You know, I'm beginning to really dislike Adam Schefter. Ever since the Ray Rice story broke (and now the Adrian Peterson situation), this sanctimonious little bitch has been in the studio in various segments, delivering sharp criticism of the NFL from his Ivory tower and lecturing everyone about domestic violence and child abuse. Who the hell appointed him the moral authority on any of this? Get off your high high horse and just report on all the inside stuff. To be honest, I never really liked him anyway.

Mort is a much better man in that regard, I've always enjoyed his reporting. He's my favorite personality on that wretched network, and quite possibly the only one.

Looks like Riley Cooper is the fifth mouth to feed behind McCoy, Sproles, Ertz and Maclin, which likely means noticeably less production than last year. Not that he played well with two dropped passes including one in the endzone, and an offsides penalty.

Foles wasn't sharp as he was off-target on a number of intermediate and long passes. His stats were padded a lot by Sprole's long runs on dump-off passes. Way too much handing off the ball and dump-off passes for my taste, I expected the Philly offense to be more dynamic. The Eagles were fortunate to escape with a win unless their gameplan now consists of counting on Sproles to have 150 yards receiving from dump-off passes each week.

As successful as Foles was last year, I still think Matt Barkley can run Chip Kelly's offense better.

Eagles really picked on weak lb corp for the Colts. Sproles was a matchup nightmare. Werner played decent better than Walden who lined up against 3rd stringer and still no sack.

Foles finished with 331 yards and an Eagles victory.

It's very frustrating. Riley Cooper had another subpar game. Gerhart has done nothing, Hartline and Amendola as well. I know these guys can't have 100 yard games every week but one damn catch for 8 yards! What is going on here?

The graphic on MSN for the Eagles winning last night shows 5 white Philly players celebrating.

The media highlights, previews and interviews make the NFL seem even blacker than it really is.

In a league with so many mediocre to downright terrible defensive players and running backs, it's a shame that more White players don't get a chance. Most likely the Whites will be better anyway. At the very least, they can be equally as crappy as the Black players!

Whatever happened to that Brian Leonard and Peyton Hillis and Jacob Hester guy...

The NFL is like a lot of professional sports (and life) where Black people have just been conditioned to believe that they deserve to have a job because they're Black and not because they actually deserve the job.

Nameless, faceless runningbacks league-wide who do nothing aren't questioned; it's just assumed that they're the best person for the job. Meanwhile any White player only got his job in a caste position because of the good 'ol boy network.

Isn't that the narrative?

The league is pushing the quarterback position into that territory now, where they want people in general to believe that it's a job for Black people only, even though Whites have demonstrated that they are not only equal but superior in most regards for the quarterback position, and the same can be said about several other jobs in football.

As successful as Foles was last year, I still think Matt Barkley can run Chip Kelly's offense better.

Something to keep in mind is that Cooper started the year off in dreadful fashion last season (93 receiving yards through 5 games), too, before exploding in Week #6 for 120 yards. He was universally criticized for his play, which was exacerbated by his drunken “thought crime” at a Kenny Chesney concert prior to the season. Kelly stuck with him, and he finished the season with 47 catches, 835 yards, 8 TDs, and got a nice contract in the off-season. Also, it’s not as if Jeremy Maclin is lighting the word on fire through 2 games, though he’s obviously been better than Cooper. I think Riley will be fine through 16 games.

I agree that the Philly offense has been a disappointment. We criticize black QB’s for “dinking and dunking,” and with the exception of a few longer passes per game (usually to Ertz), that’s exactly what Foles is doing. As teams begin to key on Sproles and McCoy out of the backfield, Foles will be forced to throw longer routes, hopefully benefitting Cooper, Ertz, and Celek.

Defensively, a few injuries to Philly’s black starters could really lighten up this atrocious unit with the likes of Bair, Allen, Matthews, Hart, Braman, and Maragos. [Fingers crossed]

I like Andrew Luck, but with the signing of the languid, permanently-ineffective Hakeen Nicks (and benching of Griff Whalen), the Colts have really gone full-on Caste this season. At least Whalen play a bit returning kicks/punts. As was the case the past 2 seasons, the speedy TE, Coby Fleener, barely plays behind the chubby, cement-footed, never-dynamic “starter,” Dwayne Allen. With Angerer gone, at least DE Björn Werner now starts on this putrid defense. I’d like to see them miss the playoffs.

With 2 weeks gone, I’m really enjoying the 0-2 starts by Caste squads like the Saints, Bucs, Giants, and Raiders. Early-season loses by Seattle, Pittsburgh, NYJ, and San Francisco were satisfying, also. Now let’s hope that Elway’s Black Bolshevik Broncos start losing ASAP.

Cooper's slow start last year was because Vick was the starting QB. As soon as Foles began playing Cooper caught fire. But it is indeed a long season and the Eagles won't go far by continuing to dump the ball off to old man Sproles. I wasn't impressed by their offense last night.

With only his 6th reception of the year, TE Jason Witten (885 rec.), moves past Keenan McCardell for 16th on the all time receiving list. Next up, Torry Holt, 920. Would like to see Witten get into the top 10 before his career is over, but it will be a slow process if Dallas stops utilizing his talent!

The top active white reception leaders:

16. Witten, 885
25. Welker, 841
117. Clark, 505, I thought Clark retired?
141. H. Miller, 473
207. Stokley, 397, still listed as active?
210. G. Olsen. 395, Moves past Owen Daniels fro 210th
213. O. Daniels, 394, Any news on him?

You need 367 recs. to crack the top 250. Next to make the list is: to the best of my knowledge.

Zach Miller, 326
Jordy Nelson, 320
Brian Hartline, 266
Rob Gronkowski, 234
Eric Decker, 231
Edelman, 186
Pitta, 135

I hate that the likes of Ryan Spadola was cut as well as several other great white WR's. We need more young white WR's to fill the shoes of Nelson, Decker, Hartline, etc. as they are fast approaching their 30's!

I have been focusing a lot my attention on MLB and the PGA. Who are some of the under 25 white WR's currently on NFL teams. I know about Dallas' Cole Beasley. Who else?

Forgot about Brent Celek and Danny Amendola

Celek, 315 career receptions
Amendola, 253

Any others?

He's with the Ravens now, scored both the Ravens TDs on Thursday.

Jon Gruden called Eagles center Jason Kelce athletic on more than one occasion last night. Darren Sproles needs to buy Kelce a dinner after the way Kelce motored downfield to make pivotal blocks on a few of those runs by Sproles. Fun to watch!
