Jim Goad was a unique and very talented writer who took up for the White working class and was always worth a read. He died recently from cancer at the age of 65. This is Greg Johnson's tribute to him for those who did and didn't know Jim Goad. RIP:

That is sad news to discover. I read Jim a great deal during his Taki Mag days. He was a hilarious writer that never produced a dull article. An Everyman on The Right, who could provide a much needed distraction from all of the academic essays from conservative or libertarian eggheads. His cultural critiques were scathing but enjoyable reads. I’ll miss him, as well as Z-Man (died too young also) and Fred Reed who also were great at “telling it like it is” in simple terms.

RIP to the great Jim Goad.

Yeah I've read some Jim Goad but not lately.

Exactly…he currently makes $18m per year from CBS in addition to his long term capital gains on his investments from his prior NFL and endorsement earnings. His estimated net worth is $70m to $80m. This was pure stupidity.

If this group is serious about launching a new party, they have to get to work starting now, if they want to field a presidential candidate who is on the ballot in many if not all states in '28 along with a slate of candidates for Congress and state legislatures. Talking about starting a party is the easy part; everything from ballot access to financing is wildly tilted against "third" parties and in favor of the 160 year old uniparty stranglehold.

After Trump's disgusting betrayal of all his promises, many will say that voting for any party is a waste of time, a view widely held even before the Trump era, but anything is an improvement over the uniparty. Would be great to see them stir things up and continue the delegitimization of the uniparty and the Permanent Regime in general.

Given the insane decision to go to war with Iran for purely Israeli interests one would think Trump and his followers would get punished in the fall elections.

On the other hand the amount of national politicians of either side that have American interests first is vanishingly small.

I used to think voting was a waste but my current thinking is that if someone seems like they might actually be against this BS I’d give them a shot.

I just can’t see getting invested in it emotionally anymore because the likelihood of a genuine alternative to what we have presently seems so low.

Meh on the Trump hate. On one issue I am glad he is losing the Middle East, I've wanted that since 1990 when I actually was delusional that after the Cold War we in America could be a regular country. For you young folks America was awesome for a poor hick boy like myself, sorry for messing it up. If a Democratic crook was losing the ME as Trump is today just imagine the bull crap from the conservative blow hards about "kicking butt" and how the conservatives could "kick butt." But Nixon could go to China and Trump the Golden Don can lose the ME. And if any of you gents really want to be confused by my rantings I'll up myself and say Russia won the Cold War.
