One of caste football's favorite WRs has signed with the Cleveland Browns. I'd say its about dam time Eric Mangina got a white guy on the team team

I thought you meant- you had discovered to your shock that Furrey was part African.

Glad to know the Browns signed Furrey. Brady Quinn needs someone dependable to catch the ball unlike Mr. Dropsy, Braylon Edwards.

Would've liked to see the Browns sign Drew Bennett, but to expect them to sign Bennett and Furrey both is too much to expect. I do like the drafting of Robiskie; he should be a solid #2 type WR pretty much off the bat, solid but not afflicted with hands of stone or a primma donna attitude.

Mangini will screw Furrey over. I don't expect him to see much playing time. I don't think we will ever see Furrey catch 98 balls again.

I hope Brady Quinn starts because i KNOW he will use Furrey especially on 3rd down situations. They have looked good as a comboso far this pre season.

I wish the Shark would come back and play football and catch passes from Quinn. I really do hope Quinn wins the job and Anderson gets traded to a team that needs a qb...like the Jags or TB.

Quinn is the odds on favorite to win the starting QB job and Furrey has played really well in the pre-season and the announcers have been comparing him to former Brown's WR Brian Brennan.

Well at least it looks like Furrey will be the starter this season in Cleveland. Cribbs is so bad that Furrey will get another chance to be a starter. It is about time.

He may begin the season as a starter but the team (and the media) have been hyping rookies Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi as starting opposite hands of stone head case Braylon Edwards. Robiskie in particular has been promoted as "NFL ready," presumably because he's the son of an NFL coach and shouldn't have the endless "learning curve" so many black receivers do. Furrey will probably end up in the slot, which is a good fit for him. With Edwards and some rookies at WR, Furrey has a chance to duplicate his outstanding 2006 season.

From RotoWorld:

Browns slot receiver Mike Furrey took snaps at safety during Sunday's loss, and broke up a pass during overtime against the Bengals. He also chipped in four catches for 37 yards on offense. Furrey has played safety before during his NFL and Arena League careers. He had four interceptions for the Rams in 2005, then caught 98 balls for Detroit in '06.

He may become a two way player for the Browns and that would be good from a caste perspective to be skilled enough to play WR and Safety in the NFL.

He played safety before for St Louis I believe. Then he switched to wr and came in second in the league in receptions a few season ago with 98.

Positive spin...as long as he's on the field. It also shows that they obviously see him as a talented athlete who can play multiple positions
