Welker was so close in 2011 only needed like a 150 or so more yards to beat Calvin Jonson, did lead for receptions though. Also second in 2009 to andre johnson would sure be nice if Nelson holds up the pace. I guess Steve Largent, maybe

Largent of course. How did I forget about Steve? When he retired he was THE ALL TIME LEADER in many WR categories.

Yeah Welker would have had it in 2011. Im convinced that somebody got orders to make sure that didnt happen. Brady was targeting Wes in 2011 like Wes should be targeted. Thats to say he should be the QBs first look on EVERY passing down. Wes was on track to catch 200 passes in 2011, but the Pats chose to lose games rather than keep feeding him the ball.

They keep saying his name to. Can't wait until he fails.

I noticed that too. They must have mentioned Sewerwater more than any other injured player in history.

After a very obvious propaganda commercial Ponder runs one in for a TD. He may not be a Hall Of Fame caliber QB, but hes damn sure better than any negro.

And they had that little pro day segment on him in order to explain away why he dropped all the way to 32. And they compared him to Rogers during that segment.

Rogers with his first INT of the season. But at least it was to Harrison Smith.

That was Flynn.

damn now Jordy's numbers are going to suffer because they dominated. He could have easily doubled the 66 yards, which is enough to average to maintain a 1k season, but I want him to finish number 1, too many times in recent years we came close. Julio Jones isn't far behind him. Steve Smith as well but not sure if he will keep up the pace at an old age, who knows with Flacco though, one fluke play last week.

no knock against Flynn but Id like to see Harrison Smith get another int, he will be tied for 1 at 3, but some other players might catch up later this weekend. 4 would definitely keep him place.

Both team's leading receivers were white
Jordy nelson 1 rec 66 yards TD
Adam Thielen 4 rec 57 yards
Also
Packers Jeff Janis 2 rec 16 yards
Vikings Chase Ford 3 rec 31 yards

Hopefully as the year progresses Janis will get more playing time.

THats a great question. I bet Sports Historian will know. Id guess Lance Allworth off the top of my head.

I don't know without looking it up but Lance Alworth was counted an AFL player. His best year yardage-wise was 1965, over 1600 yards in a 14 game season.

I checked Lance Alworth's stats and he led both the AFL and NFL in pass receiving yardage three times, 1965, 1966, and 1968.

Steve Largent led the NFL in receiving yardage twice, 1979 and 1985.

Damn if the Vikings didn't make losing look easy last night. Poor Ponder. Wasn't that long ago it was all grins and giggles for him as a rookie hopeful. Is the Packer's pass rush that fearsome or did the Viking O-Line conspire in silent agreement to punish Ponder for his poor play? He needs a new team, if one will have him after this game. I still say he makes a good back-up at least.

Harrison Smith got turned around on the Jordy td bomb, and it looked like it pissed him off enough to play inspired the rest of the game.

The Packers are fun to watch when they're rolling.

Another uncompetitive, prime-time blowout for the NFL. This time, the lopsided affair hurt Jordy Nelson’s numbers (although he has plenty of games left), but helped guys like Janis and Theilen. It would be nice to see these guys get more playing time, but I doubt it, especially in the case of Janis, who is behind Nelson, Cobb, Boykin, and Adams on the depth chart. Theilen might have earned some additional snaps going forward behind Patterson (who really fell off after Week 1), the has-been Greg Jennings, and Jarius Wright…

Of course, it was nice to see Jordy with a 66 yard TD…

As for the remaining game this week, the following outcomes would be preferable…

Panthers-Bears. The Newton-lead Panthers continue to struggle against Chicago, making way for a benching in favor of Derek Anderson. Greg Olsen's stats skyrocket with Anderson at the helm.

Texans-Cowboys. Houston defeats Dallas and Watt, Cushing, Reed, Crick, and Co. continue to dominate. Although, big receiving games for Witten and Beasley would be nice.

Bills-Lions. The Kyle Orton-lead Bills defeat the Lions, racking up huge offensive yardage.

Ravens-Colts. The Colts are slightly whiter, especially with Indy expected to start DE Björn Werner and safety Colt Anderson (starting in place of roid-fiend, LaRon Landry). A good game for TE’s Coby Fleener and Owen Daniels would be the only other bright spots. A Colts win and a career-ending injury to the mudhsark-impregnating, mean-spirited, loud-mouth little bastard, Steve Smith, would be cool with me.

Jacksonville-Pittsburgh. I’m hoping for the best game of Gerhart’s career (and hopefully Borltes can play well, too) against this legendary Caste team. Success for Heath Miller would be great, too.

Saints-Bucs. Blah. I’d rather watch an Adam Sandler movie or attend an ACLU conference than watch this ineptitude-laden, all-Chocolate matchup. “Zulu Drew” does seem to be throwing more to reserve TE, Josh Hill, which is great. Another good game for QB Mike Glennon would make Lovie look even more stupid than he looks.

Falcons-Giants. I wholeheartedly-detest the Giants, and the Falcons feature Biermann and up-and-coming superstar LB, Paul Worrilow. Offensively, I suppose I’ll be rooting for the Falcons reserve TE, Bear Pascoe and that the “Hillis Curse” finally strikes down the blacks who are stealing his playing time.

Rams-Eagles. Of course, let’s hope the Eagles rebound and a great game by Riley Cooper would be the best possible outcome. Celek and Ertz, also. I’m still waiting for some injuries to Philly’s DL/LB corps, which would produce more white starters (Bair, Matthews, Allen, Brahman, Hart). The Rams are down to Laurinaitis on defense and their new QB, the little-known Austin Davis, is an interesting player.

