I'll kick this thread off with great news for Cardinal fans, but bad news for Trout:

Dexter Fowler traded from STL to the Angels. The Cardinals had to eat almost the whole contract to find anyone willing to take this jerk. And of course MLB ass-kissers say it "solidifies" LA's OF which is of course laughable. It give the Angels a "black" hole in the lineup and this jerk was signed by STL to play CF then they found out he sucks and isn't capable so they had to move him to RF. Also, many say STL signed him because at the time they were getting a lot of heat for not having any blacks on the roster, so he was awarded a huge contract.

ANAHEIM -- The Angels solidified their outfield on Thursday, trading for Cardinals outfielder Dexter Fowler in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. The Cardinals are also sending the Halos $12.75 million as part of the deal, so the Angels are on the hook for only $1.75 million of Fowler's salary in 2021.

yep his room brightening smile got him an $85 million contract:

"I think there's a couple things we really liked, and No. 1, the guy," Angels general manager Perry Minasian said. "It's an outstanding human being. It's a high-energy player, which over a 162-game season is really important. And this guy brings that smile, that energy on a daily basis and we still think he can play. We think there's a lot left in the tank. He had a down year last year and he's the first one to tell you that. But the homework we've done. He's put a ton of work in this offseason."

not to worry, Fowler will be released by mid June, just lip service as baseball exposes weaknesses in a ruthless manner

Fowler is a below average ball player - He hit .300 once and that was playing his home games in Coors field. He's 34 years old and has never been anything more than average at best and mediocre most of the time. Looking forward to baseball coming back - last year was a cheap joke - half a season due to a "pandemic".

Yeah actually sounds like a great trade from Angels view. Cardinals are still on the hook for 90 percent of this bums salary and as @wokewhite232 said he'll like be cut.

Another trade passing two mediocre non-whites between teams. At least the Rangers acquired a potential starting catcher in Jonah Heim. Khris Davis is no doubt and HGH user - 5'11" 205 lb players don't just jump from 27 HRs to 42 the next season especially when being a sub .250 hitter for his career. Andrus has been an average offensive player during his whole career but a good defensive player - it's ok to be "latino" and be a liability offensively as long as the defense is there.

Rangers acquired C Jonah Heim, DH Khris Davis and RHP Dane Acker from the Athletics for SS Elvis Andrus, C Aramis Garcia and cash considerations.

Heim was overshadowed by fellow catching prospect Sean Murphy in Oakland, but will get an opportunity to establish himself as an everyday option at the major-league level in Texas. The 25-year-old switch-hitting backstop registered a pedestrian .211/.268/.211 batting line across 41 plate appearances in 13 games at the major-league level last season. He posted an impressive .310/.385/.477 triple-slash line with nine round-trippers across 327 plate appearances between Double-A and Triple-A back in 2019. He'll compete with Jose Trevino for the Rangers' starting catching job this spring. Fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues should keep him on their radar screens.

Lol whatever I guess we just keep losing since no one has enough cajones to say enough is enough?! Can't expect people of high profile to stand tough, how can the average Joe.

Just like everything else - each of these teams is mandated by their handler - the MLB to adhere to the anti-white viewpoint being pushed. Just like every globohomo million/billion dollar corporation has a full out anti-white communist HR department to push the anti-white agenda. I could care less about this guy getting canned as the Mariners have not been a real white friendly organization.

On a side not I am getting my notes together for the 2021 season. I'll probably be waiting until early March to get my MLB preview written up - it just doesn't feel right to post it before Spring Training starts.

Hey the pitcher’s and catchers have reported so spring training has already started in my book!

He made comments on a Japanese player's poor attempts at learning English, made a similar comment about a latino ballplayer's English and another remark about keeping a promising prospect (who is white) in the minors early in the season so the Mariners don't have to fulfill contractual obligations (pretty sure this is a fairly common practice in the MLB). So yes totally tame in a non-pussified society. Here is the story from BSPN. This Jeff Passan guy seems like a real SJW Beta type:

Dexter Fowler had 3 good seasons from 2015 to 2017. I give Fowler a 25% chance of hitting over .250 with 15 or more HR in 2021. But most likely he will struggle with another weak season at the plate. As mentioned above, the Angels are paying him only $1.75 million, so it's not much of a risk on their part.

