Gerhart is just unfortunate. Good guy, and a good talent, but just unlucky to be a good athlete in a caste position, and to be flitted about the league with teams that don't care to use him properly, in addition to his injury. Sad story. Maybe he'll bounce back, who knows? He's yet young enough. Hillis is still young enough to do something if given the chance. Hester and even Leonard are young enough to make noise.
It's sad because any of the above-named "nobodies" are vastly superior to a great many Black runningbacks who are given chance after chance, yet prove nothing but their own mediocrity with each chance they get.
The White guys named above will never be given the chances that Blacks are given.
Another sad aspect of the current Gerhart situation is that racist DWFs and Blacks will use it as "evidence" that White cannot play runningback at the NFL level, which is just ridiculous.
"See, he got his chance!"
Um, no he didn't.
He got a few token, alleged "starts" and was fed the ball a few times, and then not given the ball anymore.
That's sort of like giving Beethoven three minutes to write a symphony while he's got a fever, and then saying he has no talent when he can't do it, and Schlomo Weinstein Rosenberg Goldstein (yeah, exactly, who the f*ck is THAT?) should be declared a superior musician even though his only talent is nagging and complaining and being fat and short.
Who DID get a chance is Geno Smith, who is given Sunday after Sunday after Sunday after Sunday after Sunday to prove his VAST stupidity and incompetence.
But you know what?
Next Sunday, he'll be throwing the ball (and getting pick sixed) again.
Gerhart won't.
That's the difference and DWFs are too racist and stupid to see their own hypocrisy.
