what's the deal with Danny Amendola? just one catch?
It's an improvement over his previous zero-catch performances. At least he was on the field for a fairly significant amount of snaps. Most of those were running plays, and many of the others he was the third read. He did his job, did a good job of running interference for Gronk, and was usually open from the plays that I saw.

Yeah, he was open across the middle several times, but Brady didn’t look his way. His 7 yard catch was a critical 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] down conversion and he also drew an interference call downfield.

Since the season began (and during the off-season), there were talks of Amendola being traded, cut, or released. Instead, it was Kembrell Thompkins who was released before the Bengals game (since claimed by Oakland) and Aaron Dobson has barely played, then was a healthy scratch for 2 weeks, then had a rumor surface that he “mouthed offâ€￾ the McDaniels, then was re-activated against the Bengals and only played a handful of snaps in garbage time. Danny isn’t going anywhere. I’d love to see him have a big game ASAP. It wasn’t too long ago that this guy was uncoverable in the passing game and electrifying in the return game. Three seasons ago, he lead the NFL in all-purpose yards.

As for the game tonight, it would be great to see Plantation Pete's crew get torched by Cousins.

I guess nobody's watching MNF. Amazing that the Redskins apparently had no idea that Russell Wilson runs the zone read play.

Been flipping back and forth. The Blackhawks just make me nauseous.

Good to see Kerrigan with a sack and a big TD pass from Cousins.

Russell Wilson and his fans make me nauseous. You follow the twitter feed and these morons are calling him Elite. The commentators keeps talking about how he is 8-0 vs Brees, Brady and the Mannings. Then they have him talk about it and of course, the arrogant n***** makes it sound like he accomplished some great feat in his career. I've never seen a game manager get so much praise. You would think the Trent Dilfer when playing for the 2000 Ravens who had the best defense in football would have gotten so much praise. Of course not, I wouldn't have expected it as a game manager, but flash foward to now, blacks game managers are praised. Especially one who has under 1000 yards passing after 5 weeks. In the 2nd half, I really hope the Redskins defense hurts Wilson and shatter his bubble.

QB head to head record is the most retarded thing on earth. Opposing QBs are never on the field against each other. A QB can play the game of his life and still lose because his defense sucks ass.

I remember Jake Delhomme in Super Bowl 38 had the best losing effort in Super Bowl history. He outplayed Brady on that day but it meant nothing because his defense gave up the last second field goal.

Wigger pete's undisciplined bunch of Zulus strike again. Most undisciplined team in the league.

Stupid for nobody to cover Lynch out of the backfield, making the QB look like the hero there.

They didn't throw a flag on the holding call during that play either. They also did not penalize him when he clearly stepped over the line with both feet because his back shoulder did not cross the line :der:

Cousins did play well against an admittedly very good defense. He made some great throws and played smart. I hope this game will be a confidence boost for him moving forward.

I hope so, considering any mistakes he does happen to make whatsoever will be magnified and make room for more talk of going back(ward) to the likes of Griffin. Cousins is doing great except for last week. He deserves to stay in there and start, even when Griffin is "healthy", IMO.

A more recent example of this would be Washington State's loss to Cal last Saturday. Washington State QB Connor Halliday broke the NCAA single game record for passing yards (734), a record which stood for 25 years.

I don't watch Vikings much anymore, but I was watching the Washington/Seattle game with a 17 year old kid (daughter's boyfriend) and last night he pointed out how the Vikings ran a spread offense with Teddy Bridgewater, but a typical NFL pro style offense with Ponder despite Ponder being faster (4.65 to 4.78). How good would Russell Wilson be if he never ran the spread? The coach never expecting or calling for the QB to run? How good would QBs like Ponder be if their running ability was used more often by the coaching staff?

Geno Smith missed a team meeting last weekend because he was unaware of the timezone difference between the East and the West coast.

The obvious caste perspective of hallidays amazing performance is that it was not plastered all over bspn. If a black quarterback had done it they would still be talking about it. It's bogus that Halliday gets the system qb label when every black quarterback is a system quarterback. You would also figure halliday would be getting notice more in the draft process. After all isn't he the type of qb they want in the spread the defense out and throw the ball offenses in today's nfl?

I think his performance against Seattle showed that Cousins is the real deal.

Every quarterback has an off game now and then, as Cousins did recently, but he bounced back and passed well even though the Redskins running game was not doing well.

Apparently Toby Gerhart sprained his foot on his second carry in Sunday's game. You got to wonder why he continued to play at all. He played just 10 snaps but did play and get a couple of carries as well as a catch AFTER he sprained his foot - or reinjured it (not sure).

Interesting factoid: Kyle Orton has more 300 yard passing games than EJ Manuel.

That's right, in 14 starts EJ Manuel has yet to go over 300 yards passing.

Did anybody see this? Two vatos attacked a fellow 49er fan after they pointed out an empty stall in the washroom at the new Candlestick Park. I always thought when teams moved into new buildings they priced out brawling scum.....http://www.cbsnews.com/news/brothers-charged-with-felonies-in-bathroom-fight-at-49ers-game/

And because that Vatos knew that not a single white man in the room (outside of the cousin) would stop these scumbags, the scumbags did what they did. Sad state of white America.

Colts v Texans: I prefer to see the Colts win. The Texans aren't going anywhere with Ryan Fitzpatrick, so I'd like to see the Mallett or Savage era begin ASAP. That said, hopefully Watt and Cushing can have big games, but not at the expense of Andrew Luck.

Fitzpatrick is clearly just a place holder. I am interested to see how obrien is going to develop both mallet and savage. Savage from what I recall played well during the preseason. On a somewhat unrelated note I hope hackenberg can survive at psu the next season and a half with a first round draft grade. Obrien left the most talented qb in the county behind and franklin has done nothing to help the kid take the next step in year two.
