Jimmy Chitwood
Hall of Famer
i don't watch much baseball, but i'm still surprised that no one has begun a thread on the young rookie phenom, centerfielder Mike Trout. at just 20 years of age (and as of this post), Trout is hitting .354 with 6 home runs, 26 runs batted in, and 15 steals. defensively, he's completely transformed the Angels' outfield with his speed and glove.
Trout is so good, that even the negrophiles at ESPN are raving about him.
along with fellow rookie wunderkind outfielder Bryce Harper, Trout is poised to be a superstar face of MLB ... and he doesn't even turn 21 until August 7.
here's hoping for a long, healthy career for a great ball player, who is also by all accounts a great young man.
