I'lll root for him over the affletes but he doesn't excite me. Like with Rex Burkhead and Toby Gerhart, I made it a priority to watch their games. I am just watching this because I have free time. He is going to have to do more than a 14 yard burst against a crappy team to impress me. Hes going to have to have more 20 yard runs, more yards after contact, more of making people miss. What I saw today is only getting what the blocking gave him. We won't see a White Thomas Jones in the NFL, hes already going to have a hard battle. Watch him be the first White rb to get drafted fairly and given multiple shots, well a few and then when he is average or worse like a Shonn Greene that will be rubbed in our faces for every new White back coming out. Gabe Carimi was overrated because of his jewishness and he has sucked, pretty sure that is who i am thinking of. But so far he has been the best back today with the rest fumbling and avging under 4 ypc

I don't think hes getting anywhere close to 100 today, there are up 45 to 3 and other backs have played all the snaps this half, one fumbling it on his second carary.

He is white, his religion may be jewish but I am sure his gene pool originates from either Germany or Russia.

Not that it matters but there's no such thing as jewish genes originating from Russia or Germany. The Jews were immigrants to Russia and Germany. They emigrated from Khazaria. Being around many Jews myself his phenotype also looks pretty Jewish to me. That being said I'll still root for him.

The Weisman express train to the Doak Walker award has been derailed over the last three games or so. Iowa lost two games so his workhorse amount of carries has vanished as Iowa needed to throw down the stretch and today he split carries with Bullock early in the game and the Mulatto Canzeri had a big game with close to a ten yard a carry average in a losing streak breaking win. It looks like the starting tailback role for Iowa is very fluid. I wonder if Weisman was Black would the situation be this fluid?

Don't be surprised if Weismans moved back to fullback this year. Coach Ferentz has been busy recruiting real talent and Iowa will have 9 scholarship RBs on their roster. So im his mind its "logical" to put the white boy back as a battering ram. Sad times we live in.

Unbelievable... This guy is listed as a fullback on NFL draft/scouting websites...

I'll be honest - I'm racially aware, but I always thought at the highest level of athletics nowadays, the only thing that mattered was winning, and thus no affirmative action, nor any other type of racial categorizing, etc. I thought there literally wasn't a place more "discriminatory free," if you will, in America!

But this is the last straw...

Weisman is the epitome of everything a premier running back at the next level should be... His hips and feet are very quick - quick enough to make the cuts and turns downfield and around the edge that separates college level and professional level RB's. A mere battering ram fullback, this guy is not.

His 40 time is listed 4.7, but that's just an arbitrary number when you see him on tape, and his ability to accelerate through the holes, and make the little cuts and turns necessary to get those additional yards. Straight line speed in shorts be damned...

NOTE: Just saw where he played at 225 his sophomore year, but beefed up to 240 now... They must have told him his only shot at NFL is the "fullback," or "tweener" route... SMH...

But every White RB has to fit another White RB/FB/"tweener" mold. Guarantee you'll hear comparisons to Mike Alstott. Nothng wrong with being compared to a beast like Alstott, but Weisman is more complete runnngback, and shouldn't really warrant comparisons to Alstott, who played like a stereotypical bruiser.

I see your point but Alstott was a complete runner, he had moves, its just the way they used him on 3rd and short constantly, goal line situations. It seems like every run he got that wasn't a quick hitter, was no farther than 20 yards away from the endzone. He had quite a few tds close to 20 yards though. Yeah he sought contact alot but people misjudge most bruisers, they rarely flat out run over someone, they use angles and position their bodies in ways where defenders rarely get a good hit, it takes skill, well a good deal of White bruisers do those things from what Ive seen, some more than others ( I think Hillis ran over people more consistently in the open field that were straight up in his path instead of just like a shoulder pad to the side or something)

But yeah he runs nothing like Alstott. Zach Zenner is also listed at fullback I believe and he is like 215-220 pounds.

Tyler Varga the running back from Yale is also being transitioned over to fullback for no good reason besides the fact he is white. He was invited
to the senior bowl as an FB even though he was a beast of an Rb for yale this season.

its nice to see a new poster here voice his disdain for the caste system. These RBs are probably best evidence for the caste system to be conveyed to the average fan.

Weisman, Zenner, Varga and Laskey are all very draftable prospects as running backs.

Yeah you're right - I was just trying to show an example of how they would almost certainly ONLY compare him to other White RB's, even if his style and attributes may closely resemble a non-White RB more.

