Just thinking here. Given the sad state of our young men and women (thousands of unhappy, unmarried women), would it be such a bad thing for a good man to have more than one wife at least for certain time until this sad situation corrects itself?

TomIron361. Are you or have you ever been married? Being married to one woman can be a handful at times. I can't imagine having more than one wife. Besides, I love my wife and I can't ever imagine being unfaithful to her. I know plenty of happily married young and old couples where I live and I'm thankful to see many of the young couples I know are having plenty of children as well. Two, three and four children! I am a father of five.
The reason there are so many unhappy men and women is that they are looking in all the wrong places for happiness. Happiness is a short lived emotion. We should be looking for Joy in our lives, not just happiness.
Sorry, we're getting way of topic.
Perhaps this is better suited for the "Happy Hour" thread.

Good points Carolina Speed. Marriage is about finding a good woman and reaching a level of maturity and gratitude for what you have. If you are grateful for what you have been blessed with, then joy grows out of that. There's alot of difficult times and hard work to be sure, but that's the same with life in general, not just marriage. Misery often grows out of not being thankful for what you have and not realizing what you've been blessed with, and instead just focusing on what you do not have.

When will we have #theyearofthewhiterunningback? And not just McCaffrey, but multiple white running backs with RB1 or RB2 positions in the league so that no matter who has a bye, there will be plenty of palefaces toting the rock each week.

I have been going back and forth on Twitter with some black folks. They really believe their own press. They can’t see what is actually going on - it’s actually comical. They refer to any good white athlete as an outlier. I posted the Ryan Nall / David Montgomery numbers - one of the other posters came back with the typical leftist response of but he got no skillzzz.

I guess they fail to see how many bad black players there are. Hard to fault them as they have the collective victim mentality and are great lemmings for the left. They are given an upper hand in every facet of society and still think they are the oppressed ones.

Colts agreed to terms with Jacoby Brissett on a new two-year, $30 million contract.
The extension includes $20 million guaranteed at signing after the sides agreed to rip up the final year of Brissett's old deal. It's a nice payday for the Colts' starting quarterback. Brissett completed fewer than 60 percent of his passes and averaged just 6.6 yards per attempt as the team's starter in 2017, but this year's team boasts a vastly improved offensive line with several more competent playmakers at wide receiver, tight end and running back.

I would believe so. Luck told them and announced his retirement 1 week before the season. If he had done it earlier in the offseason they may have made a play at obtaining Nick Foles.
 
From the snarkiness of the last two posts, I find it incredulous that you doubt the all-world abilities of Jacoby "BBQ" Brissett!! He will soon make the Colts faithful forget all about Luck, that Peyton Manning guy and even Johnny Unitas! Just go visit BSPN's "The Undefeated" (mentioned elsewhere here on CF) and you'll find out that all of those cracka QB's will go by the wayside soon!

Thats good news, even if it doesn’t go anywhere. It shows he hasn't given up and there is some interest out there. If he keeps working out and the normal RB injuries and or suspensions happen, he might end up in a much better place. Detroits run game sucks for whoever is back, plus its Detroit.
 
Nick Foles placed on IR with designation to return, so he's out at least 8 weeks. Jax traded a fifth round draft pick for Josh Dobbs to back up Minshew. This would seem to give Dobbs a better chance to be an NFL starter at some point than he would have had with Pittsburgh.

Hopefully Minshew continues his impressive play. Dobbs could never have that kind of performance. The knock on Minshew was that he is a "system QB/one year wonder". Murray was a system QB/One year wonder as was Haskins. It sounds like the Jaguars at this point will be content with keeping Minshew on the field. Dobbs is a sub 60% erratic passer so I won't expect much from him. It's too bad about Foles, he seems to be forever snake bitten.

probably close to literally retarded. 85 IQ? That's probably generous. I think that would be the ceiling. 70 to 75 is a likely to be a lot closer to the truth. Those of us who are "woke" to these things tend to look at averages. Somewhere around half are below average, and football players are seldom above the average on anything having to do with intelligence. "Smart" football coaches and players are usually morons in everyday life.

All that said, this is just as likely to be some THOT trying to cash in. This is a sick society. It's hard to tell.
