Sounds like Tua is one more concussion away from having his NFL career end, voluntarily or involuntarily:

ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques reports Tua Tagovailoa will not participate in Pro Bowl activities because he remains in concussion protocol.

It's described as a "deliberate" period of time in protocol as he meets with multiple doctors and specialists. Louis-Jacques emphasizes that there here have not been any setbacks. Still, this has been nearly a month in protocol and it is fair to have some rightful concern over Tagovailoa's long-term health based solely on that information. Chris Grier said earlier in January that the team does not believe Tagovailoa is more prone to concussions than the average player and that the team plans to have him as the starting quarterback in 2023.
We have seen many other football players not even get to play in the NFL after college due to concussions. As many improvements
at the NFL has made I think they still need to continue working on helmet technology to protect the players as much as possible. That
being said the quarterbacks have alot of rules in place to help protect their health but these things till happen. Hope he recovers ok.

Natural Turf would cut back on knee injuries and head injuries imo.

Berrios has a good chance of being the Dolphins' slot machine as they currently have nothing worth mentioning after Tyreek Hill and Jaylon Waddle at WR.

Good to see the Dolphins re-sign Andrew Van Ginkel

He sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders. Listen and learn Braxton. Welker was and still is a legend. He was so close to
leading the NFL in receiving that one year
similar to Cooper Kupp. Would love to see Berriois take his game up a notch!
As that article linked above points out, Welker led the NFL in receptions on three different occasions.

I wasn't talking about receptions. I was talking about receiving yards in a season.
That wasn't likely given the way he was used. Leading the league in receptions three times was a great accomplishment. I miss the days of Welker being the premiere slot receiver and Jordy Nelson one of the very best outside WRs.

I agree. The New England Patriots with Brady, Welker and the Crew were the most fun I had watching the NFL in years. Green Bay was fun too
for a while but then things sadly changed for both teams. It's funny as you do something to win Super Bowls and then both teams ignore what
worked and do what doesn't work. It makes no sense but that's the Caste System right there.

Good contract for him, very under-rated player, in fact still practically unknown.

Sad to see Ryan Hayes get claimed on waivers by the Colts. Dude has a lot of upside I believe. Gotta save those roster spots for black sumo bums like Isaiah Wynn and Kendall Lamm.

Chase Winovich announces retirement. He was very talented and, in my opinion, was screwed over by New England where he initially starred and then was curiously relegated to the end of the bench.

Gay. I have a 100% belief that this guy could have been a big player except for the NFL. He was a stud with a "motor" for sure. Like Tim Tebow, some coach just said he lost his position battle

No question Winovich was screwed over big time, and by guess who, The Genius. Was the very rare White defensive player drafted by New England, had a solid start that promised big things to come (5.5 sacks in each of his first two years in limited action), and then The Genius decided to put him in his "doghouse." And that's all it takes in the NFL to effectively end the career of a White player. (see Isabella, Andy)

Winovich was outgoing with long blond hair, very much someone the fans took to. He was smart enough to realize he wasn't going to get any more opportunities and instead of prolonging the inevitable and did the right thing by retiring.

Winovich was just too clean cut of a White Guy, with the flowing blonde hair as mentioned. Maybe if he had some melanin and beat the crap out of his teammates and or women in his life, Genius would have been interested. All time screw job indeed.

Here I thought he might prove to be like a Clay Matthews, similar look and pass rush ability. But as you said Don, another genius moves by the increasingly anti-white Genius.

Eulogy for Winovich's pro career.

At Michigan, he came in with five-star stud Rashan Gary, who was always destined to be a first-round NFL draft pick by the age of 16.

Both Chase and Rashan ascended as elite edges at Michigan. Chase exceeded Rashan's stat totals. Was it because Rashan was "playing hurt?" Was it because Rashan commanded all the scouting double-teams? Who can say?

While at Michigan, there were posted graphics for position group leaders at the Draft Combine stats. I can't find such an image, so you'll have to take my word for it here. Chase was on top on roughly half of the DL measurements of that Michigan team and second on the others, trading with Rashan. No big surprise.

I'm not "disappointed" that Rashan Gary got a pro season to be mediocre and another to be injured; he's eventually evolved into a fine (but not elite) positional player. Chase Winovich got shoehorned into Big Bill's roster as a situational pass-rusher only, then phased out. Chase's career wasn't able to survive the anti-white predilection he faced at the NFL level. Fortunately, he's objectively handsome (unlike many of his roster-cut peers, if you know what i mean) and has avenues to softly fall into a new career.

Dolphins get rid of sumo Robert Hunt and sumo DL Christian Wilkins. Both signed ludicrous $100 million dollar contracts with other teams.

Dolphins sign sumo C Aaron Brewer from the Titans. Good God are they trying to get Tua killed? Hopefully this is just a stop gap and they draft Jackson Powers-Johnson but I have a feeling that Georgia sumo Van Pran may be more to their liking.

Rumors have the Dolphins showing some interest in WR Hunter Renfrow. That would certainly soften the blow of losing Van Ginkel. What I'm more worried about is that Center position. No way can we go into next season with this sumo Brewer as our long term Center. He's been a complete bum his whole career (not like the Titans have a good OL) and is a total liability in pass protection. Powers-Johnson or Barton HAVE to be the target here going into the draft. (crosses fingers)
