Los Angeles Rams General Thread

Kupp seems like the type that will never complain, even privately, but after inexplicably being demoted in three different seasons and turned this year into the NFL's first "blocking wide receiver," it's probably for the best that he go to another team. The question is whether any team in the Caste NFL will use him as a starter at this point in his career as McVay and Stafford have done a number on him in addition to his injuries. Remember how the hype a few years ago about how Kupp and Stafford were "best buddies" was taken to ridiculous extremes? Guess it wasn't true, but then again every time a White receiver excels it's credited primarily to his closeness to the quarterback and not to his talent.

I would say that Kupp’s comments in that article would constitute him complaining. He’s not going to be more explicit than that.

At 32 years old next season, he still has a number of good or even great seasons left. Adam Thielen has operated as a WR1 for the last two years, albeit on the worst team, so I’m hopeful Kupp will get a chance too. He’s better than Adam, and 3 years younger.

Yes, I guess that would qualify as complaining by Kupp's standards. To even do that he must be really ticked off, justifiably so. No star Black receiver would be periodically demoted or all but completely ignored in the passing game, especially during his prime years.

I wonder what the reaction would be if there were some White divas, say McConkey and Pearsall, who were drafted early and are still very young and thus can't be easily cut or Caste aside. Has the NFL ever had what could be considered a White diva?

The Rams don't want Cooper Kupp anymore but sign this shrimp-sized bust to a guaranteed $10 million one year deal. "Tutu" has 99 career catches in four NFL seasons.

Rams re-signed WR Tutu Atwell to a one-year, $10 million contract. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Atwell’s deal is fully-guaranteed. The former No. 57 overall pick hasn’t lived up to his lofty draft capital, but Atwell is coming off a career-high in catches (42) and receiving yards (562) and has totaled 81-1,045-3 over the last two seasons. The one-year deal makes a lot of sense for both parties, as Atwell is a four-year vet of Sean McVay’s system, and the Rams are rumored to be moving on from Cooper Kupp, which could create an opportunity for more targets in 2025. It’s unlikely Atwell will emerge as an every-down option, but the explosive receiver will undoubtedly have a role in 2025.

McVays crocodile tears regarding Kupp, followed by the resigning of tutu. My goodness..

The elimination of Kupp from the offense over the past few seasons has been downright baffling. Just as baffling is resiging "Tutu" to a 1 year 10 million dollar deal - a 165 lb reciever with minimal production for where he was drafted.

Anyways I hope the Rams are able to land one of the talented White QBs to develop as a successor to Stafford.

Rams Center Brian Allen also retired.

So Rams move on from Kupp and sign the equally as old, and less productive per opportunity Adams.

Rams will falter this year.

The Rams went all-in the year they won the Super Bowl, glad it worked out for them but it's going to be a long road downhill for them for the foreseeable future.

The inexplicable phasing out of Kupp brings out the conspiracy theorist in me, that the Rams got an order from higher up about "whitey's getting too much glory, put a stop to it."