Fowler is an over the hill veteran who is a below average offensive player and the Angels think he will be an assett. That’s some idiotic “logic”. They have to keep as many blacks in baseball as possible is the only reasonable answer I can come up with.

Speaking of ridiculous contracts for overrated players. Here's one: After just playing 143 games in two years, San Diego SS Fernando Tatis Jr. signed a 340 million dollar contract over 14 years. That's 24.2 million per season. He's just 22 years old. So by age 25 he'll have pocketed almost 100 million dollars.
Compare that to Mike Trout by age 25 and over 800 games later, who is the greatest player of this generation, had not signed to anywhere near that amount and had earned just 44 million dollars.
An article in The LA Times yesterday, states that Tatis can now get on with becoming the "Face" of baseball.

Tatis isn't over-rated. He's only 22 and in his first 2 seasons put up an OPS of .969 and .937. That's a tremendous amount of offensive productivity from the hardest defensive position to play on the field. He also has a stolen base success ratio of 3:1. Tatis is on pace to be one of the best players in the game. The Padres were probably smart to lock him in for 14 years. I expect Tatis to provide more value than he's being paid. He's that good. Of course, there is injury risk, but that is omnipresent in baseball.

"The face of baseball" is a silly comment. Especially from the LA Times as their >80% white Dodgers are the best team in baseball and the world's best player plays center field in Orange County for the Angles.

If you poll baseball fans regarding who the best short stop in the game is right now, the top four answers will be Lindor, Trea Turner, Seager, and Tatis. But Tatis is much younger than those guys.

I don't think 143 games over two seasons merits a $340 million contract. Especially when you compare him to the likes of Trout. Speaking of stolen bases, Trout's SB success rate was 91% or 9:1. In his first season he led the league in Runs, SB and OPS+ and WAR. He was ROY also and finished second in the MVP.
He Tatis, is receiving a huge contract at this point in career and way above what Trout was getting.
Tatis is not that good, yet. Is my point. He's overrated IMO for this kind of contract. If not then Trout should have received $600 million.

Trout (now age 29) signed a 12 year $427 million contract at age 27. Trout averages over $35 million a year. Tatis will be paid under $25 million /yr for the whole 14 years. This is why this is a good deal for the Padres, because Tatis will probably deserve Trout money in 3 or 4 years, but will be locked into earning less.

Tatis basically traded money for security by signing a 14 year deal at age 22. Since most of the money is guaranteed he essentially purchased insurance against being injured in the next 3 to 4 years. And who knows what inflation will be over the next 14 years? ...another advantage for the Padres.

Tatis looks like the real deal, but has only played 143 games. MLB history is littered with flash in the pan players. That’s why guys like Trout don’t get the big contracts until they have proven, consistent production. It’s entirely possible that teams get a scouting report on Tatis and his production plummets. Or, he could do a Vlad Guerrero, Jr. and get fat and lazy. Way to early too give a huge, long term contract IMO.

I'd agree and say way too early to throw that kind of money at such a young player even if he has been tearing it up in line limited time. But it's also The Padres and theyve been lacking Star Power since they had Adrian Gonzalez .

I understand the reasoning. However, it's a gamble either way. If he turns out to be a bust, he only hit .277 last year, the Padres have wasted a lot of money. If he turns into another Mike Trout then it's a bargain. Not too many Mike Trout's come along very often. Like once every 25-30 years. We shall see?

Tatis finished last season in a 3 way tie for 15th place in Wins Above Replacement with 2.5. He also had a .937 OPS with 17 HR. His productivity was fine last year. Normalized to a 162 game season that translates to 6.75 wins a season.

Any time someone talks about a young baseball player's future I always assume there is a 50% chance he won't get any better. Even if Tatis were to not improve, he will still earn his money delivering 6.75 additional wins a season.
