Amen. I am able to access the CBS only games during the day and I was impressed the way Iowa kept their cool and got hot from deep late. Reminded me Wofford last night. Iowa has stumbled at the worst times this season but they have talent.
Rising freshman Wieskamp was stellar with 19 points and 5 rebounds. He was 4-6 from deep! One of the five best white freshman this year. And PG Bohannon did a good job fighting off the Bearcats pressure defense. And Baer provided a big spark off the bench. Good team.
I see Brady Manek had 18 as Oklahoma destroyed Ole Miss.
I think the Big Ten is 6-0 so far and they had the most team invited (8).

Minor thing but worth pointing out.
First has TENN HC Rick Barnes been a diehard caste proponent for years now? It sure seems that way.
He is stingy when it comes to giving minutes to bench player sophomore F John Fulkerson. But as I watch his spot duty today against Colgate plus the SEC tournament game against Kentucky I watched, I have noticed how athletic and bouncy he is but he is a bit raw.
The history of Rick Barnes suggests Fulkerson won't get a chance to blossom in the next two seasons. Which would be a shame because he does offer front court athleticism and rebounding prowess.

Upset special Iona has a 5 point lead on Carolina, Carolina will press hard in the second half but good passing and deft outside shooting and the upset may happen. I can't tell how many Whites Iona has in the rotation, I know one is a Serb who has a game like Vlade Divac, which forces Carolina forwards to leave the key to guard his outside shooting.

The most annoying thing about this year's tournament is that all of the "draft ready" superstars are black and many of them are on one roster, Duke.
Still bewildered they took off the redshirt for Joey Baker. Last night was the first time I have ever seen him play in college. He swished a three pointer and was bigger than I expected.
Alex O'Connell went 3-7 from the field at dust up time but it was disappointing to watch him miss a flying dunk. Even though the announcers admitted he probably jumped too high.
A lost season for this bouncy exciting talent. And Duke has turned very caste but I can't criticize Coach K given his stellar track record and he is winning with this caste crew.
Maybe next season O'Connell, Baker and Jack White can take on much bigger roles. They seem wasted now since they are all talented but time will tell.

Yes, Syracuse could be a good CF team next year. Girard really has alot of potential.
How about the ad series AT&T has for the tournament this year with the dorky white guy, I think they call him "Jeff" or something, who is portrayed as the generic white fool and is surrounded by blacks who can't believe how stupid he is. Just gratuitous, anti-white derision and hatred. Glad I haven't bought anything from AT&T in years.

Wofford keeping pace with Kentucky but big thunderstorm just lost my TV connection.
Wofford hung tough throughout but couldn't pull it out at the end, even though they were within 2 with about two minutes to go. Hoover was good but Magee had a lousy game at a bad time; he was 0-12 from 3 point range.

I really enjoyed watching Wofford beat all-black Seton Hall by 20 in the 1st rd! In Woffords all-white 3 Guard system it was a sight to watch all 3 score in double figures, with Sr. SG Fletcher Magee 6'4 200 scoring 24 pts, Jr. G Nate Hoover 6'4 185 going for 18 pts, and pass-first So. PG Storm Murphy 5'11 180 finishing with 11 pts!
It would have made my week if Wofford beat Kentucky, but they still played better than many people expected with a close score Wofford 56 - Kentucky 62...
I really wish Magee played better as he only scored 8 pts and it may affect his draft stock, but atleast Magee's lost came against Tyler Herro whos the best white-American prospect this year!

Watching Virginia - Oklahoma now. 7-1 Jay Huff hit a three, then a few possessions later drove from the perimeter, took one dribble and threw down a nasty tomahawk jam. Looked like a young Dirk Nowitzki.

GREAT effort by Iowa today. I was really hoping they could knock off that odious SEC Tennessee squad. The Hawkeyes did way better this tournament than I was thinking they would.
Luke Maye had 20 points and 14 boards today to lead a UNC victory over Washington.
Matt Mooney and Davide Moretti had 11 points apiece in the Red Raiders' destruction of all-black Buffalo. It's a damn shame they have to play Michigan next round.
Hopefully, Virginia got the monkey off their backs, as they have looked good against the Sooners. Jerome is leading the way with 14 points. Guy's shot hasn't been falling, but he's made a few nice assists tonight.
Between Texas Tech, Virginia, Michigan, and Purdue, at least there are a few teams worth watching, plus individual stars on other teams (like Maye on UNC, Tillie/Kispert on Gonzaga, Herro on Kentucky, etc.) It could be worse. Even though it sucks that it's all we've got. College basketball (like most other sports) has managed to find ways to squeeze white players out of the sport even more than they already were.