Browns-Titans. Not too much excitement here, folks. TE Jordan Cameron is set to return from injury for Cleveland. WR Kris Durham has yet to play in Tennessee, because their other receivers are so amazing (not). Another good game from Browns OLB, Paul Kruger, would be nice. Likewise for former Iowa product, DT Karl Klug…wait, no, he’s barely seen the field looking like a future star DT as a rookie in 2011.

Cardinals-Broncos. I despise the 20/22 black Broncos, so a Cardinals win would be fine. A good game for Welker would be great, but Manning has too many of his black friends (Sanders, J. Thomas, D. Thomas, Ball) to feed. A good game from Jacob Tamme would be nice, but not anticipated. Likewise with Arizona’s TE corps (Niklas, Carlson, Housler). Honestly, an injury to Manning is the only thing that’ll stop this evil team from succeeding. I'm not rooting for that scenario, but it would'nt break by heart...

Chargers-Jets. Without Woodhead, the only reason to care about SD is their defense (Weddle, Johnson, Lissimore). A 100+ yard game from Jet WR, Eric Decker, would be nice, but not expected with the unathletic, inaccurate dullard, Geno Smith, at the helm.

Chiefs-49ers. Travis Kelce is a budding star at TE, one of the fastest-accelerating big guys you’ll ever see. Of course, with a delicate offensive genius like Reid at the helm, Kelce is not always on the field. Smart move, fatso. It would be nice to see Dan Skuta continue to shine on defense for SF.

Patriots-Bengals. The Pats have traditionally struggled against the Dalton-lead Bengals. If there was ever a time to “right the ship” after a humiliating loss, this would be the perfect moment. The undefeated Bengals look good, but I can envision NE responding in a big way. 100+ yard games from both Edelman and Gronkowski would be awesome, with Amendola finally getting involved with Dobson and Thompkins on the outs with the coaching staff. Ryan Wendell, who became their best offensive lineman after Mankins was traded, should return from injury.

Seahawks-Redskins. [Loud snoring sound] Cousins, TE Zack Miller, and OLB Ryan Kerrigan are the only reasons to care.

Great summary of the week ahead Thrashen.

Been in the great USA on a holiday and got back to England on Wednesday, obviously doomed my Pats by watching them in a casino whilst i was out there hammered by the Chiefs of all teams!

Hoping for a rebound by the Pats on Sunday and a good performance by the Eagles against the ever darkening Rams. Also be good to see a solid game by the texans defense but also some productive snaps for Beasley, feel he can become a great weapon for Tony Romo if given the chance

Impressed by the amount of guys who seem to love Nelson saying if only we had Jordy at our team etc in the casino where i was in watching the game. Though most were Patriots fans so i guess they are a bit more caste aware than most fans.

I like to see Rivers do well as he's been constantly sniped at by media over the years. Several times he's been on the losing side in playoff games due his receivers not catching easy passes or, as in one famous incident against the Pats in 2006, because of the mistakes of a teammate (ie Marion McGee). Yet the next day the media would question his ability or even blamed him and make unfavourable comparisons with other QBs. They even snipe at him because he has so many kids with his wife!

Rivers has been nothing short of brilliant this season, the best quarterback in the league considering what he has to work with. In a league filled with under-rated White players, Rivers is as under-rated as any of them. He's rarely had much at receiver other than TE Antonio Gates yet puts up sterling numbers year after year. Still only 32, hopefully we have a number of years left to enjoy his play.

It's pathetic that Rivers has gotten a false bad rap to the point where when arrogant players are brought up his name is often mentioned. The guy doesn't even swear, he's just an intense competitor; the NFL doesn't have a better role model in all respects than Philip Rivers.

Great summary of this week's upcoming games. To me the most important thing right now is for Toby Gerhart to start having better games. There have been a number of breakthrough White players at "taboo" positions in recent years -- wide receiver, tight end, defensive end, linebacker and safety -- but running back ranks up there with cornerback as the most sacred blacks-only-need-apply positions. If a former Doak Walker winner and Heisman Trophy runner-up is seen as a bust, think how easy it will be to keep running back all but one hundred percent non-White for many years to come.

After much initial negative press after being signed by Jacksonville, Gerhart surprisingly received a lot of favorable coverage in the media and among fantasy football sites. Now everyone, and I mean everyone, in the media and the fantasy industry is down on him, but it will only take a couple of good games for the current negativity to again flip, given the always short attention span of the captive DWF herd.

There's a perception that Toby is a bit "soft," going back to his apparently not standing up at all for himself when his new defensive "teammates" on the Vikings were hammering him as hard as they could in training camp of his rookie season, plus he's been nicked up a fair amount of the time. He's soft-spoken but that doesn't mean he's soft and I don't think he is, but he's already on a short leash. This isn't Thomas Jones, a first round draft pick given half a decade to come around, or Trent "2 yards per carry" Richardson still getting a lot of touches. Despite the failings of his offensive line, currently weak receiving corps and a rookie quarterback, Gerhart needs to find a way to start being noticeably more productive.

Luke Kuechly has been on close up three times on fox coverage in the opening defensive drive but didn't actually do anything, even the media love this guy, him and jj watt will dominate this league for years to come :)

It's revenge of the WSTDs - Magaros recovered a blocked punt for a TD and Colt Anderson recovered a muffed punt :arms:

It's just a shame he's got "numbskull Newton" as a QB. Should Newton be benched, the Panthers would be a fairly white friendly team.

So Jimmy Graham beats LaVonte David in coverage, but the commentators claim Dane Fletcher doesn't have the 'hops' to defend that play... Apparently David doesn't either, because he was the one in coverage... That is about the 3rd time they said something negative toward Fletch, as though Mason Foster is some super star LB, that would be making a world of difference...:icon_rolleyes:
