It's been a great past 18 months for white athletes and Guy and Jerome should be being taking their place on the podium with the other white stars.

...with Alex Bregman, Verlander, and Brian McCann and their World Series win over the ~90% white '17 Dodgers...with Nick Foles and Zach Ertz over the Patriots and all their white receiving yards...with Steve Pearce and his World Series MVP performance over the ~85% white '18 Dodgers again...with McCaffrey's 1,000+ yard season...with Lawrence, Muse, and Renfrow's NCAA championship...with the rise of Luca Doncic and the Patriots' last championship...not to mention the Patriots over the Falcons. It turns out the Trump years are good for the white athlete.

Guy, Jerome, and Virginia should be celebrated, regardless of the fact that Jerome's dad has a tan. Guy, Jerome, and Virginia pulled off what Kaminsky, Dekker, and Wisconsin couldn't.

I agree with the last sentence 100%. Below are photos of Jerome parents. In the first picture (Yankee Stadium) Jerome senior has an almost Egyptian/Moroccan look to him and could either be your typical mulatto/******* type or a swarthy Middle Easterner or Puerto Rican/Dominican type from New York. My guess is there are tons of men that look like senior in the NYC area. As Howard Stern (who I haven't listened to since 2004) once said: Walking around New York City there are a lot of people that are not white or black....but I just can't figure what they are? Senior Jerome definitely fits in that group, I'd say.

In the second picture (at Syracuse) he looks a bit lighter. He has a non-white appearance, but not the look of your typical mulatto -- besides the flared nostrils. Kind of looks like college coach Kelvin Sampson, who I always assumed was mulatto, but turned out to be Native American. Also, in the photo Riggins posted, Jerome Sr. seems to have straight hair, not typical of a half-breed mulatto. Even Derek Jeter and the Chiefs quarterback/******* man do not have straight hair? Is it possible Jerome Senior's mother is a Rosie Perez type, dark skinned Hispanic?

Finally, I'd say Ty Jerome ( BTY his brother looks even whiter) has a look similar to NBA guard Tyler Johnson, who upon closer inspection looks like he might be part non-white? Fellow NBA guard Evan Fournier, from France, has a similar look to Jerome Senior and we know he's the son a tall, dorky Frenchmen and a Moroccan female, who is some sort of Martial Arts teacher.

P.S: booth, isn't longtime NBA head coach Rick Carlisle another former ACC star that played at Virginia? I don't think he was an explosive jumper, but he should've been on some of those better teams from the Ralph Sampson era?

Yes, he sure was. He was captain one year while Ralph Sampson was there. He was a clutch shooter and ball handler and was a 2 or 3rd pick of the Celtics. I am glad you remembered him Truthteller he was too good of a player not to be mention.

Shadowlight I was racking my brain to remember more players from the west. I grew up watching ACC basketball and I am more familiar with players that played in this region, but of all the players to forget I didn't think it would be Keith Van Horne. He had a 40"vertical could run like a deer and could shoot the lights out. Had a decent pro career. Casey Jacobsen from Stanford was also an explosive jumper.

First off Icsept caught me off balance with Steve Henson from Kansas State. Why he seems back of the mind vague to me is disappointing but I remember his face and name. Just can't recall his K State playing days.

Keith Van Horn was one of my all time favorite college basketball players and I had big hopes for him as an NBA player. He was a decent to very good NBA player but not what I envisioned. I fondly remember his Utah team coached by the likeable Rick Majerus that played but lost in the NCAA final. I was so disappointed.

Other names to chew on.

Shouldn't even bring him up because he is so obvious but Florida PG Jason Williams was there for only the 97-98 season but wow did I get behind him big time. He went on to have a good NBA career. One of my favorite players in college and the NBA.

More recently and kind of a Jason Williams wannabe was Ole Miss Marshall Henderson. Quite the cocky trouble maker but he could nail threes and was a flashy dunker too at 6'2". Played from 2012-22014 at Ole Miss. Troubled background but made some noise during the tournament. The NBA stayed clear.

Another even better Ole Miss leaper was SG Keith Carter who played there from 95-96- to 98-99. Averaged 16.4 his senior year. An exciting all around very good player who I thought would make a mark in the NBA. He was a fantastic leaper.

Brett Nelson was a freshman PG on the Florida team that lost in the NCAA final in 2000. I believe Mike Miller , another terrific college player, was on that squad. Anyway I had huge hopes for Nelson. He was the rare white PG that was a highly rated HS player and most gurus mentioned his quickness. And here he was leading his team to a final. He was skinny and I thought a sure future NBA player. But a not so funny thing happened on the way to the forum. Even though he played well enough his sophomore and junior years his senior year he fell off and ended up coming off the bench or something like that. All the hopes I had for him as a freshman had evaporated by his senior year and to this day Nelson remains a mystery to me.

Last but not least another player I went nuts over was dazzling PG Chris Herren who moved on from BC to star at Fresno State for Tark. Following on the heels of Jason Williams, Herren was the cocky white dude who could jump and was as quick as a fly. So exciting. Another 6'2" whirling dervish and for a while his junior year he looked like a lottery pick. But things stalled a bit and then personal problems and drugs ate him up so he never made any significant mark at the NBA level. He was drafted in the second round in 1999. Such a shame. One of the big time wasted talents. His son now plays at BC.

[Worth noting the "cool athletic white PG" school where Jason Williams and Chris Herren went has an offspring coming soon at a basketball court near you. Nico Mannion will take his highly entertaining brand of basketball to Arizona this coming season. Can't wait.]

Cute Katie Lou was chosen 4th by Chicago in the WNBA draft last night. Even changed her hair color for the occasion. Nice to see femininity hasn't completely died out.

Brett Nelson, Sam Oakey, and Brett Comer were 3 players I just felt like they were going to be good NBA players. I have no idea what happen to their basketball games. I was really high on Comer & Chase Fielder of Florida Gulf Coast, Dunk City they were called. It's like they felled off the face of the earth. On a little better news Jason Williams has a son who is the real deal, he is breaking ankles at Windmire Prep in Florida.

For a brief shining moment the dunk city gang of PG Comer and dunker supreme Fieler were the talk of the town circa sweet sixteen 2013. I especially liked the way Fieler dunked. Then poof it all went away so quickly even though they returned the following season.

Sam Okey. Odd. I remember the name as a HS recruit with some hops. Can't remember a thing about his playing days at Wisconsin and then I guess a season with Iowa. More was expected of him coming in but that is all I remember. Another "black hole" ( that is in the news lately and it makes for a great CF motto) for me.

Jaxon Williams is Jason's son but I have heard nothing about him as a prospect doing a quick research.