This has been a mixed bag season brought on by the fact that real stars like Kevin Huerter and Donte D bolted to the NBA. And also lost dynamic Grayson Allen to graduation.
With the Zion and Duke freshman craze to go along with other so called ready made black NBA hype types littering the college landscape I think most of us knew this was going to be a tough season and overall it has been a bit of a downer. One of the reason I lack a lot of enthusiasm for the big dance this year. Couple that with an upcoming draft that looks like the worst in recent years. The NBA Draft thread features an optimistic Deceptive Speed ( nothing wrong with that) and a realistic Truthteller. I think it will be a nightmare overall.
This was not a loaded white freshman superstar type class but several players like Herro, McClung, Wieskamp and Iggy played admirably but none of them were consistent. That can go with the territory of being freshman. Iggy is the most finished product but the others probably have a higher ceiling. They all must continue to improve if they hope to play in the NBA. McClung due to his size has the biggest uphill battle in terms of the NBA.
Meanwhile several white freshman disappointed for different reasons. Stanford's Cormac Ryan played a lot but never found a rhythm. None of the three ND freshman ( one was injured) rose to the forefront but Jack Lambert points out perhaps they can blossom next year. Villanova's Cole Swider had a difficult injury plagued season and the weirdest thing was Duke's highly rated Joey Baker having his redshirt lifted only to sit on the bench.
Jack Lambert noticed the downward caste squeeze too this season and while I do root hard for the likes of Virginia, what is lacking are budding white superstars. Assuming players like Herro and Iggy don't foolishly jump to the pros, I agree with JL that next season looks more promising.
Sadly the Duke trio JL mentions above never got their teeth into the season. And perhaps I am assuming too much to expect them to all of a sudden rise to the forefront after this hyped class jumps to the pros. But I like their talent and hope they finally get their chance.
Gonzaga ( shame Tillie keeps getting injured) is bringing in some monster white freshman and again it would be silly for any of the white Virginia guards Jerome and Guy to jump to the NBA.
But two potential white superstars will be entering the mix next season. As JL mentions Mannion will be an instant star and I can see him turning around that program in a heartbeat. Arizona was dreadful this year. A rarity. Mannion will jump them up. He is electric!
The other is PF Matthew Hurt who will announce his college choice on April 19th I think. Rumors are flying around three to four schools including NC, Duke and Kansas. I don't care for the caste inclined Kansas HC but if I had to guess at this juncture I think Kansas is the frontrunner. If he does pick them then he, like Mannion, will be considered a savior to a proud program who had a poor season. Hurt has incredible talent.

I don't think we have many women's basketball fans at this site but I have a few observations from their tournament. Some of the top players have been discussed but Oregon State guard Mikayla Pivec has been of interest to me for the past few years due to her track background. Now a junior she has blossomed into a star utilizing her strength and quick first step. A good all around player she is an exceptional rebounder for a guard. Last night she had a 19 point double digit rebounding game as they moved into the semifinals.
Baylor has a former number one HS recruit in big 6'4" Lauren Cox. She teams up with a 6'7" teammate to form a wall around the basket. She isn't Breanna Stewart but she has a lot of skills and is a top flight defender.
I was annoyed the Stanford- BYU tilt was on so late so I only watched the first half. Sorry I missed the second half where star Stanford F Alanna Smith did most of her damage in a win.
Smith is long, lithe, wiry strong and light on her feet. She has all the skills to become a great player at the next level. She can do everything on the court including shooting threes. Really impressed with her growth as a player the past four years. She has it as they say in basketball meaning she is a natural. She could jump towards the top of the draft heap soon.
Also noticed in the game sleek BYU junior guard Brenna Chase. I thought she moved like a jaguar and then the announcers mentioned she was a superb 400 M runner in HS.
Chase has one more year left and isn't WNBA material (the star on BYU is an Hispanic freshman) but she got my attention with her lithe movements and terrific wheels. They say she is a good three point shooter but was off in the first half.
Title is up for grabs as Baylor, UCONN, Stanford, MISS ST, Oregon, Louisville and of course loaded Notre Dame all are in the hunt.

Should be some good caste matchups tonight. Cheering for the Big Ten to take care of business and Purdue and Michigan St to walk away with victories. Hoping for good games from McQuaid, Eifert, and Cline. Along with Dutch bigman Haarms(7'3).
I am also looking forward to seeing Texas Tech's white backcourt.

Four of the six were white , including Ty Jerome who wasthe most prominent Wahoo. BSPN's obvious anti-white message being "The white team is going to lose". Fu#% BSPN, now and forever.

So far, so good. Gonzaga and Purdue both up at half. Although the Zags aren't exactly white-friendly, Kispert and Tillie on the court together for some stretches is much better than the all-black team on the other side. Purdue up 12 on Tennessee; I hope they're able to hold on for the win.
