......

And don’t forget about Rip.....He had a game or two where he had several carries the other year, with much success......Then forgot about............I believe the Packers took a swing at Ross Scheuerman and cut him.....He could be a great 3rd down back in this league......

Simply amazing. . . not.

Andy Slater of WINZ reports felony charges against Robby Anderson have been dropped. Arrested for an incident in January, Anderson was originally charged with harm to a public servant/family, reckless driving, eluding police, and resisting arrest. All but the misdemeanor reckless driving charge were dropped because of "insufficient evidence." It is a fantastic development for Anderson, but it does not change the fact he has had two run-ins with the law in as many offseasons. He needs to stay on the straight and narrow moving forward.

They must think he's one of the Kennedys.

Had to chuckle to myself seeing this. Yeah, the Packers select Kupp for the re-do, and then let him rot on the bench for five years. "Son, you'll be replacing Jeff Janis, know your place."

Packers take Cooper Kupp in CBS Sports 2017 redraft
Cooper Kupp was the Rams leading receiver in 2017.

The Green Bay Packers did not have a first-round draft pick last year as they traded it to the Cleveland Browns. That led to the Packers taking Kevin King at No. 33 overall and King played in nine games before being shut down for the rest of the season due to a shoulder injury. King has plenty of time to be an elite cornerback, but CBS Sports believes if the Packers could do it all over again, they would have gone in a different direction. John Breech of CBS Sports did a 2017 redraft and he believes the Packers would have stayed at No. 29 overall and they would have drafted wide receiver, Cooper Kupp.

"With Jordy Nelson out in Green Bay, the Packers decide to take the closest thing to Jordy Nelson available in the draft," Breech wrote.

At the time, there were no talks of Nelson or Randall Cobb being ousted from the Packers. In fact, Nelson, who won Comeback Player of the Year in 2016, was coming off a season where he registered 97 receptions, 1,257 yards and 14 touchdowns. And at the start of the 2017 season, Nelson led the NFL in touchdowns with six in the first five games. But when Aaron Rodgers went down with a collarbone injury, Nelson's numbers took a major dip and that was one of the few reasons the Packers decided to move on from him.

As for Kupp, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round and had a very strong rookie campaign. Kupp finished the year with 62 receptions, 869 yards and five touchdowns. He led the Rams in receiving yards, he was third in receiving touchdowns and Todd Gurleywas the only Rams player to have more receptions than him. Would Kupp have been a strong pick for the Packers in the first round? Probably, but the Packers needed help in more areas which led to them trading down to draft King in the second round.

Big trade -- this should impact Hogan, Edelman and other potential White receivers on the Patriots favorably, at least as of now without knowing if they plan on making other moves, and it shouldn't hurt Cooper Kupp's usage as they used him mostly in the slot last year. The Rams had been trying to trade for Odell Beckham so it appears they've decided on Cooks as the next best thing.

Rams acquired WR Brandin Cooks and a fourth-round pick from the Patriots in exchange for first- and sixth-round picks. The out-of-nowhere move lands the Rams their Sammy Watkins replacement, and also takes them out of the running for Odell Beckham. Now armed with the Nos. 23 and 31 picks, perhaps the Pats will make a play for the Giants' superstar. It's the second straight offseason Cooks has been dealt, both times for a first-rounder. He remained boom-or-bust in the Patriots' crowded receiver corps last season but posted a 65/1,082/7 line while averaging a career-high 16.6 yards per catch. Headed into the final year of his rookie contract, Cooks is still only 24. Fighting for targets with Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp while downgrading from Tom Brady to Jared Goff, Cooks might be best treated as a WR3 in offseason drafts.

Huge trade. Should bode well for Riley McCarron as well!

I’ll have to wait until after the draft to see what the Patriots end up doing with the additional 1st rounder they acquired in this trade.

They will probably end up drafting eraserhead.

Great trade by the Pats!

This means that Hogan and Edelman become #1A and #1B at WR.

Riley McCarron and Cody Hollister move up the pecking order at WR.

