Galloway's washed up but that wasn'tclear until this season as he was injured in '08 following three straight thousand yard seasons. Now here's a great example of the kind of turd often found in the NFL who can't be "washed up" because he was never any good to begin with yet he keeps showing up like a bad penny:

The Browns worked out free agent WR Robert Ferguson, according to Adam Caplan. The Browns could use a playmaker opposite Mohammad Massaquoi, but Ferguson wouldn't be much of an upgrade over Brian Robiskie, Chansi Stuckey or Mike Furrey. Edited by: Don Wassall

LOL.  The Browns certainly could use a receiver like Jones.  He would provide them with a deep threat which they don't have right now.  The Rams sure could use Jones as well.  What ever happened with his trip to the Bucs?  Did Raheem Morris feel that Jones wasn't "good" enough for the Bucs?

Scumbag Donte Stallworthwas released by the Browns yesterday after being reinstated by "hardline" commissioner Roger Godell, but is already working out for the Lions. He killed someone but won't have trouble being employed by the NFL again. In fact, here is what the "hardline" commissioner is quoted as saying in an AP article I ran across today: "I think he's in a better place than he was. I think he recognizes what he did and the horrific nature and the unfortunate outcome, and I think he's prepared himself to get back in and play."

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the worst, what Stallworth did is a 10, while Matt Jones snorting some coke and then drinking a few beers is about a 2. And Jones is younger and more talented than Stallworth, who has been a super injury prone bust since being drafted in the first round in '02.

No racial double standard at work here at all.

If case(s) like this aren't proof-positive of the hypocritical caste system...nothing is!

The Matt Jones situation is one of the most friggin ridiculous caste situations ever. The way no talent non deserving black scum is recycled while this guy is ignored.......

and you have to figure his career is OVER, after a year of sitting out and no calls even after the late season injury replacements, who would risk playing him now?Edited by: jaxvid

Funny how Jones was described as being a freak of nature. Clowns like Heyward-Bey are allowed in the league after catching only 9 passes the entire season!!! Should we go on???

funny how youtube constantly takes down the Matt Jones video that shows he can play, even shows that his talents were misused, he was used as a possession receiver despite having deep speed. It would be like Randy Moss running Welker's routes. Sometimes they have Moss run those types of routes and he looks terrible. Jones was on pace for a 1,000 yards if he hadn't missed those 4 games and did well despite being misused. They leave up other NFL player's highlight videos, just not Matt Jones....

I'm glad that I'm a boxing fan at this point. Not much to see at this point in the NFL. They CAN'T PUSH THE EUROPEANS OUT!!!!

Matt to sign with the Titans on Friday.
Per... nothing really. This post doesn't site a source. However, there are people on that board who know Matt personally.
Not sure what crimes Matt committed in a former life to be perpetually cursed in this one with black QBs.
He'll probably be cut before the season starts, anyway.

I'll be a pollyanna and say that this is really good news, even if it's for the league minimum. He'll be able to showcase his skills, even with Radio throwing to him. I look at this as a foot back in the door for a player who was drafted based on his athletic ability, which whites aren't supposed to possess.

This is great news! I am sure Matt knows this is his "last" opportunity to make a NFL roster and he will show up in outstanding football shape. His skills and atheletism will carry the day even against the white traitors. My only concern is the head coach Fisher. I don't believe he has a record of being fair to his brethern. But enomored only with affelets who posses hands of graham crackers, can't hold milk let alone the football.

Best of luck Matt.

The two starters for the Titans are Justin Gage and Nate Washington at wide receiver. Both of them are terrible and in a fair league Jones would be a starter no questions asked. Since this is the Negro Felons League we will have to wait and see what happens.

Of all the teams in the NFL to latch on to... he ends up with Radio as the QB. If it weren't for bad luck he'd have none at all.

This is great news, with the hands of stone affletes the Titans have, Matt should be a starter straight away, but I wouldn't bet on it. With an actual reciever on the team, I would hope Radio has brains enough to throw him the ball.

Westside: The Tiatns did have Drew Bennett at WR for a year or two. But for the most part, Fisher's been a castophile.

AHDIW and Matt Jones as the new throwing and recieving threat in 2010! Who would have guessed. Man, now I will have to hope AHDIW succeeds in throwing the long ball.

Jack, don't forget the Titans also had Eddie Berlin. Berlin had very good speed at 4.43 but wasn't used much.

Jack Lambert I forgot about Bennett being there. He did have a couple of good years there.

This is great, Im glad he actually is getting another opportunity. I thought it would never happen. The sad part is he is going to another team that has a mediocre qb that likes to dink and dunk it, and his deep speed will not be utlized often. I hope he does well there, he managed to succeed his last year in Jacksonville despite being misused, so he should be able to do the same for the Titans.

Yep. First Blacksonville and now the team with the worst passer in the league. I don't like it at all but he probably didn't have any other options other than to keep waiting for other offers that may or may not have come in.

Maybe Young will get hurt or freak out again if he hears a few boos.

Don I think DaaaaMarcus Russell is the gatekeeper for the worst passer in the league, not to mention the King black quarterback. AHDIW is a couple notches above being the worst, at least based on his performance last year, which is to say he kinda sucked most of the time.

Some good news. This should help Carson Palmer out. Plus, Matt would do a lot better with an actual QB throwing him the ball.
From Rotoworld:

Titans beat writer Jim Wyatt "hears" that free agent Matt Jones is leaning toward signing with the Bengals.

The Titans' offer is believed to be for just $700,000, and Jones would compete with Kenny Britt, Justin Gage, and Nate Washington for playing time. The Bengals have a deep-threat need opposite Chad Ochocinco, but Jones' best route is the quick slant. Considering Carson Palmer's late-season accuracy woes and loss of arm strength, Jones' big body may actually be a nice fit in the Bengals' conservative offense.
