There must be berries on some trees nearby.I saw a good half-dozen robins flying around my yard today. I can't recall ever seeing them this early. And it's not like it's close to spring-like weather as we have a healthy snowpack and today finally marks the end of a long period of sub-freezing temps. Anyone else seeing robins, or recall ever seeing them in late January/early February? They seem to be about three weeks early this year for some reason. . .
American Robins would not be migrating north this early, but a few of them actually remain farther north, wandering around in small flocks during the winter looking for crabapples and for berries (such as on holly trees).
