Great work and catch by Edelman and actually surprising to hear Collinsworth say he's the hardest working player on every play in the NFL. Actually good to hear that from him.

C'mon Gronk! a drop when wide open?! Dang!

...and another he should have held onto. Are his best days behind him? I hope not. He does not seem like the pre-injury Gronk. He would have held onto that 3rd down pass in the past.

That little light in Ryan's cranium seems to have gone out. He told the press that Smiff will be his starter next week. LOL

As far as White stars and starters, Dalton has made some great throws too tonight.

Good to see Gronk wrecking havoc! The Beatdown in Beantown so far! What a difference a week makes!

The Bengals have been talked up as maybe the best team in the AFC(however LT-Whitworth is a stud!)...This should bring them down to earth...As Dalton throws a TD on Revis pedestrian back-up CB Logan Ryan.

Riley Cooper with his great athleticism on the TD catch...could have been a DB if he wanted to be...

Andrew Luck is the ultimate dual-threat QB! It's really ashame Gerhart is not playing for the Colts w his ex college team mates (Luck, Fleener, Whalen)

Travis Kelcie doing the Ric Flair was the Best!

Glennon could start for the NY Jets easily once McCown comes back for the Bucs

Congrats to Peyton Manning's 500th + TD Passing...hard to pathom the Broncos only start 3 whites (Manning, Welker, Wolfe) out of 22

Yes Carolina Speed...good idea! The the NFL gets it's deserved criticism it really starts long before with HS recruiting services...I too have also mentioned Summer Camp participation.

If Ryan has a light in his head it's a flickering refrigerator light.

Brady, though not the giant he once was, showed that he's not dead yet.

I'll stand up for Gerhart. And I'm not the kind of person who'll defend a genuine failure. Ponder is a genuine failure. He's a bust, no excuses. But Gerhart has shown that he can get it done. He's averaged over 4 yards per rush in his career. We've seen what he's capable of. He's struggling now because of his team.

Geno Smiff was classic Geno Smiff.

Popped on over to Gayhoo sports for a moment and came across the weekly "winners and losers" article. I was struck by the obvious double-standard in these two paragraphs. Carolina's win was ALL because of sCam Newton, while the Colts' win was because of defense, not Andrew Luck.......

Cam Newton: Newton never gets enough credit, for whatever reason, but the Carolina Panthers' quarterback deserves plenty for his team's win on Sunday.

The Panthers trailed the Chicago Bears 21-7 early, and the seven points came on a fluky punt return by Philly Brown. Carolina was on a two-game losing streak and was beat up with injuries and Greg Hardy's suspension. That includes Newton, because who knows how much his rib and ankle injuries are really affecting him.
When the Panthers trailed, Newton set the tone for the comeback with a knockdown block on Bears linebacker Lance Briggs.

Newton had 255 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning score to tight end Greg Olsen. He played with a lot of poise when the Panthers didn't have many other options. He wasn't the only reason Carolina came back to win 31-24, of course, but he led the way despite his own injuries, when things looked bleak. That's what a leader does.
Colts defense: You'll probably see the "Andrew Luck for MVP" train get more steam this week, and that's fair. But make no mistake, the Indianapolis Colts' defense deserves the game ball for the win against the Baltimore Ravens.
Indianapolis, taking advantage of a Ravens line that was without injured left tackle Eugene Monroe, rushed quarterback Joe Flacco all day. The biggest play came when the Ravens went for it deep in Colts territory on fourth-and-1, and defensive back Sergio Brown sacked him.
Indianapolis is known as a franchise that has Luck and hopes the defense is good enough to support him. If the Colts' defense continues to play as well as it did Sunday, in that big 20-13 win against a hot Ravens team, that perception may change and we might have to start thinking of the Colts as a real AFC contender.

It was great to see the Patriots get back on track. I think their newest configuration (Solder, Connolly, Stork, Wendell, and Vollmer) at OL made all the difference and I hope this all-white crew remains healthy throughout. Gronkowski, who’s looked very mortal this season, was playing like his old self (brash, reckless, strong, impossible to cover, etc) against the all-African Bengals…

CAPTION: Gronk Scores 4th TD

Edelman didn’t have a great statistical night, but only because Brady missed him on several long bombs and the need to pass wasn’t there in the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] half. Amendola picked up a key first down in the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] half, which was a nice confidence-booster. I really hope Danny starts contributing at some point, but it’s difficult to do so when you’re only on the field during running plays. I think he’ll have some role to play going forward. The utilization of the newly-acquired black TE (Tim Wright) is disconcerting, as Wright does seem to have some talent and could eat into receptions for Gronk, Edelman, Amendola, and Develin.

Defensively, the Pats looked much improved without former 1[SUP]st[/SUP] round bust, Dont’a Hightower. It would be great to see Chris White get some snaps at LB and hopefully Nate Ebner at safety (with McCourty’s injury) when he returns from injury next week.

This drubbing was no fluke, as the Bengals are one of the few quality defenses in the league, with great pass rushers, good LB’s, and decent DB’s. The Pats have the Bills, Jets, and Bears going forward, so after those games they could be 6-2 before hosting Denver at home on 11/2.

No mention of Bjoern werners fantastic day in that article either. Newton is an avg qb, cutler and the bears turnovers are what cost them that game more than anything

Yes, Werner had 6 tackles and 2 sacks and was instrumental in the Colts' win over the Ravens.

Geno Smith missed a team meeting last weekend because he was unaware of the timezone difference between the East and the West coast.

I can actually understand that, according to him his phone automatically adjusted to PST but Rex Ryan runs his team meetings in EST regardless of where they actually take place.

This is why GMT is what people should use.

Another good OLB who didn't get mentioned was Conner Barwin. He had 4 tackles (2 for a loss), 2 sacks, 1 pass defensed and 2 QB hits.