The Pats must know that Gronk will be back and won’t be trading him as reports have suggested.

Maybe they’ll use the pick to get a white OT in the draft?

All the buzz is now about the Patriots trading up to get one of the QBs. I don't really know if that is a good idea with all the holes on the roster on OL and all over the defensive side of the ball. I could make the argument for a QB like Kyle Lauletta, Mike White or even Mason Rudolph (if he falls) in the 2nd round but selling out for a QB would be a dicey proposition. Given the Pats disappointing track record in the draft I am not overly optimistic this will work out in our favor.

The Patriots have two first round draft picks now, so they can take a QB like Mason Rudolph and a tackle, but their drafts are disappointing every year so who knows what direction they'll go.

Yep - I am thinking that they are going to target Jackson - that is my worst case scenario. McDaniels is probably the coach in waiting and he probably views Jackson as his project the same way that he did with Tebow (although Jackson will never be criticized whereas Tebow endured unnecessary criticism his whole career). Not trying to be a downer or sound too much like a broken record but their drafting track record speaks for itself.

I would love to see them draft LVE, Harrison Phillips, Kolton Miller and Lauletta in the first and 2nd rounds - fills a bunch of holes. Miller has been compared favorable to Solder due to their same massive frames and exceptional athleticism.

The Patriots should target Kolton Miller to replace Solder.

They need help with their pass rush. Athletic defensive tackle Taven Bryan would be someone they should consider also.

If they stay healthy, Rex Burkhead and Chris Hogan could both have big seasons, at least as things stand now.

Chris Hogan the big fantasy winner of Brandin Cooks trade

Provided he can stay healthy, Edelman has the potential to offer solid PPR value. He’s currently coming off the board as a late-round pick, though fantasy drafters should expect his ADP to steadily rise throughout the offseason. But he was already in that range even with Cooks in-house. Really, Hogan is the biggest winner out of the New England wideouts. He goes from essentially a deep-league-only option to a player who is worthy of WR3 consideration. Let’s not forget that over the first five weeks of the 2017 season only A.J. Green, DeAndre Hopkins, and Stefon Diggs had more fantasy points than Hogan.

I would love to see Chris Hogan lead the Pats in receiving yards. It will probably be Edelman but I hope Hogan can at least battle for that honor. It's gonna be fun to watch this team in the fall despite a few of our guys leaving.

The big issue with the Pats will be health. If Brady at 40-41 can put together another solid year and if Gronk, Hogan, Burkhead, and Edelman can all remain healthy for at least 75% of the time (big if based on history), the Pats would be an incredible team to watch on offense.

Bob Griffin has been signed by the Ravens and seems to have the inside track for the backup job.

Joe Flacco better not get hurt or Harbaugh could be looking for work on Black Monday follow the season.http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7406/robert-griffin-iii

Pats sign Luke Bowanko, who can play OT and G/C. They now have 8 white lineman and 5 non-whites. Hopefully, one of the white tackles (Jelks, Croston, Tobin, or Bowanko) can win Solder’s LT position.

It looks as if NFL.com has disimproved their website. It shows in their coverage of the draft. They've made it more confusing, more difficult to use and less simple. Why change something that was perfectly good in the first place?

Whenever I see something like this it makes me wonder if an "affirmative action" employee had something to do with it.

Good ole “not a racist” Elway with another “great” free agent signing: the black kicker Marquette King lol

In a display of utter cuckolded infatuation that would make the most die hard Tiger supporters blush, Local broncos beat writer Mike Klis put out a series of 16, yes 16, tweets over the last 24 hours updating Broncos nation on the status of the progress and negotiations for a kicker, and treating the reader to his inner most fantasy ....

Imagine Marquette King averaging 50 yards a punt at Mile High and doing his Buckin' Bronco dance after every one of them. #9sports

Browns backup qb Kevin Hogan seeking a trade. Hopefully he can land somewhere where there isn't a lot of heavy competition. Carolina looks like a good landing spot. He can re-unite with C-Mac his Stanford teammate. Always rooting for sCam to get btfo'ed of a game.
