Saints should hire hometown icon, Peyton Manning, as head coach. Did I say that?
Brees did for Payton what Brady did for The Genius.
I don't think he wanted to go through a rebuild as it probably would have caused further burnout. He has been rumored to be jumping ship for a few years now. The Cowboys and Giants were speculated out loud by the media but Dallas would end in a disaster IMO as Jones is the poster boy for meddling owners, even in Jersey the Mara family while being more behind the scenes they have been rumored for meddling in the Eli Manning benching and starting again drama which all but sealed the end of Ben McAdoo.Sean Payton retiring.

Kamara showed his true colors when Hill was under center for the Saints. Nice to see the Tom iron rule play out once again.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laissez_les_bons_temps_roulerThe Saints were a bottom to middle tier team at best until Drew Brees came to elevate the franchise from mediocrity. Funny how once Brees left the team was in disarray once again.
Perennial Chiefs scapegoat, Daniel Sorensen, signs a one year contract with the Saints.
Andy Dalton signed by the Saints.
If the Saints opt to draft a quarterback, the QB room will really be crowded. Jamis Winston, Andy Dalton, Blake Bortles and Ian Book are on the books as of now. Throw out one game of Taysom Hill's and he's proven he can perform and win. Too bad he has been caste aside.
I would even posit that Winston wasn’t that great across the five games he played. Sure several touchdowns, which is fine, but he averaged less than 200 yards a game if I recall. And a chunk of his production game in the Packers opening egg of a game.It will be interesting. Sean Payton had a very qb friendly system. I doubt Winston replicates his success last year much like Bridgewater was exposed once he left the Saints.
Both Hill and Book were Payton picks. Hill being sent to TE shows what the new regime thinks of him. Book and Bortles are probably the odd men out. Dalton was a solid signing.
It looks like the top fullback in the draft is headed to the saints to unfortunately compete with Adam Prentice for
The fullback position. It’s pretty bad when a inferior athlete like Heyward was drafted by the Steelers and receiving rave reviews while a beast like Chenal probably won’t make the league.https://247sports.com/college/wisco...arns-NFL-minicamp-opportunity--187449312/Amp/
