This video is excellent. One thing that gives me hope is that Diners are packed and so are Antique Stores. Not just with middle aged and older people but with so many young teenagers. They love classic Americana. Gen Z gives me hope. This is the place to meet a good
old fashioned woman too in my opinion. No luck yet but they are out there. I dream of a classic traditional wife. Trad Wife Videos on youtube are also very popular. If we want to save America we must remember what made America the best country in the world. We may not change the demographics but we can create small safe communities to carry on our culture and traditions.

Following Woodstock in the summer of 1969, another huge concert was held in northern California in December of that year at the Altamont Speedway. Around 300,000 are alleged to have attended. I am always skeptical of announced crowd figures but there was unarguably a huge number of people there.

Believe it or not the Hell's Angels provided security for the event and an Angel stabbed a black man to death near the stage as the Rolling Stones were performing. However the black guy had a gun and was waving it in a threatening way and the Angels did the right thing in taking him down.

Altamont came be known as the anti-Woodstock concert because of its bad vibes, while others proclaimed it the "end of the '60s" in the simplistic way decades and eras are defined. The first video shows the death of the black man while the second one shows some of the mayhem as the Stones, fittingly, were trying to sing Sympathy for the Devil.

Yep, that was a bad scene. The peak of the hippie counter-culture probably died after that. There was also chaos while Jefferson Airplane was on stage between the crowd and Hell's Angels. Marty Balin of the Airplane got knocked out by one the Angels.

I've often heard that there was a lot of bad acid taken that day, definitely dark clouds overhung that concert. A documentary about the Hell's Angels I watched claimed they put a bounty on Mick Jagger's head because the Stones didn't pay the Angels what they thought they had agreed on for their services. The Stones eventually did pay, because after all who would want the Hell's Angels mad at you.

Such a different time, Hell's Angels providing security for the Rolling Stones, inconceivable today.