I've been looking into this bias more now, and saw where at last year's draft, I believe, every single White WR was compared to only other White WRs.

Again - nothing wrong with being compared to White RBs and WRs - most are beasts - but it's just the point that every single Whte player in a "typically black" position, cannot be anything else aside from "another White RB/WR."

I bet somebody gives it to these guys honestly - and tells them their best chance at getting drafted/drafted highest is to put on as much weight/muscle as you can, and try to fit a FB/tweener role.

CHeck ths out man - I was just searching for White CBs (pretty much a position extinct of Whites past the HS level), and found a guy named Corey Bell (senior at Boise State). Anyway, he was a hell of a CB in HS, and was listed as CB his first three years at Boise State, but now, on NFL draft boards he's listed as "S first position/ OLB second position." A guy barely cracking 200 pounds is being looked at, as secondary OLB?!? Rather than the position he has excelled at the most - CB?

Then I checked Boise State's website, and his position is listed as "N"?

WTF... I doubt we'll ever see a White CB again in the NFL - despite the high IQ's of so many great White athletes that would make them beasts in the NFL.

I believe the "n" stands for nickel back. Kenny Buyers from north Texas is the only true cb I can think of off the top of my head.

also wanted to say welcome to the site. Hope you stick around.

Thanks to you (and others) who welcome(d) me; it's great to have a place to talk about these issues. Heh, most likely I'd be labeled a racist or nazi or have some other ridiculous label if I openly voiced my thoughts and opinions.

And that makes sense regarding the "n" standing for nickel-back. Still, the NFL draft page had him listed at safety for his first position, and OLB (wtf?) for his second position. Heh, dude is barely 2 bucks soaking wet with pads on, and they would rather rate him at OLB than his natural position of CB.

I do think this "N position" will be more a lot more popular in the future. I think defenses who have an extra safety type player on the field are more versatile, and inherently less vulnerable for big plays (running, or passing).

Sort of a hybrid linebacker/safety/cornerback. I think Brian Urlacher was used simiilar to this at New Mexico, although more safety/linebacker, and not so much nickelback manned up against the slot.

I expect to see a lot more 3-3-5 base defenses, and letting guys like Weddle have free range; have control the defense like a Manning does the offense.

He is rated at olb rather than cb only due to the fact he is white. Cb is not a racially appropriate position. Its pretty much that simple.

Implementing the 3-3-5 more often in the NFL does make some sense with the pass heavy offenses. I do feel that once defenses get more suited to defending the pass than the power running teams will come back into populariry to exploit the holes in the pass defense formations/schemes.

I view Weisman as the next John Kuhn, not a bad comparison to think about it. IMO he has a good NFL career ahead of him.

I can't see Zenner or Varga playing any position other than Running Back. With the right team and the right opportunity I think they could excel in the NFL.
Weisman on the other hand does fit the profile of a fullback. He only runs one route and doesn't have breakaway speed, also is size 6'1 260 makes likely to play fullback. I was never overly impressed with him anyways. Lasky's position is a fullback, but he he has potental to get a lot of carries because he is so good at plowing over d-linemen.

Laskey could easily be a running back. He is a powerful runner who initiates contact and has the ability to get more yards. If that turd Dwyer from Ga Tech was able to get meaningful carries in the NFL I see no reason why Laskey should not be able as he is the better player (besides the obvious reason).

I agree on Weisman - he is a big bruising back. But honestly there have been plenty of black players who are straight line, one cut guys that have gotten chances in the NFL. If you gave Weisman the ball 20 times he would avg 4 ypc.

Laskey should be a Running back, but Georgia Tech misused him. He has the speed to play Running Back, but thanks to sites like Rivals and every scout site, he is most certainly going to be cast as a fullback.

I think he has better running ability than Kuhn. I think he will need for a team that finds a way to use him productively for him to have more than a cup of coffee in the league. Lets face it fullbacks are as valuable as kickoff specialists, long snappers and other specialists. In the last few years I have seen so many fullbacks cut for no reason but the position being phased out of a new offense that a new head coach adopts.

As for the other guys Zenner's only position he can play in this era is tailback he is too small to be a blocking back and teams haven't used their fullbacks to do anything but block and the once a game touch in over ten years. I haven't seen enough of the two other guys to comment but off of their listed weights they are too small to be fullbacks too.

Both Laskey and Weisman were not invited to any of the pre draft events - senior bowl, east-west shrine game or the combine...what a joke
