Many years ago they started 4-0 and then they imploded. There is no way the Chargers are getting their butts handed to them next week by Buffalo after defeating the defending world champs. Rivers was lights out against what may be the top defense in the league.
 
Jordy Nelson caught nine passes for 209 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's 31-24 Week 2 win over the Jets.


Nelson was unstoppable as he set a career-high in yardage, making the incredibly difficult catches we've grown accustomed to seeing from him. The highlight was a double-move that went for an 80-yard touchdown and left Dee Milliner shook. Nelson now gets three straight games against the NFC North's wretched pass defenses, and there aren't many players in fantasy we'd rather own right now. Nelson has piled up 30 targets from Aaron Rodgers through two weeks.
 
Kaepernick walks up to celebrating players after a pick and shoves them and decides to say something he probably shouldn't have.
 
Julian Edelman caught six-of-seven targets for 81 yards and a touchdown against the Vikings Week 2.

Edelman's seven targets paced the Patriots, and his 81 yards made up 54 percent of Tom Brady's total output. Edelman has established himself as the top receiver in New England, and looks to be well on his way to another big season. He is a WR2 in PPR formats.
 
Conte out for the game.. Sure hope its nothing serious. What a spectacular INT that was.
 
He's out with a shoulder injury.
I wonder if it's from him falling on it while making the great interception?

Bills have a season every few years where they look great in September and sputter out after their first loss. In 2008 they started 4-0 and lost 9 of their last 12 games. In 2011 they started 4-1 and lost 9 of their last 11 games.
 
49er secondary is garbage. top two receivers hobbled, old man Holmes is the 3rd option, and probably the slowest TE in the league in Bennett, yet Cutler still carving them up!!

Heh, almost forgot, Krapernick with a fumble too..
 
I went hiking today, about an hour north of NYC, so I didn't get to watch any NFL today. I have to say, it felt really good. Sure I would have loved to watch Jordy toast "my" local Jets squad but that couldn't compare to being out in nature on a beautiful day. There happened to be a local Oktoberfest at the park we were at so it really turned out to be a great day.

In terms of the games and after scanning the box scores, it seems to be another lackluster week. Sure Jordy was great, Julian produced and Kerrigan had 4 sacks but alot of our usual guys have been average. I guess across the board the NFL has been average so far. Maybe even downright boring. Some of these games, about half at least, seem unwatchable.

Maybe the biggest take-aways from week 2 are RGScreen going down and the Sewerhawks and 49ers losing. Makes me smile....
 
That int by Conte was amazing. I went to bed before the game ended so it was nice to see the 49ers and their toucan nosed black quarterback blow the game.

it was also great to see rivers attack that loud mouthed buffoon Sherman head on.

Yes, it was certainly another bittersweet week in the NFL. Some good performances but Hartline was almost invisible, Gerhart has rushed for 50 yards on 25 carries through 2 games, Amendola is invisible, and Jordan Cameron didn't even have a catch. I just can't believe that Gerhart is doing so poorly.

Yes that's unfortunate. I checked the box score though and the Jags only ran 7 times and it was all Gerhart. No attempts by anyone else. I think it's obvious the problems are elsewhere and they knew they could not run the ball.

Kirk Cousins once again came in and played great. How they can continue to keep him at number 2 is incredible even for the caste system.

Decker and Nelson are no 1 receivers and playing well. Olsen is the go to guy in Carolina, Edelman is a FF point machine, the review below that says he is a WR2 in PPR leagues is smoking crack. He's an easy number 1.

During the Lions/Carolina game they mentioned how Luke Kuechly looked like Clark Kent off the field but played like Superman on the field. Then they showed a graphic with a picture of him next to the guy that played the last Superman (wearing glasses like Clark Kent). And switched it to one where he was wearing a Superman outfit. Their praise for him was very high, which is easy to do--he's all over the field making plays, and nice to hear.
 
Before the Eagles-Colts game, 5 out of 6 League Leaders are white.

I haven't watched a game this year but my father-in-law had the Skins v. Jags game on when I went to his house yesterday. I did see RG3 get hurt and then saw Cousins come in to score nothing but TDs.

Was it me or are the Jags one of the more white friendly teams this year?
 
I think we can get ready to see the cynicism of the NFL in all its glory. After Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson, and with their usual go-to guy hurt yet again, I predict that The System will give us a lot of Jordy Nelson, J.J. Watt and Luke Keuchly for the next couple of weeks. It's already happening, and it won't last; just long enough for the woman and child beating stories to fade away.

Yes, aside from Kevin Curtis, Drew Bennett, and Brian Hartline eclipsing 200 yards in recent years, Wes Welker also had 16 catches, 217 yards, and 2 touchdowns against the Bills back in 2011.
